This should be normal and expected. Nothing out of place here, Igbo's are foreigners everywhere around the globe and they pay taxes and still survive. Even as Nigerian both in Igbo land and outside, they still pay taxes today.

They pay taxes where they earn . Assuming an igbo person is working in MTN or UBA bank in lagos. The person happens to own a house they are paying for mortgage .
