One Nigeria is a HELL already.

Anything else cannot be worse.

Plus, the 1999 Constitution is an imposed forgery. So we MUST get new Constitutions. If Nigerians as mumu vote to remain One Nigeria in a Referendum, then I and others must accept it. I will leave for Canada because my children will not be staying in a place where al-Qaeda terrorists are being welcomed. But even Prof Akin Oyebode an expert in Jurisprudence said the 1999 Constitution is illegitimate and we must get proper ones.

WE CANNOT HAVE OR KEEP A UNION BY FORGERY AND BY FORCE

Here is Nigeria, with an imposed 1999 Constitution that is a forgery, so null and void, and illegitimate. Yet, the State harasses, intimidates and kills those who recognize the Union is invalid and so want self-determination. We still have conflicting reports about the numbers of people killed in Enugu, on 23rd August... Our eyes are on this 1999 Constitution! Justice must be done.

WE WANT MIDDLE BELT REPUBLIC
14th May 2017
Sun News

It is time to let the Nigerian government and the world know about the “Republic of the Middle Belt”. The citizens of the Middle Belt have watched with keen interest over the years, the policies, actions and decisions taken so far by different administrations upon issues ranging from ethnicity to religion, politics to economics and many more, and have therefore decided not to keep quiet any longer but begin to peacefully agitate for independence and sovereignty of the area as a nation.

We have observed that the nonstop conflicts of different types in various parts of the country between two or more parties have come to stay because we have been forced to live together as one even when it is obvious that we don’t want to be one.

It is true that Boko Haram terrorists have killed and are still killing innocent people in the country and destroying properties worth billions of naira if not trillions. It is also true that Fulani herdsmen have killed and are still killing the people and taking over their farmland in order to feed their cattle as these animals seem to be more valuable than the people. It is very true that militants in Niger Delta have bombed and destroyed oil pipelines, caused a great reduction in the production of crude oil and are still doing more because their place is still underdeveloped while the money realized from the sales of crude oil has been used to develop other places.

Therefore, all the above listed conflicts and more can be resolved amicably if the right thing is done. The Nigerian government and the world should know that we cannot continue being together forever and there is need for any group that thinks it can stand on its own and survive to begin to prepare and agitate for her independence. At this point, I wish to appeal that the Nigerian government should peacefully approve the independence of Biafra and any other group that has the capacity and wish to be detached from Nigeria in order to allow peace, unity and progress to reign.

Notwithstanding, we cannot continue to live together with the people who value their cattle more than us, we cannot stay together with the people who are always killing us in the name of their religion, we will not go on living together with the people who want us to practice their religion against our will or wish, we are tired of living together with the people who have taken leadership to be their birthright, we will no longer stay together with the people who talk peace with the mouth but do the opposite in their action. Enough is enough.

Nevertheless, “Middle Belt Citizens” can neither go with Biafra nor remain with Nigeria. Therefore, there is need to let the Nigerian government and the world know that the “Middle Belt” is equal to the task and wish to be independent and be known as “Federal Republic of Middle Belt”.
This is a welcome idea that should not be ignored. We want a country of our own, we want our independence and we want the Federal Republic of Middle Belt. This is a very peaceful agitation that should not give room for any arrests.

With the way the Sharia-supremacist mis-leaders are intimidating Dr Mailafia for telling the world the truth about their genocide and land grabbing agenda, plus plans for war in 2022 so they remain in power, these people truly need to know that if they don't stop it, when Arewa is on its own, the oil pipelines will stop flowing to them, plus whatever gold and solid minerals they have will not be allowed through ports of the south so they can use camels across the dessert to wherever they want.

The future of the South and MB is very bright! grin

AREWA STOP! NOTICE

Separation from Arewa is happening. In fact, truth be said, it is actually Arewa that separated from the Union of Nigeria when they took up Sharia.

Usman Dan Fodio's Dream (Fulani empire will only last 200 years) and Gideon Orkar Prophecy (core North will be separate from the rest of us as in his great speech), shall come to pass. Google these. Great news!

Together, Middle Belt and South are warning Arewa to STOP killing and land grabbing in MB and South. If not, LISTEN we will deal with you. When we have separated from you Arewa you will not be able to use our ports and any of your planes over our air space will be shot down. There are consequences to your killing of our people and we are telling you now what your wretched future will be if you continue your genocidal terrorism upon our peoples.

