ProgrammingRe: Can A Reliable Fintech App Be Developed To Foster Instant Money Transfers. by Melanin07(m): 11:55am On Feb 11, 2023
Obasempiree:
With the current cashless policies being implemented in Nigeria and unreliable banking systems to meet the huge demand in transfers and other virtual services. Can't a reliable fintech company or app be developed to counter unreliable bank transfers that can take hours or even days before transfers ?
After reading some comments and doing some research, due to some old legacy banking structures and money transfer systems and API, this won't be easy to achieve ...let's not even talk about the amount of Angel investing it seed rounds you have to raise to bring this fintech idea to market.

But I also noticed a big problem for developers. Coding is hard and sometimes it can be very fustrating when your codes start throwing errors and you can detect what's wrong.

Also a lot of developers have questions regarding the codes they are working with or ask mature software engineers questions regarding a piece of code or software development methodology but can hardly get access to them.

That's why am building a coding an AI CODING ASSISTANT CHROME EXTENSION

How you can use it.

1. For experienced developers

You can ask it to write a code for you to speed up your work and it will produce 100% original code.

You can paste codes and ask it to explain the codes you just pasted or produce documentation for it.

You can paste a code and ask it to detect errors in your code.

You can ask it to produce technical writing on any concept in computer science and it will do just that in second.
2. For beginners to CODING and software development

You can ask it to teach you for instance coding in Python and it will start outputting an interactive lecture between you and it in Python programming or any language you ant to learn.

You can ask it to explain any hard concept or code you come across and it will start explaining it for you.

I want to make it more available to everyone so it will cost just $10/mo to use the chrome extension... Everything the AI will do is 💯 Original work.

I hope this becomes a welcome development in Nigeria Sha...my people sometimes hardly appreciate something of their own lol....

Would love to hear your reviews on this software am building
InvestmentWhere Can One Buy Gift Cards In Nigeria And Which Cards Work On SKRILL? by Melanin07(op): 4:15pm On Jan 24, 2023
Hi, would appreciate if anyone can share online legit platforms or apps with good reviews where person can buy gift cards using your Nigeria debit cards or bank transfer.

Especially where one can buy Binance gift cards.

Also, since would appreciate if you can share tips on some ATM cards, or prepaid cards or virtual cards you have tested and tried that one can use to fund their Skrill account.

Buying crypto from Nigeria on Skrill would be a great side hustle if one can get a card that works in Nigeria, USDT and euro rate on Skrill is 432/$ ....how sweet 😄.

Would appreciate if you can share tips on cards you use on Skrill and platform to buy gift cards from Nigeria using cards especially Binance gift cards.

Thanks 👍
TravelRe: Need Your Advice On My USA Visa by Melanin07(op): 9:56am On Jan 08, 2023
pansophist:
Sorry for being the carrier of bad news, but the consular will deny you the visa if you apply. Your application is too weak that you'll just waste money to get a denial.

So basically, you're broke. Have no job, ties back home or any weighty reason that will convince the consular officer that you're coming back.

You can't even afford to sponsor your trip, but depends on an 80 years old woman who is past her retirement age to sponsor your flights, accommodation and feeding. Chai grin

If anything, an invitation letter is more suspicious than going for tourism because it shows you have more ties in the US than in Nigeria, which can motivate you to overstay since there are people in the US that will make your life easy.

Don't apply. Don't waste time and money to get a rejection. And any person with a working brain will wonder what kind of friendship exist between a young boy and a woman in her 80's. Predator wan go visit her prey lol
Thank you for expressing your own personal opinion but am not broke , I will go with better advise here

I will stay over and enjoy my sweet work as a remote cyber security instructor here until I finish processing my New Zealand studies paperwork.

When I get a holiday in new Zealand , I will apply for an EB-2(c) visa and visit my friends in the US and go for another religious conference.

Like someone said here, it will be easier to get any USA visa from my University in New Zealand.
TravelRe: Need Your Advice On My USA Visa by Melanin07(op): 8:40pm On Jan 07, 2023
You will live long.

So what you are trying to say is I should just apply for a tourist visa with a religious gathering as my main aim of visiting.

Book a hotel before going for the interview.
But I should not bring up the case of receiving an invitation letter?

Or if I should mention that, where does it come in?

Also do the VO officers ask for documents during interviews pertaining US embassies?

And what documents should I bring along for the visa interview.

Can't I still bring my school documents alongside. The school I will be attending in New Zealand?

JoyousFurnitire:
Solid points OP.

Why did you recommend going back to C and C++ after a year?
Those languages will help you to understand memory management, how to access and manipulate the system hardware when the hardware isn't doing as you want.

Let's say you don't like the interpreter and wants to change or edit some things, thide languages will help.

Also they will help you understand other languages in terms of Object oriented programming and you will need when you start to read the computer science books you download from NOUN or Stanford on expert systems, AI and Game dev.
TravelRe: Need Your Advice On My USA Visa by Melanin07(op): 8:09pm On Jan 07, 2023
Am already working remotely as a Cyber security instructor for a bootcamp in the US and my pay is $55,000/yr.

