Kellibae:thanks for saving whatever you wanted to bet O... Lol |
it's a sad one though. Yes it happens but one shouldn't wish or think of it happening to him because my dear odi kwa (it's so) difficult to handle ooo |
PrecisionFx:Get my point dear. I don't care whether or not his action about the cause. My care is do it judiciously if there is any and don't insult or abuse others simple. In life, people will support you or reject you once you start a thing. Abusing those that don't want you don't give you any extra credit, it even places you on the wrong part that's my point. |
PrecisionFx:he should leave the course and see what happens to him. I bet you he won't stay a day in Nigeria due to threats from his own |
Kellibae:Lol don't bet O so you won't lose it o. because you will definitely loose. Lol |
RisingSun1:As of now no doubt. That's why he should concentrate and fight for the so called course. simple na. Lol |
Kellibae:I don't have to be a Yoruba person to make a fact and say the truth. denying, I'm not at all. Lol |
RisingSun1:Pardon me sir but i think you just hyperbolized here. No one will die for Kanu. If anyone will die or dare to die is for the course not for the man. The reason why you are saying this is for the course not for Kanu. I bet you if Kanu decides to let go now, even you will turn against him. Let's be sincere. I am not concern with Kanu's agitation. Anyone can agitate. All I'm saying is that he should do his work and stop abusing others. Is that too difficult to do? Nnamdi Kanu should do what he is doing without insulting or abusing some else. |
Kellibae:Lol I'm not O! Lol |
Nwodosis:Correct me if i'm wrong. When a man with a critical ambition says something so sensitive, it's read and judged out of his ambition and intention. Others said it as political statement while he... Take a look at Trump now, statements that weren't seen as relevant at the times he said them are now seem very relevant. My dice is, Nnamdi should avoid those kind of statements. |
kocvalour:The president is in Dondon abi London or wherever. We all knew this will happen. Let's not play dumb. we knew. We saw it coming. During his rallies, we saw it yet we voted him... don't denial it, we all did, directly or indirectly we did. We voted for what we are receiving now. When we start voting for good policies and credibility, when we start analyzing critically our actions before we take it, we will not find ourselves in a mess as this... For the time being, let's enjoy the cake we baked until we decide to re-bake in 2019... |
I heard and read the comment accrued to Nnamdi Kanu on the former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan alluring him to be weak. It is regrettable that a learned man fighting a course in the name of no violence cannot differentiate between weakness from smartness. I need to point out this not with any grudge that when "a man starts insulting the builder of the platform he is standing upon, his failure is inevitable". Not that GEJ was a perfect man or that he didn't fail in some areas as human he is, not that i'm here to defend GEJ in all his dealings, but it is absurd for a so-called freedom fighter to insult one who gave him the platform to even do what he is doing now and have not been charged for treason. If Jonathan has not passed the freedom of information act, not just in paper but in action, if Jonathan has not allowed the act to function as it is now, I do not think Nnamdi Kanu will have the platform he is using now and not be severely charged. His predecessors tried it and got their heads off their necks just because there was no institute of the platform of the freedom we Nigerians are enjoying now. We can post whatever in the name of the act and get free. Let's not also forget that if GEJ had done what is in the mind of these so-called freedom fighters, by now the country would have been on fire with only the poor been affected majorly. Do we think that these "big guys" will carry guns to fight? How many of them are with guns doing the things we see on the street? We sell ourselves to their blood stricken monies and carryout their intents. "they use our heads and strength to their benefits and we in turn garate and celebrate them, celebrating our killers". If GEJ has not walked away, will Nnamdi Kanu enjoy this popularity he is enjoying now in the country that maybe at war or catastrophe? I do not agree that GEJ was or is weak. He did the right thing by walking away. He kept this country from boiling and with God's grace still keeps us alive as we are now, who knows. Or do we think it was just about Nigerian influence? There are things we do not see. Until you get to such positions, you will understand it better. In some cases you fight and in other, you let go if letting go will help maintaining peace and avert war. That is what I saw GEJ did and for that I will always be grateful to Him and The God who made him do so. If you think war actions are better, please ask your parents who experienced the civil war in this nation, maybe they need to refresh your mind... Dear Nnamdi Kanu, do what you are doing and stop making statements that will end up hurting you and your fight if there is any. Thanks |
Justuceleague2:CCTVs on streets is no problem and reduces crimes no doubt. My take is this, displaying the monitor that shows all the angles of the cameras in places like banks and other sensitive organizations. It's even more of a security risk to do so. petty thieves don't come to bank, if you get what i mean. |
ashkenking: Yes it's placed in strategic places yet it can still be beaten. There are areas it doesn't cover in most cases and also depending on the number of the camera and the exposure of light to that area. |
Billyonaire:Take this scenario. In one of Big Brother Africa episodes (can't remember the particular one now), one of the housemates had to tell her follows of a position where there's no hidden camera. A spot where they could get down low without been caught by the cameras. Why? simple. Because they saw the cameras and know that cameras are on them and also the positions of these cameras. If a petty thief comes into the flank and notice the monitor and cameras, i tell you, he/she will still get down there calculating the positions of the cameras and fingerup the products. I think if the cameras are hidden and monitors too. it's simple, he/she does it and get caught, tries it again and same thing, my bros, dem no go come again, 4 9ja, dem go say una dey use juju So why not jujuing it there for them to letting people beat the cameras. my thought though. |
