I always try as much as possible not to comment on religious issues on Nairaland because I dnt really know nor read my BIble better.

Nevertheless, I do perceive the fact that most of our pastors in Nigeria were forced into the ministry as a result of unemployment. I know for sure as an anglican, some Rev. Decided to go to the seminary because of unemployment and not that God actually called them.

I personally decided to make my research on Nigeria. I found out that prosperous countries, especially those countries that are populated by christians, are not that religiously-conscious compared to developing or underdeveloped countries. For instance, it is not certain to see muslims to start a Jihad in saudi arabia, whereas, it is very much likely that sudan, somalia, iraq, iran and some other poor countries would stick their neck out to fight for jihad.

Why is it that our best brains are being lured to become a priest or pastor in Nigeria and the opposite is the situation in advanced countries?
