Buhari could have used his name and influence in the north to campaign for any number of progressive policies - ending child marriage and lowering the rate of fistula occurence; encouraging polio vaccination in order to end the scourge of polio; ending almajiri culture; encourage governors to use their Federal allocations to build schools; encourage family planning so that the poverty rate will not grow.

Tackling anyone of these issues would lead to improved circumstances in northern Nigeria, that Buhari failed to campaign for even one of them says that he has no understanding on the importance of good policy or he is a coward, afraid to confront those within his own community who insist on holding the majority in a servile and pitiful state.

Instead, General Buhari decided that he would fight two issues publicly:

1. Sharia law

2. Boko Haram ("an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north" )

What did either of these two issues do to improve the lives of those in northern Nigeria?

How does anyone reason that a coward with no sense of priorities and no pedigree when it comes to policy or administration is a good choice as an Executive President?

Mind you, lagos does not have oil revenue, and the Nigerian ports revenue people usually refer to are going to the federal purse. Nigerian Ports Authority is a Federal Parastatal. Somany people confuse it to be a source of state revenue. As at now, FG is owing Lagos 40 billion.[/b]

The murder of balewa was the catalyst for what could have been avoided.in all my years j have never had Igbo take responsibility for the first coup and own up that if neo wu hadn't killed the leaders all these wouldn't have happened. Do you know most governors of Kano state are from other northern states. The common thing is they are considered Hausa and most likely were born in Kano. A lot like this obtains in Yoruba land. I don't know what obtains in Igbo land, but for you to be governor in Hausa land or Yorubaland, you must be identified fully with the people there.

Hausa's or Hausa Fulani's are used interchangeably. Your assertion as to the Igbo being more than the Hausa is debatable, since Hausas (I think) have far more established settlements in Lagos.
