We consider Etche as part of Igbos in South South. Don't think you are insulated from their hate. Once they get rid of hinterland igbos, the next target is Igbos in other region. Especially now that most oil and gas comes from the rich land of Etche, ogba and Ndoni.

Now, out of a total of 21 people killed by the January 15, 1966 coup plotters, only Lt. Colonel Arthur Unegbe was an Igbo, and the reason he was killed was because he was the QuarterMaster-General, Army Headquarters, Lagos, and therefore was in charge of the armoury. As a result, it was necessary, from the point of view of the potters, to kill him.

Africans, especially Nigerians are so backward in their mentality. Since this problem started by Azikiwe 50 years ago, your region, if at all you are from the West or North, have been in power for these 50 years, couldn't your principals correct this mistake of Azikiwe?
Why not at least expel these hateful Igbos that banded together with their military officers and murder leaders from other region?
Why didn't your leaders modify the constitution to revert back to status quo, or even set up a new constitution that will bar Igbos completely from Nigeria. why not let them be on their own. Is that too hard to achieve?
After Igbo coup, according to your wicked Nigerian British propaganda machine, these same Igbos left and decided to be on their own, but you invaded them, starting from Gakem and shot your way all through to Igbo heartland. Killed more than 3 million poor souls. If that is not enough, the what else? The truth is you Nigerians are exhibiting the common black man traits, which is hate. The hate for someone that is perceived better than you. Igbos have never been in the corridor of power for the past 50 years, yet your black ass will now allow them be.
You Nigerians are the typical example of the Blackman backwardness in thinking and organization. The state of the country today points out to this reality.

I keep seeing that igbos hate other tribe, I keep seeing that igbos do not respect their host.... I keep seeing all sort of things.

But I ask again, what have the Igbos done wrong in Nigeria.?

The Igbos are scattered all over Nigeria, but I have never seen or heard where the Igbos fought the local community and take over their land. All the land, houses, and shops that we own, we bought or rented it. We did not demolish anybody's house, we didn't kill and stole their land yet we are been called all sort of names.
There have been too many riots in the past. There have been riots in the north, in South west targeted against one tribe or religion, but I am not sure that there have ever been a riot I the east targeted against the yorubas or the hausas, except for now that UGM and IPOD issue sprang up. Yet they say we hate other tribes.

There have been fighting Several times between the hausa and yorubas in the south west over little issue... Am yet to see any region where there was a fighting between the Igbos and the locals. Yet they said na the igbo dey cause trouble, whilst all we need is just a place to do business.

They said Igbos don't welcome people to their region, but am yet to see where a group of people where chased out from the east for the sole reason that they are not Igbo. A little traveling in the east will reveal to high the high population of hausas residing in the east, despite the issue of UGM, a lot of them are still there. It is not our fault that some people have refused to travel out of their region.

They said we don't give people land. If you have your money, go to the east and look for land, you will see and buy. When we went to other regions, we bought land with our money, no govt agency gave us land free.
So when you get to the east, look for land and buy, then come back and tell us if you were denied the land because you are Igbo.

Officially a particular party, with majority supporters from South West, have branded your tribe the opposition to their party. They have employed all sort of propaganda machinaries to make sure Igbos are demonized and labeled enemies of the state.
Observe that every Obi supporter is tagged Igbos. Some Edo guys here have come out to point out this ugly trend. If you are Igbo, you are automatically an enemy of the state, according to these group of people.
This unfortunately was exactly how the civil war played out, that made many Igbos in the so called South South to start denying Igbo as an identity. My annoyance is the fact that this evil is been perpetuated by a particular group in the south because of their inherent hate for ndi Igbo.
If all Igbos can just listen to reason and vacate their region, if only Igbos will listen and move in mass out of their region.

Igbos today are no different from the Jews, we will always end up victorious!

There are certain things I wouldn't want to state right here, but just for some clarity, we are weaker now than ever. We need more of ako' nu' uche now than ever.

