OBAGADAFFI: It will not be delisted. There are some very strong interest groups backing the bank and they are doing a lot of things behind the scenes right now. The biggest risk at present is the panic withdrawal and the loss of customer confidence they will suffer for the rest of the year and for a long time to come! Some ways they can dig the bank out of this hole is to channel some corporate funds (maybe even government funds) in their direction or do a re-branding (Change of name). 1 Like 1 Share |

If Skye Bank ever gets to 50k, I will load as much as I can!!! If there is any sign of recovery in the market on Friday, I will start loading some units. This decision is purely speculative and not backed by any fundamentals or technicals. I don talk my own ooo. 2 Likes |

DeRuggedProf: There was a very nice piece from Warren Buffet that someone posted here over the weekend that really hit the nail on the head. (I will look for it and quote it). A lot of us truly know the companies that are struggling but when you see that these same stocks eg FCMB, TIGER, OANDO etc have returned >100% to some investors within this year alone, while the other solid companies are struggling to return 10%, you will be tempted to re-think your rational positions and start looking towards these high risk stocks. NSE is one place where you can really test the limits of your character. It can bring out the best and worst in a person! Meanwhile, this Skye timing is one in town. They want people to digest the news during the public holidays. Lol This is the Quote: Cyriacusifeco: 6 Likes |

Happy July BNSITL. Why is it that companies like Forte Oil, Total, Mobil and Oando are not the ones building refineries? These companies have been on the scene for ages. Are they incapable? 2 Likes |

9free: I planned to remain silent for a while and just do my trading silently but this your post has forced me out. Life is all about risk. How much can you lose @ 0.68? What is the upside? Study AIICO Q1 and make your choice. I have loaded @0.68 and I will average down if it goes below. Opportunity may not wait too long. Do your DD but thank me later if you eventually buy. ukay2: As I always say, no man knows tomorrow except God reveals it to him. UCAP has never paid interim dividend so don't make any decision based on that. I am just wishing that they do. What I am sure of is that their H1 result will be fantastically sweet. I cannot advise an entry or exit point as at today. That is up to you! |

Riding the bull with Dangote? smart move. His stocks must be repriced in dollars one way or another. Don't forget he exports and has factories outside the country with premium access to $$$. FBNH has serious problems With NPLS and it is difficult to see any respite in H1 because even when oil climbed to $50 the avengers came knocking. Seplat is a no go area right now because they are flat on the ground. I wonder why anybody will still hold that stock till they release their result! Skye is a stock I will love to buy ... if it crashes to 50kobo. This is just my opinion nothing more. Disclosure: I have none of the above in my portfolio right now but I may be loading any one or more of them soonest. No permanent friend or enemy in this business! |

Hayyee2002: One fact about this market is that bulls feed on sentiments. A company can declare great results and the price will refuse to move simply because of sentiments! That is what branding is all about. That's how Tigerbrands gained 600%. Sentiment amplified their little effort. |

feelamong: Sometimes, heavily invested individuals like any one of us make this happen because of their interest in the stock. This is what I call "bull fighting". It is a better way to protect your investment than just looking and hoping that the price will rise. Imagine you have 100million in a stock. By investing like 10million to push the price up 5%, you gain 5% on the 100 million! Do this for 3 days and you can be sure of 10% secured value. This is how the men in black roll... 9 Likes |
