No, he will only be charged 20% of his earned interests if he decides to withdraw before 30 days. after 30 days, no issues. the only downside is that he may be limited to withdrawing 5 million per day (not so sure)
Wow, this is very bad

5M per day 🤦🏾‍♀️

That means if he invests this 250M for 6 months, it will take close to 60 days to withdraw his capital and interests

This is too poor

The best way to ensure transparency and safety, given the amount of funds involved is that after he has signed up for his account and received his Reference number, he should ho directly to his GTBank branch with the reference number and initiate a funds transfer directly from his branch to the Account that Stanbic will provide for him. this way is rest assured
Thank you
But when the funds are already invested

Let’s say my uncle wants to invest for 6 months After 6 months, Liquidating his funds and withdrawing his capital and interests won’t be an issue right ? There won’t be any stories or problems

No, he does not need to open a StanbicIBTC Account. All he needs to do is sign up using the stanbicIBTC website, he should have his BVN and means of identification handy. after he has submitted his details on stanbic website, they will reach out to him in about 2 business days with his reference number and then he will put the reference number in the transfer narration when he is transferring his money from his GTBank to the Stanbic IBTC mutual funds account so that the Stanbic team can track that the money is attached to the account bearing the reference number.
You can sign him up using my referral link

contact me if you need further assistance.
thank you, I will surely use your link

Please hope this investment is safe and this old man won’t lose his money
Hope transferring such amount of money to Stanbic IBTC mutual fund account is safe

Please sorry for all the questions, I promised to help him gather all required info. And the man is so skeptical. He doesn’t want to lose his money, he will rather just buy a house as he feels the property will appreciate over the years

How did he acquire such wealth 🤯
he lived abroad (USA) for 25 years and worked for the government

He recently just retired and returned home with his life savings, retirement benefits etc Now that he is old, he wants to live and grow old in Nigeria. He wanted to buy a house here in Nigeria with the money, but I advised him to do an investment first to earn something from this amount of capital.

Please if there is any investment better than Stanbic money market, please advise me

yes, current rate is above 20 percent.
Thank you very much

That means he has to open an account with Stanbic ? Because the funds are currently domiciled in GTBank

Can he move the funds to the Stanbic money market account at once

Please advise. Because this man is an elderly man in his late 60s and is not so tech savvy

It is normal. All mutual funds select another bank to act as the funds custodian to minimize misuse of investor funds. For example, I use StanbicIBTC, But I make my deposits to a UBA account
Hi sir, I have a big uncle who just returned from abroad with about 250M

Do you know if he can get above 20% for that amount if he invests it in Stanbic Money Market

Don't use a lie to cover a lie by getting a fake divorce decree cause you'll only rope yourself in further and they don't take it likely cause the document will be verified thoroughly(which unfortunately Nigeria have a bad record of document forgery) and if found to be fake you may get ban for years or life. They know most people lie about this to get approval for b1/b2, so they expect you to come clean. In this case I'll advise you file for the visa process while you're in Nigeria if you will do the fiance visa, that will show you're not trying to bypass the visa process, you'll have to get your family member at least 2 to attest that you've never been married and the you're very single, you will also go to the high court to do certificate of spinsterhood to further back your claim of never being married, all this document will be submitted when you go for interview and own up on your mistake about misinterpretation of your previous ds160 and back it up with prayer that the visa officer is lenient.
Thank you ma’am
Someone said I should say I did traditional marriage only not court marriage

And I should say my bride price have been returned back to the man

Since I didn’t do court marriage, a legal divorce is not needed

They told me to explain all this in a cover letter and also attach a certificate of spinsterhood to back up the claim that I am now single

If USCIS tries to verify if I’m legally married, no record will be found because I am not legally married

Since you didn't do a proper marriage at the federal registry, your case is a bit easier.

You can obtain a certificate of Spinsterhood at the federal high court , thereafter you notarize it at the ministry of foreign affairs.

If the embassy wants to verify your marriage status, they will verify from the federal marriage registry and the ministry of foreign affairs and the only record they would find is that your a single.

You can let them know during the interview that you had a customary marriage initially but it didn't work out, you are currently single.
thank you sir
Please what are the costs to get this documents and to notarize it

This is also the first time I’m hearing certificate of spinsterhood, never knew we had it in Nigeria

Bless you sir
Please give me more info

Hey guys, please I need advise on an existing issue disturbing me

The story:

After 2 previous US visa denials, the agent that helped me arrange my 3rd visa application indicated that I am married on my DS-160 form.

NB: I’m not married at all, I’m a single lady

He said that’s the best way to get the visa as the consular officer will see me as a “family woman” who won’t abscond but will return to her husband and kids

The agent filled in made up names of my so called husband

I went for the interview at Us embassy VI and I got my tourist visa (I was going for a conference)

I traveled and spent 3 months in New York and came back. I met a loving and caring dude there and he said he loves me and wants to marry me and file green card for me.

I’m currently in Nigeria, but my US bae has been asking me to come back over to the states so we can proceed with our marriage plans etc

I have a feeling that the “married” the agent filled in my DS-160 will affect any future plans of my future US based husband to file for me.

Please what can I do

Hey guys. Can I get married in the USA if I’m currently married in Nigeria?

My wife and I are separated though, due to some cheating, which I can’t talk about here

I’m currently in the states on a b2 tourist visa and I’ve found another woman who I’m deeply in love with. I proposed and she said yes.
I’m in a similar situation, my own case is even worse.

Sure, you can apply for canada visa inside usa on a b1/b2 visa and add a letter stating that you want to visit a friend in Canada before your return to Nigeria. Also, include a copy of your USA visa as long as you have not overstayed in the USA. It should be fast processing, but still, nobody can guarantee how fast or slow it will be. Most importantly, you can submit your passport anywhere in the world when it is requested after the visa is approved.
Thank you for this information
Please, which documents do I need to submit?

Yes as long as you have enough funds to cover the required maintenance. These funds should also not have been in the account for less than 28 days. No unexplained bulk payments during this period as it will be a RED FLAG.
Thank you! But this 28 days rule, I thought it’s for student visa proof of funds ?

Hey guys, I have a question about the account I want to submit for my visa application

The only credits in this account in the last six months are my salary paid every month

There is also a credit of 10,000 from my husband, that’s all. We bear the same surname

But there are a lot of debits for my day to day living expenses. ATM withdrawals, fuel purchases at filing stations, restaurants, airtime, data, etc

Is this kind of account clean enough for UK visa application?

Guys. Please I need advise

I went to UK on a 3 weeks vacation
At the port of entry, I got stamped in

I returned to Nigeria on Friday and I’m just remembering now that I was not stamped out.

So now my passport has entry stamp but no exit stamp

I’m in Nigeria already and I’m devastated. Please what is the consequence of this mistake ? Will UK Immigration still think I’m in the UK when I’ve already left

Will it result to them thinking that I have overstayed my visa ? Please help 🥺🙏🏾

Do everything within your means to switch to skilled worker visa before your visa expires. Someone who was in a situation similar to yours had push to get sponsored skilled worker visa as her BRP was to expire Jan. 30th 2023 and she was resubmitting her dissertation in May, 2023. She switched as her Uni said they can't facilitate her student visa extension, she submitted her dissertation in May, passed and graduated July 2023 while on Tier 2 visa.