olu77:In the U.S. and U.K, there are cameras everywhere and the people are aware of it yes sir. But where do they carryout most intelligent crimes that even get so bloody and dangerous mostly? I guess your answer is as good as mine. The fact is if these cameras as well as the monitors are hidden with people to always monitor it regularly, the crimes will reduce because even the "crimestars" themselves will keep wondering how they are been cut from afar. When these monitors are exposed, one can calculate the number of cameras in the building and their positions and I tell you, they can get in and get out without notice, also without been cut. Keeping it hidden to me is the best. |
It is alarming to how CCTV monitors are handled in some organizations especially banks and supermarkets. Things that should be hidden are displaced for public view. I entered in on of Keystone banks in Port Harcourt (won't mention the location for security concern) and they have their CCTV monitor displayed for public view. I had to let them know the implications but to my greatest surprise, nothing has been done to it. Supermarkets are the worst. Sometimes you see the monitor almost at the entrance opposite you or a big signboard informing you that they have CCTV. What for?! CCTV was majorly manufactured for security purposes not for public views, neither is it a home video. It is even dangerous to let people know there's such gadgets in your organizations. It is suppose to be hidden and not displayed as most organizations do. The monitor or monitors are to be hidden away from the public. Infact, it should be in a room with one or two persons assigned to continuously monitor it so that no one can enter the organization without the knowledge of the security persons. It aids in making the security work easier and better. If displayed for the public, the organization and staff are been expose and placed at risk. Let's change our attitude towards it please, to avoid what shouldn't have happened to happen. |
sleeknick:One reason why we are still the way we are. SAD |
I don't even know his name or do I care where he comes from. A video appeared online some days ago of a police man who risk his life to avert what would have been a bloody robbery attack in a bank who knows. He had the choice to run away like the security man did but he didn't. He placed his life protecting those inside, killing one of the robbers and later was gunned down as I later heard. You sir, paid the price to protect lives and died doing so. While your other colleagues are causing some societal disturbance, you fought with your life in protecting others. Your fight averted the evil that would have happened that day. Though you lost your life, I [place you among the heroes of this nation and the world. Although it is regrettable that even the bank, police and government are yet to react to your heroic death, though they are playing the silent game, posterity will not let those you left to suffer. I place you on a high level. Yes! I do not know you from Adam, but I am touched by your act of service. I think it's high time structures are put in place to take care of all these fallen heroes who died in service saving lives... Goodbye my friend, Good bye great hero, Goodbye, you have the true Nigerian spirit! |
MissCuppy:you don get free advert, you dey happy. Lol Don't be deceived O. it is not all about that o. love makes one to be the other way when with the so-called right person. Intro becomes extrovert and extro becomes shy baby in love. quote me. *winks* |
Florblu:you funny joor |
fm4real2k6:Exactly dear. And I really don't blame the canal mind because it's not meant to understand the things of the spirit. |
MaziOmenuko:I advice you not to play with the things of God and spiritual matters too. It is dangerous to do so. In as much you have the freedom to express yourself, chose what you say to spiritual things. |
brodalikeme:Lol. u don finish work o |
TRADELYN:It's funny that good Nigerians are corrupt for speaking out. Should we all now keep quite and watch our politicians destroy this country for us? I wonder o! |
Joe Igbokwu, Publicity Secretary, APC, Lagos live on stv programme Head to Head accuses tuface of benefitting from corruption for receiving wedding gifts of 2 cars from former governor of Akwa State, now a senator of the republic of Nigeria and receiving 20m for performing on the stage for 2 hours for the former president Goodluck Jonathan. This he said while responding to the question how he felt about about the protest tuface was pioneering. A protest the acting President did not condemn but the police has taken over the venues of the prospective protesters. While I understand Igbokwe should defend his party, it is not a wise talk to accuse an entertainer who plies his business in entertainment of being corrupt for getting benefits of his reward for his talents. Should igbokwe descend so low in throwing accusations for a true Nigerian who sees a pain in his nation and decides to show concern? He tuface underscoring the evil intents of some Nigerians maybe a political party to hijack the process to cause harm to the nation cancelled the said protest, what wrong did he do in that? Accusing tuface of benefitting from corruption igbokwe implies tuface is corrupt. The questions I now ask are IS IT NOW WRONG TO SPEAK FOR THE VOICES THAT CAN'T BE HEARD? ARE WE NOW CORRUPT FOR RECEIVING THE REWARDS OF OUR GOD GIVEN TALENTS? This not an attack on tuface alone but entertainment generally and Igbokwe should apologize not just to tuface but all Nigerian entertainers who do their works diligently and fighting for the good of the common man. |