So Arewa, go tell your people that peaceful dialog to end this Union is best outcome for you. We can remain on polite terms and you can use our ports and air space. OTHERWISE you get nothing from us.

Hear well: there will be resource control in the new nations that will come out of One Nigeria so all the pipes that allow you to steal eastern and mid-western oil and gas will be broken and removed. You're on your own!

THE ORDER OF THINGS
By Obadiah Mailafia
Scenarios
Vanguard News
On August 24, 2020

There was, uhmm, a storm in a tea cup the other day. It involved, shall we say, yours sincerely. Life itself, as I’m sure my gentle readers would agree, is a risk. Once in a while you have to wager some big risks.

The philosopher Aristotle famously declared that for you to have absolutely no enemies, you have to say nothing, do nothing and be nothing. I chose to say something. And for that, the blood hounds are out for me.

I have done the sums. Existential choices come with big risks. Some of the fascista who call themselves journalists were howling like wolves under the full moon. They ridiculed my testimony and poured scorn on my academic qualifications. “Obadiah Mailafia’s outrageous falsehood”;

“With Oxford PhDs like Mailafia”;…on and on they ranted. A small fortune has been paid for my head. I know the powerful forces behind the murder plot. I have even been told the vehicles they have been given for that diabolical mission. I have transmitted all that data to the right quarters.

I fear no man. I fear only God. They will fail woefully. Because I am not alone. Because they of the flaming swords are with me. He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Jehovah El-Elyon is with me. The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is my Redeemer and my Defender.I will not die; I shall live to glorify the Lord my God.

Judged by the order of eternity, the fitful drama of our puny lives is but a paltry thing. Like the play of ants beside a giant oak tree. They will surely gather, but it shall not be for me. Those who live by the sword will perish by the sword. They will drink their own blood and eat their own flesh.

Our venerable ancestors taught us that there are certain trees in the forest that you do not dare to cut down. You will die in the process of trying. “Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm,” says the Lord!

Before heaven, I stand by my testimony; knowing, as the English playwright William Shakespeare declared long ago, that cowards die a thousand deaths before their time.

If I had desired the worldly preferments that our ruling elites wouldkill for, I would have kept my mouth shut. But I dared to speak truth to power. Because my conscience will not allow me to rest. Because of the Joseph and Daniel anointing upon my life. Because of the heart-breaking suffering around me.

The power, pomp and pageantry of this world leave me defiant and unbowed. I am, by a nature, a very private person. My happiest life is to stay alone in my study, consorting with the ancient sages while listening to Bach, Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Vivaldi.

I have vowed to follow the path of all the Eastern Stars, until I die. A priest forever of the Order of Melchizedek!

There is, if truth be told, a great dis-order under heaven. Things are not right. The omens are looking very bad. From Daura to Katsina; from Zamfara to Birnin Gwari; from Southern Kaduna to Plateau, Benue, Adamawa, Niger and Borno; thousands of innocent women, children and elderly are being killed by murderous insurgents, marauding bandits and genocidal herdsmen. The ogre is spreading across the Great River and threatening to engulf our entire country.

The other week, a woman from my homeland was on her way to her farm with her three children when the bandits set upon her. Her children were hacked to pieces before her very eyes. She managed to escape by plunging into the nearby river. She has become a mental wreck. Last Thursday, one of our chiefs was executed together with nine members of his family. The carnage goes on.

Some of my gentle readers may have seen the video-clip of the near-naked young woman who was recently kidnapped by bandits and was being subjected to savage beatings. Amidst her wailing, one of her captors brought out a dagger and sliced her scalp into two like watermelon.

A great oceanic silence ensued. Heaven itself seemed to have stood still. This gory scene was not in Afghanistan or Somalia, but in 21st century Nigeria. What is being enacted before our very eyes is an incipient genocide. Government seems either unwilling and/or incapable of stopping the diabolical wickedness. They are trying, it would seem, to fill up the blood banks for insatiable demons.

Political philosophers from John Locke to Rousseau and Ibn Sinna have taught that men consent to be governed only because of a pre-existing social contract in which the state protects the people in exchange for their obedience. A government that fails in that elementary ontological duty is in breach of the sacred trust of civilisation.Without moral or political legitimacy, it can no longer count on the loyalty of its citizenry.

