lastpage: There you go again! You want to join the conversation by all means and dont know what to say, right? Okay, you are welcome.
Having said that, "Sophistication" is not about travelling all over the place carrying drugs or selling fake, sub-standard goods or leaving your own land barren and unoccupied or boasting and acting without thinking FIRST!
Get this once and for all: The Sophistication we talk about is a Group of people who have evolved above primordial tendencies commonly found in lower animals. This evolution is reflected in their "Decision-making and thought process", in general terms. *We have given the example of how Awolowo "checkmated" the Robbery of Benin CBN by Biafran robbers and collapsed their economy, not to mention how he ended the war "quickly" using sheer wit. *We have mentioned somewhere else how Yorubas have been able to inter-marry amongst other tribes, showing that they have evolved beyond the level of "our tribe". *We have seen how Lagos is the most Accommodating and Peaceful state in Nigeria, irrespective of where you come from, something you will only find in sophisticated economies of the Western world. *We have seen what happened in the last election and how the Yorubas have quietly gone about achieving their aim, despite that Jonathan was an "incumbent" and the Ibos were too busy chest-beating and doing gra-gra! *We have seen how over and over again, Yorubas have chosen "Peace and use of "Native Intellect", (something Ibos erroneously call "cowardice" to achieve their set-objective while Ibos are always baying for war, to achieve even the simplest things.
Now, l am speaking in "general terms" thus l am not ruling out the "odd-ball" from other tribes who can also get sophisticated probably due to exposure to Yoruba culture/Environment but they are in so "small and scanty" quantity.
I dont know how l can break it down for you, lower than this.
And FYI, it is not a "boastful thing", it is stating observed facts, not in nayway intended to put others down. Even the Ibos l grew up knowing, were so scared of taking-on the Ijebus, as they fear their level of acumen. Just try and cheat an Ijebu person in business and see if you can get away with it That is "sophistication", my friend!

mikeansy: The Chinese, the Japanese, the Arabs or even the scots or British all have cultures too and business suits is not their traditional attire
Nigerian leaders should stop wearing gowns to international events in the name of projecting culture! It smacks of unseriousness
How does the Nigerian president wearing an attire that represent just 1 out of the perhaps over 200 cultures in Nigeria represent the Nigerian culture? How does this foster unity? Are there not other local events within Nigeria where the President can do his cultural attire?
We need to get really serious as a nation and embrace what is more important.
Why is Nigeria's most successful businessman not wearing Agbada around the globe? If this is the only thing that's important?
We need serious leadership who is in tune with international best practice on leadership. This sleeping gown wearing leaders just do nothing but continue our slow attitude to governance!
No wonder 1 week and counting they can't even make a list of minister! |

Udmaster: Its funny to see how they exhibit their stupidity and dare to call S.E people Oil Thieves.. At Udi and Ozalla in Enugu, there are many untapped crude oil and natural gas still untapped, some time, it has spills into their farmland.. Even at the boundary between Enugu and Anambra, there is a discovered yet untapped Crude oil.. Am sure there will be an untapped crude oil in Ebonyi state.. IMO STATE have the highest natural gas reserve in Nigeria. Abia State have the highest number of bauxite deposit in Nigeria Ebonyi State have the highest number of Limestone deposit in Ntalaku. Enugu State have the highest number of Coal deposit in Udi.
The SOUTH EAST is Blessed with many natural resource. NB: The North and South West are the parasites that are tapping SS oil.. WE S.E HAVE OUR OWN OIL. its better you don't start revealing all these information....because they would think its a lie......its best you just allow many of them to wallow in ignorance.......there are even so many places in Imo alone that hasn't even been touched yet....... |

Messi Operates an average of 94% when it comes to matches like these.....so a defender needs to have near 100% concentration to mark him out or deny his scoring chances.....suarez operates on a 85% level ....a defender needs to be roughly @ par with him not necessarily 100% or near but @ the same level he is which means maximum concentration.......neymar operates on probably 80% level.......u just need to be on a concentration level of 75%....not as high as suarez and messi who are extremely dangerous.....but if u loose sight of neymar,am sorry for u.......juventus winning this trophy has to do with 100% determination,100%concentration........the defence should be tight.....attack whould be lethal and precise.....juve is going against a club with the best three strikers in the world.......unless God would play a trick on us,barcelona is going to win the UCL......barca all the way |

BuddahMonk: Osun economy is bigger than than those of Russia, Brazil and China. The airport have been completed in Germany but there no crane in Nigeria to offload it from the ship that will bring it into Nigeria so Ogbeni decided to wait until the ship that will bring the airport is ready.
Even Osun is building a seaport because the Lagos seaport cannot contain the ship that will bring the airport to Nigeria so Ogbeni decided to build seaport too.
Osun stadium is being built in Japan, after Japan will build the aeroplane that will drop the stadium at Oshogbo because no ship can accomodate the stadium and no seaport can enter the massive stadium with 23 football pitch and 222 swimming pool.
Abeg face your village, Osun is the biggest economy after US. |