And the Igbo must adopt a method of self-preservation by recognizing all that has happened to them in Nigeria in the course of their citizenship. Unfortunately, if recent history is anything to go by, the Igbo experience in Nigeria is likely to get worse before it gets better in the near future.

The idea that Igbo should withdraw from national engagement is inimical to their well-being as citizens of Nigeria, as long as Igbo is part of the Nigerian citizenry. Igbo interests must be represented at the center, albeit strategically, and by the right people. There is an urgent need for regional amalgamation. Ndigbo must define and form a regional coalition of the willing. And, "Aku luo uno" must not remain a slogan, but a commandment.

What this entails is the recognition and synergy of ideas and resources between and among the immediate southern neighbors who share the principles of the Igbo way of life, who are also marginalized, and who are ready and willing to form an economic bloc to positively extrapolate and exploit the opportunities available in Nigeria's economic value chain.

In conclusion, total disengagement is not in the corporate interest of Ndigbo, but to play politics on the periphery and actively plan and deploy to actively dominate the national micro-and macroeconomic space. Nigeria will eventually crawl to your feet sooner than later.

Well said. As long as we pay taxes and FG extract resources from Igboland, we cannot divorce ourselves from politics and federal appointment, notwithstanding the need to reorient our people to think home first. Somethings are better said within close shots.

Inspite of whatever hate they have we continue to prosper because God has prepared a table before us in the presence of our enemies!

The Jews of Europe thought in this line of thought until Hitler gave them a never ending lesson of their life. Mind you, Hitler family physician was a German Jew. As in the doctor that took care of his mum until her death was a Jew, did he spare the Jews when he came to power?
Learn from smart investors. We are not saying you all should be based in the East, but strategically positioned yourself in the East, factories, head office etc, then invest in other friendly regions, i.e Africa, other than the region that has been singing it they don't want you. In fact they are about to start implementing policies that will see to legal confiscation of your properties. You don't need to let history repeat itself on you before you learn.
kam gwa gi, you can run your business right in your home front, while still maintaining a huge presence in the entire African market. it is possible. Think big nwanne.

Stale lines. You have been in power for the past 50 years, so what stops you from reorganizing the units back to it status quo?
You have been in the corridor of power since 1999 what stopped you from reverting back to regionalism?
You guys are hypocrites that keep repeating one line since time.
Now that Tinubu is president, pressure him into dividing the country to it former component units so everybody go rest.

Igbos should stop taking federal appointments. If possible Ndigbo should stop participating in Nigerian politics so that we cannot be blamed for leadership failures . If Igbos accepted my earlier advice around 2012 on using private trust funds to develop
Igboland we would have been like Dubai 11 years later this 2023. No time is late for a start but once Ndigbo detach themselves from politics and plot how to use commerce, industry and technology to rule the real economy of Africa then shall we actualize our potential. BTW my Ndigbo include all the Igbo speaking peoples including the ones in Rivers and Delta States. There are other highly educated and productive people in the South like Esan, Urhobo, Bini(Edo) that suffer same fate as Igbos that can as well boycot Nigerian politics and focus on self development.

Dalu Nnam Ukwu. This is an awesome idea. But don't forget FG take taxes from Igbos and also pump out oil and gas out of Igboland, aside our human resources, how do we now reconcile boycotting Nigerian government appointment to this? Can you also paste a link to your articles on this so I can read up also.

We are only defending and correcting their excesses.

Out of 15 senators only 3 voted for Yari. And why should that even be a problem? Abi no be democracy we dey practice again?

Every failed state and government usually have a scape goat to blame. Igbos will never be that scape goat. We have never been in power for the past 5 decades, never been president since the inception of democracy yet some people are up and ranting Igbos everyday. That's not cool.

I have been a member of this forum for a long time, before the heat of tribalism drove me out. I had to deactivate my account so to maintain my sanity. Been visiting once in a while to glance over news and current events. I have not overlooked the gross Igbophobia that has grown over leap and bound. The frenzy it's taking is just shot from an open attack. The amount of hate perpetuated by a political party, majorly from a particular region, before, on and after the election is alarming.
Having been on the sideline this long, I decided to create this account and talk to my people. Every Nwa afor should listen up. This is very important.