The Russian-Jewish émigré and Israeli parliamentarian Natan Sharansky has written a splendid book, The Case for Democracy (New York: Public Affairs, 2004). In it he makes a distinction between “free societies” and “fear societies”.

The state in a free society guarantees the life, liberties, livelihoods and security of all its citizens. Fear societies, on the other hand, are governed by fear, arbitrary highhandedness and repression. Nigeria has become a society governed by fear — over which an ominous culture is gathering like a mushroom cloud.

Some of the neofascists have cast aspersions on my family and origins. I come from a long line of ancestral warrior-kings among the ancient hills and warm springs of Sanga land. My late parents were evangelists.

Our Sanga people number around 600,000. The Greek philosopher Aristotle believed that a population of 100,000 is the optimal for his ideal polis or political community. We outnumber not only ancient Athens; we are bigger than the rich Asian kingdom of Brunei (459,500); Samoa (202,506); Tonga (100,651); Seychelles (98,005); Dominica (71,808); Liechtenstein (38,749); Monaco (38,100) and Tuvalu (10,200).

We are part of the great Nok civilisation that traces its origins to the Egypt of the Pharaohs. We are inferior to nobody. Our ancestors were never conquered by the Fulani Jihad.

I know every single one of my forebears up to the seventh generation. And I know where their venerable bones are interred. I wish many of my traducers could say the same thing. Most are, if truth be told, the progenies of alien bondswomen. This is why they are fighting to take over ancestral homeland by force of arms — and why they kill with such bitter and venomous hatred.

If left unchecked, the wicked political agenda which former President Olusegun Obasanjo referred to not too long ago, is capable of destroying our country. We are no doubt heading towards an implosion. What I have done is simply to perform my duties as a watchman over the night. It was a clarion call for a moral rearmament – a wake-up call to those who love Nigeria and care for her future. For following the dictates of my conscience, they are now seeking to crucify me.

But I shall not deviate from my high calling. Millions may die if I keep quiet and do nothing. It does not take a seer to know that our ship of state is heading towards what the sage Chief Obafemi Awolowo termed a “rock”.

As a student of systems theory, from a purely rational-scientific viewpoint, I know that no system could possibly endure the sorts of relentless pressures being exerted on it without something giving in: demographics, youth bulge, collapsing infrastructures, dwindling revenue, genocide, lawlessness, anarchy, ideological extremism, unemployment, skyrocketing conurbations, poor governance, mass alienation, deepening poverty, uncontrolled borrowing, ecological degradation, corruption and weakening institutions.

Our country is dying and some people are amusing themselves in a gaudy party like drunken sailors. They will have to answer for their follies at the bar of history. Sancti Apostoli. Ora pro nobis.

THE GREAT UNIONIST HOAX

Since Independence we have been hearing words similar to these since our childhood:

"Nigeria is a big country. It is the giant of Africa. Nigeria has ample material resources so that it will play a leading role in Africa and in the world."

Such words are meant to fill us with pride about Nigeria, and they make us feel that Nigeria is full of potential and will one day be great!

But these words were just meant to manipulate our minds. They are meant to make us believe that there is a good purpose to Nigeria. The truth is that there was only one purpose and agenda for Nigeria. It is for the South to provide the resources for the North. It is for the South to be the source of development for the North. Nigeria has never been about what is good for the South.

Unionists keep ongoing the myth of a "great Nigeria" and of a "powerful Nigeria" so that our minds will be focused on never wanting One Nigeria to split up, because if it was to do so, that "great Nigeria" would not be possible. Can you see how they have manipulated your mind?

Only you have the power to end this brainwashing. Look about you and see that Nigeria is getting worse every day. Look and see how young people are fleeing Nigeria every day. Look and see how corruption is worsening every day.

A "great Nigeria" is just Unionist manipulation. The Union is dead. It died at the 1966 coup. Nigeria is now a terrorist country, and not the country that was negotiated at Independence by our forebears.

Unionists have had 60 years to "make Nigeria great". But they have not managed because the only purpose of Nigeria is for the North to suck the South dry. That is what has happened in these last 60 years.

Nigeria, a great country is a hoax!

Our choice now is do we allow the Unionists to manipulate us for another 60 years, but now with terrorism, genocide and RUGA? Or do we say enough is enough.