Am not going to the US to look for a job!

Is that not already a good job in term of financial assets?

Also, am currently applying for a school in New Zealand and gain admission before applying for the US visa.

Which I plan to go for the interview with my school admission letter, payment for one year of school fees, payment for school accomodations and as well as my last 3 payment for my job as a remote cyber security analyst.

Isn't this enough to prove my returning back to Nigeria?
ProgrammingHow To Be A Software Engineer In 2023. by Melanin07(op): 12:38pm On Jan 07, 2023
For those who wants to get into software engineering in 2023, I think this is what you've been looking for.

This is purely my opinions with opinions of others from my research.

1. The reason most people see programming and coding as been hard is not because they are hard, it because you need to learn something called COMPUTATIONAL THINKING.

This is the ability to transform problems into code. There's nothing wrong with you seeing Java or C programming as hard, the thing is you need to develop your brain more on computational thinking.

2. The hard truth is in software development, no one cares if you graduated from MIT or national open university of Nigeria or from CodingDojo bootcamp or you are a software engineer from being self taught...your pay is basically going to bethe same. But having a CS degree gives you more prestige. But be warned, this is a Zero sum game ( status game).

Infact currently, Standford university open source their whole courses and books for their BSC degree, NOUN has all their BSC degree course and textbooks online for everyone including University of the people.
If you want to know what they teach in universities in BSC computer science, everything is now online for you.

3. I asked Paul Graham, Founder of Y combinator (for those who knows YC) if it's necessary to have a CS degree as a software engineer. His answer was " No, you don't but be very good in programming".

4. When learning how to code, learn to build projects not just learning how to code. Learn how to use Git & GitHub. Go there, read people's code, build projects they built but twist it. If someone built a weather app, build a cryptocurrency price analytics using API ( in this way, you will learn how to work with APIs...that's the goal...not learning how to build a weather app)

5. Learn one language deeply and be very good in it. Don't be a jack of all trades. Be known for something. For your first language, I will advise you 100% for Python and 80% for JavaScript.

Don't choose any other languages.
After 1 year of working as a developer, go back and learn C and C++.

6. Research the job market before choosing what to learn. We have over 20 million software developers and only like 0.1% have seen a code in crypto or Blockchain. And we have less than 6,000 Blockchain developers.

Scarcity increases value. This less than 6000 Blockchain are mostly hired by two companies. There's so much shortage of Blockchain developers in the world... Blockchain developers even with less than 6mnth experience are paid higher than software engineers with 10 years experience.

If you want to be a Blockchain developer, go and learn Python, JavaScript and solidity.

This is the pathway.

7. Don't learn to code so you can seek Employment at Google. Look for startups. They pay higher than FANGS. And they are easier to get jobs in.

They don't care about degrees. They only care if you can do the job.
Infact it very easy to get a $300K/yr with a startup than at big companies like Amazon, Facebook.

8. Buy an apple MacBook. Don't ask me why.

9. Learn to network on developers communities and on Twitter spaces.

10. Learn to Leetcode early. You may never use those data structures and algorithms but you will always work where you need to optimize code

11. Learn to read programming ebooks. It was from books I learnt Object oriented programming. Books are far better than videos.

12. Learn to code for the money.

Yes you heard me, money should be what is motivating you when you learn to code. Cos sometimes you might feel like giving up.

Remember that when you learn to code and get a big salary, it can change your family situation, your situation.

That money factor will keep motivating you when you feel like giving up.

I will give more tips later...let me go and sleep
13. Sleep well.

Learn to sleep. It when you are refreshed your brain can work well and learn well

That reminds me for those looking to immigrate to Europe. The fastest way is by applying to vocational schools, short study course or degree programs that last 1year plus.

Why are they the best.
1. You pay for your full studies immediately before leaving the country. The whole 1 year program usually cost $200 -$1000 only which includes accomodations and feeding.

2. The proof of funds for such programs are usually $1500 - $2500.

3. They don't require English test, high school transcripts etc. To apply to most of them takes less than 10mins.
And also their VISA are mostly Schengen!

For me this is the fastest and surest way to immigrate now instead of the hard way of USA, Canada and UK .

A friend of mine who is an American wants me to come over and pay her a visit in August while I will be coming to attend a religious program there in her vicinity.

She's purely a US citizen. We met over 5 years ago when she came visiting in Portharcourt.
I read somewhere that your invitation letter carries more weight if it from a US citizen.

She will send me an invitation letter. My purpose of visiting her is to attend a religious 3 days convention program. She's a senior citizen over 80 years old now.

Am currently seeking admission into a school in Europe and hope to get my admission letter before applying to visit her.

She is the one who will sponsor my trip including flight and accomodations as I will be staying with her in her family house. I will be staying over for only 17 days .

With this my background, do I stand a chance of getting the US Visa?

When should is start applying for the US visa ?

All admitted students will get free laptop for their studies. Admission Preferences is given to students from Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, South Africa and Madagascar.

All Nigerian students will get free medical insurance throughout the duration of their program.

The admission process is quite different from other coding bootcamps. Check it out here https://www.relafinance.com/admission