Don't take the Threats you Read Here for Granted: Before the election, I read several comments on how Igbos will be dealt with in the South West, albeit strategically, and stripped off of their capacity to chest beat, according to some. It is gradually taking place. Recent events in Lagos should clear your doubt. You were threatened that you will not be allowed to vote, and that really happened. Till date, no one has been prosecuted for illegally disfranchising so called citizens from their rights to vote.
Solution: if you are a residence or own a business in the South West, I wouldn't tell you enough what to do next. No real business entity survives a hostile environment. Things will get worse from here, it will definitely get worst, so think of the next alternative. Time to move back to the East. Time to move back to Igboland.

Pipe Low: [/b]Go and listen to Allen Onyema recent interview. Go to Charles Ogbu Timeline on Facebook and listen to that timely advice. When you are surrounded by haters, you become wiser. It is wisdom to maintain silence and observe. Metchiow onugi nwanne. You don't have to talk all the time. Some of us are braggarts and it's has a lot of negative fall back. You may feel the need to rob it on their face, but is that really necessary? Take a clue from the Japs, the Jews and recently the Arabs. Your focus should be how to gain every advantage to be better, make more money and give your kids the best of education. The future should tell more.

Let Nigerians do the Job: You see Tinibu government, allow Nigerians to rate him. Like I stated above, whether he succeeds or fails, shouldn't be your priority. The reason is because his tribe has singled you out as an opposition. They don't care whether we have very committed Igbos in APC, with two governors and numbers of senators, as long as you are Igbo, you are perceived as an enemy that must be dealt with. Nwanne, zere ishi gi. Take advantages of opportunities and grow your personal portfolio, that's what counts. leave the critism and scoring to Nigerians. Bupu ishi gi la nsogbu ndi Nigeria, whether good or bad. Stay on the sideline and observe.

Let's Develop Igboland: I will write extensively on this, but at the moment, take it as a task that you owe your future generation. Enough of the insults and taunts. We have been doing it, but this time, it is going to be a coordinated task which will focus on even development that should encompass social cultural development, political ideology, economy, education, etc. Take note, Igboland is not just the 5 Eastern States.

Embrace 21st Century Business Practices: I'm happy that a lot of us are really getting enthusiastic on the dynamics of digital mode of doing business. If you don't have an online presence, then you are missing out heavily on a huge market. I'm currently handling a project for a guy that relocated from Lagos to Port Harcourt. He is building his shop, majorly into sales of Building Materials. When I sold the idea of owning a website, the guy was elated and embraced the idea. He has been musing the idea but did not know how to go about it. If you own a business and don't have an online presence, please do it. Create your website, get a verified Facebook Page, Twitter Handle, and even a Youtube Channel. You will never regret this move. It is a global village right now.

Avoid Online Banters: Some of the posts and comments you read here are done on purpose to irk you and make you feel bad. But approach every conversation with a calm and civil trait. Do you know certain monikers here are on payroll just for that purpose? Yes, you read me right. Their job description is to antagonize you, abuse you and level up false allegations on you. That's what put food on their table. Would you blame them? The sole purpose is to brand you number one enemy of the state. Exactly what played out before the civil war. watch that video of that Itshekiri Grandma again, so you don't play into their traps.
Sometimes it is wisdom to ignore the fools, while sometimes you should engage them, correct perception, but if you must engage these paid trolls with demonic mindset, then do it intelligently and objectively.

Above all stay focused Don't listen to nay sayers. The East and Igboland is very productive and viable for your business investment. See how Ebonyi is beckoning for business investment. Whoever captures Ebonyi, has the whole of North Central to service. Ebonyi is a green land waiting to be explore. Don't believe fools who keep singing that the east is not viable for business. If Onistha, Nnewi and Aba can thrive without FG inputs, then any part of Igboland can also thrive, if given the proper attentino. We have what it takes to succeed.
