The Oil and Gas thread was causing undue controversy and as a result, it has been deleted few days ago by nairaland admins And that is why we have to be cautious of how we decimate information here and most importantly, how we interact with fellow nairaland It will be a waste if this thread should one day follow the same fate of being deleted, we hope that such thing would never befall this thread As we say, it is well and Victory is from God alone!!! Promiseworthy: Please do we have anybody here in that NCDMB (Oil and Gas recruitment) thread, please kindly share the link with me. |

I hope this analysis will come to pass. Though I equally do not expect this year to end without the list being released. I pray that may we all be successful with the entire application process. Amin MrSuama: All I wanted to know was if navy continued with their screening as scheduled which @ Koes confirmed and based on that I am hopeful the list would be out soon. The death of Gen. Irefin which led to about 26 military officers attending the COAS conference testing positive to Covid 19 most definitely affected the proposed screening. Though not sure, I believe the chairman of the selection board must have been attending the conference before its abrupt suspension.
The conference started on 7th December and was cancelled on 10th December 2020.
As at 13th December, the 417 officers who attended the conference were tested for Covid-19 and advised to self isolate. Other staff at the army hq were also tested with hq eventually being fumigated and Covid-19 guidelines strictly adhered to. Meaning activities are still going on at the army hq irrespective of the incidence.
As at 14th December 2020, 26 army personnel have been implicated in the Covid-19 pandemic.
Covid-19 self isolation period is between 10 -14 days. For the 391 officers who tested negative, they must observe the self isolation from probably 13th to 27th December 2020. For the 26 who tested positive, their recovery from Covid-19 is based on how well their immune system is fighting the virus and responding to treatment. So most of them would be discharged on a different day.
The questions that are begging for answers are: 1. Is the military secretary in charge of this recruitment amongst those self isolating or amongst those receiving treatment? 2. Is the selection board chairman amongst those self isolating or amongst those receiving treatment? 3. Is any or some members of the selection board amongst those self isolating or amongst those receiving treatment? 4. Is the military much concerned about this recruitment and putting everything in place to continue this recruitment in earnest? My answer is yes, reasons being that, with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic it seemed like there would be no recruitment but the army still deemed it fit to enlist amidst its tight schedule. Also considering the ongoing RRI enlistment, one would find out that age requirements was relaxed to 35 years as maximum as against the 27 or 28 used in the past. This clearly signifies the need for more manpower be it officer or rank and file.
Based on all of the above, I believe commencement of screening will most likely fall on any day between 4th to 9th January 2021. And if the military secretary and the chairman of the selection board are luckily not amongst the 26 officers presently receiving treatment, list should be out around 27th or 28th December 2020. My assumptions are based on my emotions and the army new style of short time notice as against the 2 weeks grace period given in the past.
Please lets remember the 26 officers in our prayers, it's my prayers, they recover fully.
Victory is from God Alone. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigerian Navy Direct Short Service Course Aspirants(dssc) 2015 by MeetSamir: 5:48pm On Dec 14, 2020 |
arma19: may be there will be no supplementary list this year, no one said they have gotten a text message yet. I think the text messages will only be sent out to reserved applicants if some of the people on the list failed to show up for the screening on the first day of both batches schedule. They may then call up other to come replace them for screening. In a case where all the selected applicants from a particular state showed up, I don't think such a state will have any reserved applicants being called up. |

Today makes it exactly one month since the test was written.
Well, tomorrow is Tuesday, maybe something might come up.
If the initial plans were followed, the screening ought to have gone far by now, but unfortunately, there is no news at all concerning the whole thing.
It is well inShaa Allah. |

TheWizPhoenix: It is possible to acknowledge that SFcomander has gone too far in the needless and persistent dropping of false info and also agree that some of your approach towards calling him out were somewhat extreme.
It is always important to know when to separate issues and above all the need for empathy when dealing with fellow humans because we are not infallible ourselves.
Digging up a few old posts without context or a proper understanding of the poster's psyche at the time does not prove anything but the fact that regardless of our present stand we are all capable of being uncouth and resorting to harsh/unkind words, but that still doesn't make us bad people.
Truth is that we all have our own personal reasons and motivation for embarking on this quest to join the NA and regardless of those reasons I don't think anyone is more deserving than the other, especially considering that whether one is deserving or not isn't even up to us either.
At the end of the day it is up to the universe/fate/God to crown our efforts, so why should we bother ourselves with non issues that are not part of our target. Sheath your swords brethren and "Live and let's live", but that wouldn't stop anyone that behaves anyhow from getting dragged(non extreme dragging) Mehn... If I were to be from your state, I would not waste any more time before enrolling in a special class for composition and writing skills enhancement. Your Village guys have a lot of work to do if they want to get at least half your mark in composition writing, except well, if they are as good as you have shown. Undoubtedly, the screening would likely involve writing a composition on why we want to join the army, I have no doubt that you would ace that aspect with relative ease. Let's give to Caesar, what belongs to Caesar, I must say, your writing is top notch! Keep it up. |

There was no aptitude test in 2019. This year is very first time candidates will be writing aptitude test.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by MeetSamir: 4:13pm On Dec 02, 2020 |
Here is this theory in my head,
DSSC/SSC aptitude test was written on the 30th of November, 2019, the screening list was released on the 19th of December, 2019 (i.e 19 days after) which is on a Thursday.
This year's aptitude test was written on the 14th of November, 2020, tomorrow 3rd of December will make it 19days since the test was written. And similar to last year, tomorrow is a Thursday.
Are you thinking what I am thinking?

QuadrilAyinde: Even for those wey write inside same center but different batch, dem questions no even Match at all... Nah so Dem program the thing...
May we All be Among the Successful Ones My friend and I wrote at the same Centre and a lot of our questions were different. He wrote before my batch and when he came out, he told me all the questions he could recalled and I searched it up hoping to see the same questions, but to my surprise, only about 3-4 questions similar to what he mentioned was what I came across, so I can confirm that the questions were somehow different with only a few repeated ones. |