RESTRUCTURING IS NOT ENOUGH

Unionists are trying so hard to make One Nigeria stay, even if by their usual threats and use of violent force.

Unionists have been eating well from Nigeria and their concerns is not for the majority but only for self. Most of them have made so much money that their children are safely abroad and they themselves have foreign citizenship or multiple entry visa for life. So these Unionists want us to stay in their Nigeria but they and their children will be abroad!

We say to Unionists: you have had One Nigeria for 60 years. So now it is our turn to divide Nigeria for our own 60 years.

Restructuring will not keep out the sharia-supremacist terrorists of Fulani herdsmen, Boko Haram, ISIS and now the dreaded al-Qaeda. To keep these undesirables out of our ancestral lands, we need to control our borders. Dissolution is Nigeria's solution!

So let there be a Referendum and we can vote either Union or Secession.

Some angry staff of Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission have attacked the convoy of Governor Hope Uzodinma for failing to offset their salary arrears.

The attack took place around Concorde Hotels, New Owerri, on Monday when Uzodinma was on his way to the 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze, to inaugurate an officers mess built by the state government.

The rampaging staff numbering up to 20, had among them a masquerade, a chain and padlocks on its body.

It was reported that the windscreen of some of the vehicles in the governor’s convoy were smashed and damaged.

The protesters were later overpowered by police operatives with 15 of them arrested.

==========================================================================

NIGERIA IS “INDIVISIBLE AND INDISSOLUBLE” – WHO IS RIGHT, UNIONISTS OR SECESSIONISTS?

Let us consider some things. Since Independence Unionists have been in power. That means they completely dominate TV, radio, newspapers and internet with their message that "Nigeria's unity is not negotiable" or "Nigeria is indivisible and indissoluble". Unionists eat well from One Nigeria either as "willing tools", or as prominent people or celebrities in their fields. You will see them on social media such as Twitter and Facebook condemning Secessionists and because they may have a large following, they are filled with pride and ego and think that only their opinion counts, and that the Union of “One Nigeria” can never end.

One regular thing these Unionists say is that Secessionists want war and violence. But let us examine the FACTS. History and recent events show clearly that this Union of Nigeria is maintained by State violence! We have the Biafra War. We have the massacre of Ogoni and the continued way their lands are occupied by soldiers and police. The Odi massacre of Ijaw people. We have the deadly violence against Niger Delta “militants” so called, who just wanted resource control as had been agreed pro-Independence. We have the military Operations Python Dance and Crocodile Smile in the East and Mid-West. We have OPC in O'odua land who in many cases met violence from Unionists so retaliated with violence.

If you fact-check, whenever any person or group wants self-determination-based and resource control, Unionists scornfully call it "agitation" then use State violence to quash it. So it is actually keeping the Union that brings violence! It is Unionists who use violence to force this Union to stay together! Then those that Unionists want to kill and destroy fight back, they fight Unionist violence with their own violence.

The added deceit and injustice of it all is that Unionists hide under a national lie, for, since the 1999 Constitution is a forgery, it is null and void, it is illegitimate and invalid. So stating that Nigeria is "indivisible and indissoluble" is arrant nonsense! Unionists have used fraud and deceit to maintain their bloody Union. Well, enough is enough! The right thing shall be done in this territory called “Nigeria”.

As we see, violence belongs to Unionists. So what of Secessionists? It is true that secession in some countries has been through violence. Why? Because the Unionists will not let them go! Violence is always from Unionists. Note that well.
Although Unionists bring on violence, there can be secession without actual war. Such as the break-up of the former Soviet Union. There it began in the late 1980s with growing unrest in the various constituent republics, and ended on December 26, 1991, when the Supreme Soviet voted the USSR itself out of existence.

In Nigeria every single secessionist group has said that they want to exit in a PEACEFUL way through dialog, whether it is Ogoni, Ijaw, Igbo, Yoruba, etc. And in response the Unionists ALWAYS say that there will be war, because violence belongs to them. This is the truth. Check it out.

Nigeria’s Union is negotiable! The 1999 Constitution that says Nigeria is “indivisible and indissoluble” is a null and void forgery imposed upon the ethnic nationalities of Nigeria. The world is watching. So Unionists be careful about your well-known violence and threats. By Referendum those who want to exit the Union can do so.

Please forward.

