OBAGADAFFI:

It might go lower than 0.50k.

But my biggest fear is Delisting.

It will not be delisted. There are some very strong interest groups backing the bank and they are doing a lot of things behind the scenes right now.

The biggest risk at present is the panic withdrawal and the loss of customer confidence they will suffer for the rest of the year and for a long time to come!

Some ways they can dig the bank out of this hole is to channel some corporate funds (maybe even government funds) in their direction or do a re-branding (Change of name).

If Skye Bank ever gets to 50k, I will load as much as I can!!!
If there is any sign of recovery in the market on Friday, I will start loading some units.
This decision is purely speculative and not backed by any fundamentals or technicals. I don talk my own ooo.

It was GAME OVER the moment EBOLA (SKYE BANK) chose to marry HIV(AFRIBANK?)..... grin grin grin.
The present scenario is partially a PRODUCT of that union....

NEWBIES: If you want to learn JIJO SKILLS. I advice you do so on stocks that @ worse scenario, you will wait for DIVIDEND.
I will list some: GTB,ZENITH,AFRIPRUD,UBA,DANGCEM,NB, NASCON. DANGSUGAR... They also OSCILLATE WELL.
LESS THAN 10% of ALL the listed stocks ARE HEALTHY !!! We the OLD guys should not pretend, we know them ALL/WELL.
LET US STRIVE TO BE OF MAXIMUM ASSISTANCE AT ALL TIMES TO GUIDE THE NEWBIES NOT TO LOOSE HARD EARNED CASH.... angry.
IT WILL DEFEAT THE ESSENCE OF THIS FORUM.
Personally, I learnt a VERY VERY VERY BITTER lesson JIJOing SKYE,FCMB,IEI, LAWUNION,EQUITY ASSURANCE,UNION HOMES ETC ETC.
Why play with fire when you dont have access to a FIRE EXTINGUISHER... grin grin grin.

There was a very nice piece from Warren Buffet that someone posted here over the weekend that really hit the nail on the head. (I will look for it and quote it). A lot of us truly know the companies that are struggling but when you see that these same stocks eg FCMB, TIGER, OANDO etc have returned >100% to some investors within this year alone, while the other solid companies are struggling to return 10%, you will be tempted to re-think your rational positions and start looking towards these high risk stocks.

NSE is one place where you can really test the limits of your character. It can bring out the best and worst in a person!

Meanwhile, this Skye timing is one in town. They want people to digest the news during the public holidays. Lol

This is the Quote:

Cyriacusifeco:
“The line separating investment and speculation, which is never bright and clear, becomes blurred still further when most market participants have recently enjoyed triumphs. Nothing sedates rationality like large doses of effortless money. After a heady experience of that kind, normally sensible people drift into behavior akin to that of Cinderella at the ball. They know that overstaying the festivities that is, continuing to speculate in companies that have gigantic valuations relative to the cash they are likely to generate in the future will eventually bring on pumpkins and mice. But they nevertheless hate to miss a single minute of what is one helluva party. Therefore, the giddy participants all plan to leave just seconds before midnight. There’s a problem, though: They are dancing in a room in which the clocks have no hands.“ -Buffet's letter to shareholders 2000.

By continuing to speculate on companies with questionable characters and corporate governance, you are not only dancing in a room which the clock has no hands but also participating in the dance of spirits.

STAY off SKYEBANK if you don't have the large heart to absolve risks... That stock will bounce back just the way DANGOTE FLOUR did, it takes more than cheap talk to make money from the stock market!

I advice the newbies to stay off SKYE BANK until further notice... If you can't take RISKS, STAY OFF SKYE BANK, OANDO, DANGOTEFLOUR & TRANSCORP so you won't be bitten real hard!

After the reggae play the blues!

We will join you to bounce when we reach car park. Who's the smart guy now?

This becomes more scary to think that Skye Bank is Morgan capital 's banker angry

This actually got me thinking over the weekend! Skye has some big time customers. Something is very fishy here.

Disclosure: I am not a fan of Skye. Just an open minded investor.

Why is it that companies like Forte Oil, Total, Mobil and Oando are not the ones building refineries? These companies have been on the scene for ages. Are they incapable?

I have said before that I will not do Insurance companies on the NSE again, but Aiico selling far below NEM seems tempting.....
Yzed, B2bR, GiF, Mercy, what sayeth thou??

I planned to remain silent for a while and just do my trading silently but this your post has forced me out. Life is all about risk. How much can you lose @ 0.68? What is the upside? Study AIICO Q1 and make your choice. I have loaded @0.68 and I will average down if it goes below. Opportunity may not wait too long. Do your DD but thank me later if you eventually buy. Back to siddon look mode....

Any oga can help me with my questions...

Any due diligence link will be appreciated...

Thanks BNSITL

As I always say, no man knows tomorrow except God reveals it to him.
UCAP has never paid interim dividend so don't make any decision based on that. I am just wishing that they do. What I am sure of is that their H1 result will be fantastically sweet.

I cannot advise an entry or exit point as at today. That is up to you!

Riding the bull with Dangote? smart move. His stocks must be repriced in dollars one way or another. Don't forget he exports and has factories outside the country with premium access to $$$.

FBNH has serious problems With NPLS and it is difficult to see any respite in H1 because even when oil climbed to $50 the avengers came knocking.

Seplat is a no go area right now because they are flat on the ground. I wonder why anybody will still hold that stock till they release their result!

Skye is a stock I will love to buy ... if it crashes to 50kobo.

This is just my opinion nothing more.

Disclosure: I have none of the above in my portfolio right now but I may be loading any one or more of them soonest. No permanent friend or enemy in this business!

I tell you!

Classic stock pricing. That is exactly what Transcorp is replicating now. Somebody just tweaked the demand-supply equation and voila! If you give me 1 billion naira right now, I can turn it to 2 billion using this method in just one month!

So all these is about getting more people in to drive the price. What happened to our sincere analyses of stock picks. Don't let us get selfish here o. Some of us do believe people informed and no sentiment analysis here. Don't derail us.

***Meanwhile i dey hold on to my UCAP too grin

One fact about this market is that bulls feed on sentiments. A company can declare great results and the price will refuse to move simply because of sentiments! That is what branding is all about. That's how Tigerbrands gained 600%. Sentiment amplified their little effort.

It's not about the Q2 and the interim dividend alone, the excitement is about the company's business model, positioning and growth potential of the company. The investment banking business alone is a big cash flow for the company. With the connection of uncle Tony, this company will never run out of capital raising exercise for companies, debt and equity structuring servise opportunities. Their asset management business is another cash flow business considering how much the company will be pulling in fees. Security trading and trustees hip are still there.

So, let's hope the company will meet expectations.

Preach on sir! Let all the unbelievers believe and be converted now before the judgement day!

Bros, the market maker for FCMB is doing a great job!

They should keep it up! cheesy

Sometimes, heavily invested individuals like any one of us make this happen because of their interest in the stock. This is what I call "bull fighting". It is a better way to protect your investment than just looking and hoping that the price will rise.

Imagine you have 100million in a stock. By investing like 10million to push the price up 5%, you gain 5% on the 100 million! Do this for 3 days and you can be sure of 10% secured value.

This is how the men in black roll... cool cool cool