With the new year here with those who made it, there are a lot of high hopes and expectations individually and otherwise. And of course one of such expectational grounds is in the political environment with lots of hopes tied. One of such political rooms with eyes' attraction is the house assembly who has the budget as it's first new assignment. Although this sounds nice, the way last year's unsigned budget went raises questions to the capability of the house in handling issues. While everyone might see a new budget, I see an addition to the old budget, or should I say a new swallowing the old with no one brought to book. No question raised to why the budget was not signed, no project carried. Of course, if any was done, no explanation was given to how the money came about or how much is actually in the general account. With some vacancies to be filled in the tops of ministries, one will wonder how it will be done knowing that some of our flag bearers outside the country don't know our national anthem and pledge yet were approved. To me, I say this government do have explanations to do but as it goes in the realm, a statement written or spoken does the work. After all, what do we know, it's just a political game, the party that has the ball scores the goal whether or not to the detriment of the masses, it's only a political game. Happy New Year! |
Ask4Info:I'm not exchanging words with you my dear. Only telling you to stop talking about pastors as people do these days. And for my thread, life is about research and proving your point. if you think my research is wrong, write your paper and prove your points. Isn't it why we all did research in school? wait till I publish it and it passes, I will gladly take your congratulation message. Thanks in advance. |
God2man:Lol... browse it my friend. It's all online. in fact ask Google simple. You can even grab one for yourself too. |
Ask4Info:what are you saying? why won't you leave pastors alone and allow God to determine if they are on the right track or not. In as much I no not all pastors are genuine, do you think all pastors poor before they started preaching? Do you think all pastors are paid by the church or anything from the church goes to their account? I'm not a kicc member but it's high time we stop all these pastors this and pastors that. Matthew is not just a pastor, he has a company of his own. He has books that are best time sellers in millions of copies. Do you remember the book "what's wrong being black?" do you know that book sold immensely. please, let's comment on the issue not on personalities especially when it has to do with pastors. How many times have we called imams and native doctors. Why are we scared but to call pastors we will open our mouth wide *no hurt intended* Please, leave pastors out of this and comment on the us that think dubbing the Church is the right thing to do. |
Roman writers attributed the original Roman calendar in the 700s B.C.E. to Romulus, the founder and legendary first ruler of Rome. According to these writers, the original Roman calendar is believed to have been a lunar calendar, which may have been based on one of the Greek lunar calendars. The calendar consisted of 10 months in a year of 304 days. The Romans seem to have ignored the remaining 61 days, which fell in the middle of winter. During the reign of Romulus, they had let their months run on without any certain or equal term; some of them contained twenty days, others thirty-five, others more; with the winter days after the end of December and before the beginning of the following March not being assigned to any month. The origins of the names are also not entirely clear or agreed upon by modern scholars. Some ancient explanations are: Martius in honour of Mars, the god of war; Aprilis from aperiō, to open: Earth opens to receive seed; Maius from Maia, goddess of growth (maior, elder); Iunius from iunior (younger). The remaining six months were named with respect to their position on the calendar: the numbers five to ten in Latin being quinque (meaning 5), sex (meaning 6), septem (meaning 7), octo (meaning , novem (meaning 9) and decem (meaning10), the months were named Quintilis, Sextilis, September, October, November, and December. In its dating therefore Quintilis was the fifth month of year which corresponds with June, Sextilis, sixth Month of the year which corresponds with July of today and December 10th and Last Month of the year which corresponds with today’s October. In Romulus calendar, the year starts by Martius (March, the third Month of today’s calendar) and end in December, 10 Months in total, the winter period not giving any reading. AN EXTRACT FROM MY RESEARCH, YET TO BE PUBLISHED This was before it was changed to what we know now. I didn't just say it, is a research. |
While the day 25th might not be the exact day of Christ birth, it is not illusive to know that the month of December is actually Jesus month of birth. From the Bible especially the book of look as always quoted by many for and against the essence of Christmas and the birth of Christ, two important events took place. first, the call of census done every fourteen years in the Roman reign and secondly, the Shepherds time of rearing their sheep even at night which signifies the winter season. The winter season as of the Roman time comes up between the eighth to tenth month in the year which are October, as eight month, November as ninth month and December as tenth. This call of census was made at the tenth month significantly brought the birth of Christ. December as twelveth month how? During the times of Christ and after, the calendar had only ten months without the months of June and July, December being the tenth and last month. Later but still in the reign of the Romans, June and July were introduced moving December to become the twelveth month and October the tenth month as we see today to which as claimed by some persons, the birth of Christ. Ever wonder how a word meaning ten in Greek became the twelveth month? and Octo 8 becoming 10? Now you have it. To the issue of whether or not to celebrate Christmas is a choice. Is a choice to celebrate your own birthday less to talk of others. Let's get over it and put it to rest. Thank you, I am Josiah and I just want to make Christmas sense. |