Very resolute and determined

His only crime is his tribe, religion and party affiliation

Southern Kaduna unrest is as old as Nigeria.....not enough to discredit him

This type of talk is why SEPARATION FROM AREWA is the only way out of mad nonsense. Dissolution is Nigeria's solution.

Southern Kaduna is MIDDLE BELT and indigenous people will get their ancestral lands back. Fulani can go back home to their Futa Jallon.

Go to Cameroon. It's not by force to be a Nigerian. Good riddance!

Arewa go back to Futa Jallon. As for me, I shall remain in my own ANCESTRAL LANDS, in Freedom and not any "estate of Dan Fodio".

NIGERIAN - ARE YOU A UNIONIST OR A SECESSIONIST?

First, because the imposed 1999 Constitution is a Forgery it is Null and Void so not binding. In this forged document, whoever wrote it put their own opinion that Nigeria is "indivisible and indissoluble" and over the years the deceit is that Nigeria's Union is not negotiable. Some have become so brainwashed to think that the skies will fall and the earth end if the un-negotiated Union ends, even though for centuries their ancestors lived in their own kingdoms and there was no place called Nigeria. These are the UNIONISTS. Some of them are the "willing tools" who are either eating well or catching crumbs of the national cake and are satisfied for their own self. Even though Nigeria is a confirmed FAILURE of 60 years they still will shout that they have a miracle to bring a dead thing back to life.

The other group have refused to be bound by the fraudulent 1999 Constitution and know that saying Nigeria is "indivisible and indissoluble" is rubbish from a Null and Void Constitution. This group wants to free their ancestral lands from remaining "an estate of Usman dan Fodio" filled with Sharia-supremacist terrorists. This group are the SECESSIONISTS.

Which one are you?

Choose ye now this day whom ye shall serve. The Caliphate estate of Dan Fodio? Or, serve the good people of your ancestral lands?

Please forward to all Nigerians to choose: Unionist or Secessionist?

STORM IN NIGER DELTA OVER ALLEGED PLAN TO HALT AMNESTY PROGRAMME
By Emma Amaize, Davies Iheamnachor and Perez Brisibe
Vanguard news
August 16, 2020

PORT HARCOURT – There was outrage in Niger-Delta, weekend, over leaked information that the Committee set up by the Federal Government to appraise the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, for ex-agitators in the region had supposedly recommended that the programme be terminated this year.

Pan-Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, the mouthpiece of the people of the coastal states of Niger-Delta region, other stakeholders, including agitators, across the region, kicked against the plot, warning that ending the programme abruptly was like declaring mayhem in the oil region.

Don’t scrap PAP – Chief Sara-Igbe, PANDEF BOT member

National Coordinator of South-South Elders, and Board Member of the Pan-Niger Delta Elders Forum, PANDEF, Chief Anabs

Sara-Igbe, said the purported recommendation was not in the interest of the nation. Sara-Igbe urged the Federal Government not to implement the report of the committee, accusing the office of the National Security Advise of failing to do justice to the programme.

He said: “This rumour has been on that the government wants to scrap the amnesty programme. I think it is the worst recommendation ever that anyone should give now to the government especially now that we are facing challenges of Covid-19 and economic issues.”

“The programme has stabilised the region and should not just be called off if the government want to peace to be sustained. If the end it this way what it means is that people may have to go back to work.

“The National Security Adviser, NSA, has not supervised the programme properly. We think it should be transferred to the office of the President for it to be properly supervised.

“Many people are still in training and many have not even gone for training. Some have not been paid for months, so ending it means you will have abandoned people.”

It will cause turbulence – Chief Oyibode, PANDEF youth leader

National Youth Leader of PANDEF, Chief Vincent Oyibode, told Vanguard: “I call on the Federal Government not to consider the plan if any committee, cabal or person recommended the evil plan to it.

“What the government should do is to refocus the Presidential Amnesty Programme and appoint trusted and upright Niger Deltan to administer the programme.

“To end it now, that is suicidal, it will cause unrest in the region and all youths of the region must stand to defend their right. This is nepotism taken too high.

“I call on all ethnic youth leadership of the region, particularly the agitators to come out to defend what is ours. We are tired of the husband and wife relationship called Nigeria. The leaders of Niger Delta should all wake up.

“Governors of Niger Delta states should go and see Mr. President immediately to know what he is really doing with PAP. I do not know if he is unaware that some cabal that are enemies of the region, within and outside are plotting this devilish plan.

