I happened to be there. He was not robbed but was attacked by bottles being hurled at him. He had to seek safety UNDER the stage |
angelTI:Snap pictures? I was trying to save my head and finding a way to get out of there |
I was at the Calabar carnival concert today. Unfortunately, it ended on a violent note. Less than five minutes into the performance of kiss Daniel, all of a sudden, we just realized the barricade was broken and people were screaming out of fear while running helter-skelter. Kiss Daniel had to be whisked off the stage. After a while, when everywhere seemed to have calmed down, he was brought back to perform. The dude was seriously shaken as he kept apologising and saying he was trying to gain his composure. Not even up to 5 minutes after his come back, bottles and broken bottles started to fly on stage missing him narrowly, the barricade gave way and everyone started scurrying for safety. KISS DANIEL HAD TO SEEK REFUGE UNDER THE STAGE, when I was going under the stage that's when I saw him. There was no VIP there. It was all about safety. I felt sorry for him. He is such an adorable lad. |
Dem fit bag PhD for inside the bag? |
Life is a stage. we play our roles and take a bow and then the curtain falls. . . l recall the part he played alongside Kate in the movie " when the Sun sets" and he singing in Daniel Wilson's music video. The ponytail was his signature look then. Though he later cut it off. I miss him. |
Yes they do. I even wrote an assessment with PWC last December 22, yet to get a feedback. It was for experience administrative position. |

Moderators, what are you waiting for? Move to front page |
This should be on front page, my thought. |
2tex:I very much agree with you on this, gone are the days you log on to nairaland to get updates on world events. Presently, all we see on fp is tiwa or chikka ike that, wizkid did that, as if we have no intellect. It is high time Seun overhaul the present kid mods and replace them with intellectuals |
kingmekus:Today was different, his face was expressionless and carried no emotion. As the Judge read out the sentence, he just stood with a "stoned Face". |

The chief executive of the French oil company Total, Christophe de Margerie, was killed when a private jet collided with a snow plough at Moscow’s Vnukovo international airport on Monday night. “Tonight a plane crashed when it collided with a snow-clearing machine,” said airport spokeswoman Elena Krylova. “Three crew members and a passenger died. I can confirm that the passenger was Total’s head De Margerie.” The oil company said in a statement: “Total confirms with deep regret and great sadness that chairman and CEO Christophe de Margerie died just after 10pm (Paris time) on October 20 in a private plane crash at Vnukovo airport in Moscow, following a collision with a snow removal machine.” The collision occurred just before midnight as the Dassault Falcon business jet attempted to take off bound for Paris. De Margerie, 63, was on a list of attendees at a Russian government meeting on foreign investment in Gorki, near Moscow, on Monday. Hours before his death he had met the Russian prime minister, Dmitry Medvedev, at his country residence outside Moscow to discuss foreign investment in Russia, the Vedomosti business daily reported.

Pistorius has reportedly arrived at Kgosi Mampuru II prison. He was taken inside through another entrance.

busterr:Nothing is ever going to bring her back. We might not be satisfied with the sentence but at the end of the day that's what justice is all about. We could say perhaps , some closure finally |
Pistorius, who has left the court in a prison van, is expected to arrive at Kgosi Mampuru II prison, formerly Pretoria Central, fairly soon. As Pretoria Central, the jail was notorious for holding political prisoners and was the official site for capital punishment carried out in South Africa during the apartheid era. |
Pistorius family statement Oscar Pistorius’s uncle, Arnold Pistorius, is addressing reporters outside the court. Today a new season starts for us as a family … Not just the Pistorius family alone, but the Steenkamp family. It has been a harrowing 20 months. We are all emotionally drained and exhausted. The case that was set down for three weeks originally has been dragged out for seven months – in fact, for 20 months [since the bail hearing]. In the process, [the state] decided to inflict as much collateral damage as they could, by keeping the cloud of premeditated murder as long as possible … The truth became totally irrelevant to the state’s case to make premeditated murder stick. We accept the judgment. Ocar will embrace this opportunity to pay back to society. I appeal to all of you as the media to accept the ruling of the court. After 20 months of relentless public trial, I would ask you … to let us move forward … and give us some degree of dignity and privacy as we do so. I want to say something as an uncle. I hope Oscar will start his own healing process as we walk down the path of restoration. As a family we are ready to support and guide Oscar as he serves his sentence. Please understand that I don’t want to take any questions. Source: http://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2014/oct/21/oscar-pistorius-sentencing-prison-live |

A recap as Pistorius waits in the holding cell at the high court in Pretoria to be taken to begin his prison sentence: Judge Thokozile Masipa has given Pistorius a five-year prison sentence for the culpable homicide of Reeva Steenkamp. She also handed down a three-year sentence for negligently discharging a firearm in a crowded restaurant, wholly suspended and to be served concurrently. There are disputed claims about how long the athlete will serve in prison, with the defence team indicating it expects him to be considered for house arrest after 10 months, and the National Prosecuting Authority insisting he must serve a minimum of one-third in jail: 20 months. Pistorius is expected to be moved this afternoon to Kgosi Mampuru II prison, formerly Pretoria Central, where it is anticipated he will be housed in the hospital wing. The Pistorius family is due to give a press conference shortly source:http://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2014/oct/21/oscar-pistorius-sentencing-prison-live |
Lumpyy: u saw her corpse?Yes, it was a case of dead on arrival. |
yes, she died at LASUTH in ikeja early this morning. Sad enough, i saw her corpse, just like she was sleeping. Just last week, i saw her and her twin sister walking within the same hospital premises. They have been coming to the hospital for sometime and were always dressed in similar attires. |

The op is right about the Late Doctor Adadevoh's sister being isolated in LASUTH. i work there and she was brought in at the night and isolated in one of the surgical wards. Though it was done unannounced, however, news flies. |