“The National Security Adviser, NSA, office should remove its eyes from the Amnesty Office, the office should be moved to the office of President directly, “Oyibode said.

It’ll complicate N’Delta crisis – Dr Harry, S’South leader

National President of South-South Chiefs, Elders and Opinion Leaders Forum of Niger Delta,

High Chief (Dr) Omubo Harry, told Vanguard: “This is an attempt to compound the problem we already have in the region. The poverty issues, marginalization, neglect, lack of jobs in the region have not been resolved and they are recommending that the programme ends this year. I think this is a product of bad sense of reason.”

“Why do they want to start violence in the fragile region at this point? Why should they think in this line if they are interested in the peace and development of Niger Delta?

“The purpose for the introduction of the programme has not been achieved so there is no need ending it now. There is not yet change in the living standard on the people.

“If they do this, I fear that youths may return to violence because the purpose of this programme has not been achieved,” he added. It’s a call to anarchy – Igbifa, IYC president

President of Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, Mr Peter Igbifa, told Vanguard: “I had warned against it earlier when we heard of it as a rumor, but however, I hope those wishing or recommending that the programme be stopped do not plunge Nigeria into a state of crisis because the people of the Niger Delta will not tolerate this action.”

“Reason for this is because the programme has other parts beyond just payment of stipends. It is a programme with a purpose in the region. Basically speaking, this so- called recommendation is a call to anarchy.

“If the panel has indeed done that without engaging with stakeholders, they should ensure not to mention it at all because we are indeed actually calling for the appointment of a substantive Coordinator and Special Adviser of the Programme, which must be someone from the region,” he said.

NSA can’t be a judge in his case – Udengs, ex-Bayelsa comm

Former Commissioner for Youths and Environment, Bayelsa state, and ex-IYC president, Mr. Udenga Eradiri, accused the National Security Adviser, NSA, whose office supervises the programme of being complicit in the allegations trailing the programme, saying: “The NSA can’t be a judge in his own case.”

“To hear that such a recommendation was done shows the lack of understanding of the programme and failure at the highest level.
“We have been skeptical of the committee saddled with the management of that programme by the NSA because he seems not to be coming to equity with clean hands.
“So for the committee to make this recommendation shows a lack of understanding of the foundational reason the programme was set up in the first place.
“So for me, for issues regarding the Niger Delta, the president is not serious about that, otherwise, the Amnesty Office, NDDC are enmeshed in allegations of corruption and yet the president has been silent about them.
“However, I am not surprised because the NSA’s office has been complicit in allegations of contractual arrangements and these allegations are everywhere and nobody has investigated them, so for the NSA to now set up a panel to look at the office is like being a judge in your own case.”

Recipe for full-blown crisis – Oweilaemi, ex-IYC president

Former President IYC president, Pereotubo Oweilaemi Esq., asserted: “Stopping the Amnesty Programme at this point in time is a recipe for full-blown anarchy in the oil sector.”

“This Programme is the lullaby that pacifies the restive youths in the Niger Delta. President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government should know that the truce leading to the grant of the Presidential Amnesty to the freedom fighters has not been implemented on the side of the Federal Government.

“The Amnesty Programme is the live wire that still holds the peace in the region.

“If this programme is stopped today, it means the federal government is saying the boys should go back to the creeks. Before the government can think of ending the programme, let it implement the demands of the ex-militants, including that of PANDEF. That is the only justification to end the Amnesty Programme.

“I hope that Buhari government is not trying to unnecessarily stoke the ember of discord in the region. I do not think Nigeria can contend with the consequences of stopping this Programme at this critical time of international economic mettle down because the outcome will be disastrous to our economy,” he stated.

We’re dumbfounded by the plan – 21st CYNDAC

Campaigners under the auspices of the 21st Century Youths of Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience, 21st CYNDAC, in a statement by the leader, self-styled “General” Izon Ebi, told Vanguard: “We received with shock and disbelief the leaked intelligence report by the committee set up by the federal government on PAP recommending the end of the program in 2020.”

“This is so unfortunate and unbelievable taking into cognizance the effort put in by patriotic and honest leaders like the Late President Umaru Musa Yaradua to persuade the Niger Deltans with the amnesty program for honest and holistic approach to the myriad of problems that led the youths to take up arms against the federal government.

“Terminating the amnesty program now without the federal government fulfilling its own part is very risky and has its own consequences. For us, we view it as another decoy to plunge the Niger Delta into another round of crisis again since the merchants of violence are no longer profiting in their venture since there is fragile peace in the Niger Delta.

“The agreement reached with agitators to lay down their arms to accept the offer of Presidential Amnesty which has hitherto outlined terms and conditions to be complied with by both sides, the amnesty program is a well thought out developmental program of the then government of President Umaru Musa Yaradua with different segments.

“The program was phased into three segments which are, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration for the first segment, rehabilitation for the second segment, and Strategic Implementation Work Plan, SIWP, for the third segment. Granted that the first segment has successfully been carried out, however, we are still in the second segment, which is the rehabilitation process.

“Engaging the youths in vocational training or sending people to school as well as the empowerment program are all part of the rehabilitation process.

“There is no time limit as to when the program will be terminated, especially when all the segments have not been executed. The third phase has not been attended to, which is strictly the massive development of the region.

“Therefore, 21st CYNDAC) are not beneficiaries of the program, the current lull and inactivity in the execution of the cause call for grave concern as it is steering youth restiveness in the region.

“The seeming peace of the region is peace of the graveyard. It will be counterproductive if all efforts over the years are allowed to go to waste because of the lethargic and lackadaisical attitude of the government in the administration of the amnesty program.

“It is our prescription that the Amnesty Office be reinvigorated to deliver on its mandate of reintegrating the beneficiaries into the mainstream of society through their various programs.

“We are averse to the amnesty program being run by the transition committee as the said transition committee has never shown will and commitment in the administration of the amnesty program.

“It is a lackadaisical approach to end the amnesty program, which is already steering embers of restiveness in the region.

“The federal government should be proactive not to allow it snowball into another round of crisis that will erode all the gains and efforts made by honest and patriotic leaders because it will not be the analog way of the past, but it will be digital this time around because a lot of hidden agenda has been exposed to the people of the Niger Delta,” he said.

Ending PAP‘ll create avoidable tension – Ozobo, IPDI

Ijaw People Development Initiative, IPDI, in a statement by the national president, Mr Austin Ozobo, told Vanguard: “We are against the recommendation to end the programme in 2020, as it will create avoidable tension in Niger Delta region.

“Such persons given such advice are enemies of Niger Delta and Nigeria at large. The current peace and the uninterrupted supply of crude to the coffers of Nigerian government is as a result of the ongoing presidential amnesty programme.”

“The program cannot stop, for now, it will cause uncontrollable violence in Niger delta. More oil facilities will be attacked. The enduring peace will be chartered.

“The crime rate will sky rock as there is a possibility of many repentance militants returning back to the creek to declare showdown with oil multinationals and government installations.

“It should be noted that the ex-agitators has no other means of livelihood, they largely depend on the N65,000 naira stipend for survival.

“And stopping the program means pushing these large number defendants to go and start all over again. And you know to start over is always difficult.

“The government should jettison from this ill-fated advice. You know that lots of persons have not been trained.

“The remaining months of the year will not be enough to train the remaining militants expecting a call for training.

“Another thing is that there is no possibility that thousands of ex-agitators, who are in school and various training centres will graduate completely from school for the remaining months of the year.

“Thousands of those trained have not been given starter packs and others graduated may face discrimination in the labour market.

“While some are not qualified for the labour market due to the poor training offered in some training centres, it is our candid advice that the program should be extended for some further years for peace and uninterrupted supply of the national cake,” the group cautioned.

NIGERIA FACING ANOTHER SECESSIONIST MOVEMENT IN SOUTHWEST REGION
14th August 2020
ICONS NEWS

OSOGBO — Amid the Biafran separatist movement in the old eastern region of Nigeria, another secessionist movement has began in the southwestern region of the country.
The clamour for the “Republic of Oduduwa” that came in force barely two months ago amid clamour for Biafra has brought the oil-rich African country that has fought against Biafra for decades into the limelight.

Many believe that Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a prominent Nigerian separatist group, influenced the new secessionist movement in the southwest.

Experts have repeatedly blamed the renewed Biafran separatist movement on government insensitivity and ill-treatment in the south-south and eastern region where clamour for an independent state known as Biafra began.
