Religion / Re: Having Two Wives But Now A Born Again by melejo(m): 1:16pm On Feb 26, 2017
Nutase:
The Bible never made a direct reference to polygamy except in the case of a bishop/overseer/elder/supervisor/officials in 1 Tim 3:2 depending on the version.
Some people use Genesis 2:24 to justify there monogamous theory which is not completely wrong and is also not completely right. Almost all the fathers of our faith were polygamist and yet God still found them righteous and even called one a man after his own heart.
In Matthew 23:23 Jesus scolded the pharisees for neglecting the weightier matters of the law which includes Judgement, mercy and faith.
In Matt 9:13 KJV Jesus referring to Hosea 6:6 said to the pharisees "But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
In Matt 12:7 KJV Jesus speaking said But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
In Matt 23:15 NIV Jesus speaking said “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are."
Having laid the foundation above I want to state that I do not subscribe to polygamy neither do I encourage it. But we need to show compassion like Jesus did.
Some Christians use restitution to justify the man sending away his other wives but do not consider the effect of the absence of a husband and father on the other wives and children. Restitution cannot be applied in every situation, for example how does a woman who had an abortion do restitution?
The God we serve looks at the motive behind the action. The action was carried out in ignorance or based on the beliefs of the religion the fellow was practicing at that point in time and not from an informed position.

Let me conclude by saying that God deals with us according to His plan and purpose for our lives and in some particular issues there is no one size fits all. He can ask Mr A to do a thing which he won't permit Mr B to do.
This is one of such issues and should be done based on hearing personally from God and not because of what one man says. In the scriptures God did not permit David to build a temple for him but he permitted Solomon to do that for him.

Shalom.
May the Lord bless you. Such a deep teaching

All these ones shouting travel travel may just be sarcastic. It's true Nigeria is somehow but your mates are still making it with less than 800k at a Start. It's not easy anywhere. Besides going out will drain that 800k from you. No country in this world is looking for visitors anyhow. People are being reported on daily basis. Don't mind nairaland many are making it here. How i wish I know you in person. Of a truth going to village for farming is more trustworthy than attempting to leave Nigeria with mere 800k. Crime / Re: Fulani Herders Pray At Graveyard Of Their Members Killed In Kaduna By Christians by melejo(m): 10:57am On Feb 24, 2017
xtreemk:
SOUTHERN KADUNA: WHO ARE THE REAL VICTIMS?

Muhammad Auwal Abu Suhaib Jama’a town was founded by the Muslims in 1804 under the Ruler ship of Malam Usman Yabo and similarly Zango town by the Hausa Muslims traders. Therefore, the crises in the region is a grand design to completely wipe-out the Muslims and Muslim Communities in the area by the Christians Militias taking advantage of their numerical strength. It is important to note that, the Districts of Zangon Kataf, Kachia, Kagarko and Chawai referred to as at then as Southern Zaria were under Zazzau Emirate until the creation of Chiefdom by the administration of Colonel Lawal Ja’afaru Isa in 1995 and the additional by Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi in 2001.

The Catalogue of Crises in Southern Kaduna include:-

 The kasuwan Magani Episodic Massacre of Muslims 1979/80, 19 people were killed all of them Muslims.

 The Kaduna Strife 1982

 The Jere incidence of 1983

 The Gure/kahugu and Yarkasuwa Crisis 1984

 The Kafanchan Crisis of 1987, which spread to Kaduna, Zaria, Ikara, Funtua, Katsina etc

¤1992 Zango Kataf Genocide.

 The kafanchan attack of 1999 against installation of the New Emir of Jama'a: 54 Muslims were Massacred.

 The February and May 2000 Kaduna Carnage and the massive killing of Muslims in February 23, 2000 in Kachia.

 The 2005 Merciless attack on the Muslims in Mariri, town-lere Local Government. Eleven Muslims killed and over 155 houses destroyed.

 The Post2011 Presidential Election Violence in some parts of the state which resulted in the cleansing of
Muslims in Zonkuwa town, which is still fresh in our memories.

 The 2013 Crises resulting in the killing of 11 Muslims in Kafanchan, Sanga and Kachia.

 The 2016 crises resulting in the killing of 84 Muslims in Samarun Kataf and another 4 in Dangoma.

 The Muslims towns of Zango, Zonkwa, Matsirga, Sabon Gora, Television, Sabon Tasha, Marrabar Rido were completely wiped out and the next target is Kafanchan another strong hold of the Muslims in Southern Kaduna.

 The Persistent communal clashes between the Pastoral and Farmers in the Southern Senatorial District of the state.

All these crises had their genesis from Southern Kaduna State and aggressive against the Muslims.

However, those of 1987,1992, 2000 and 2011 were unprecedented which touches not only on the Social, Political and Economy of the State but the country as a whole. It was senseless and merciless attack on the Muslims.

Details of some these crises were given below:

(1) 1987 Kafanchan Violence, 19 Muslims killed,Many wounded and property worth N78,537,768.94 destroyed. Instigators are
(i) Rev Abubakar Bko
(ii) Capt Manya
(iii) Fellowship of Christian students
(iv) Mrs Ladi Lekwot and others,

(2) 1992 Zangon Kataf Genocide against Muslims,1,533 Muslims massacred, thousandth wounded and property worth N207,658,560.00 destroyed.
The planners and executors were: Gen Zamani Lekwot,
Mal B.A.D Gora,.
Mr J.B.Ayok and many Christians and political leaders.

Gen Lekwot and 5 others were found guilty and sentenced to death but was not carried out.

(3) 2000 Religious disturbances: Over 5000 Muslims perished thousands wounded and unquantifiable property loss.
The following Christians leaders were found to be involved
Elder Saidu Dogo,
Archb P. Y. Jatau,
Archb B.A. Achigili and many others.

See White Paper on the Report of Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Kaduna State Religious Disturbances of February 2000, Page 17.

(4) 2011 Presidential election, 943 persons were killed, thousands wounded and property worth
N23,330,737,540.00 destroyed.

Brig Gen. Adamu Dyeris and many others were indicted.

NOTES:
i.- it should be noted that in the statistical figures of 943 deaths recorded all over the country in the 2011 post presidential election disturbances over 80 % of persons killed were from southern Kaduna senatorial district and in this crises, there was no arrest in connections with the killings. See chapter two page 17 of The White Paper on the Report of the Federal Government Investigation Panel on the Election Violence.

ii- it should also be noted the convoy of Emir Of Jama’a was ambushed at Samarun Kataf on his way back to Kafanchan from Kaduna after a security meeting and similarly the
convoy of the Execute Governor of Kaduna State and members of security council were also attacked about a month ago. All these are indication that the people of Southern Kaduna don't want peace.

THE WAY FORWARD

1. Failure of Government to punish perpetrators of these crises has allowed the continuation of similar crises in the state for close to 40 years.

2. We call on the Government to arrest and punish the perpetrators of the current crises.

3. We call on the Government to find lasting solutions to all these crises.

4. The Government should as a matter of urgency revive the Muslim-Christian consultative committee which is headed by the Governor of the State.

5. The Government should always take proactive measures upon receipt of intelligent report.
Nuhu Ali Ayo Ojeniyi Cyril Oseghale Ladesope Ladelokun Segun Fagbemi
In all you wrote, there is no mention of even a killing of a Christian. Indeed Islam was not only founded on sword but on lies too. But I tell you this nonsense will never sell

of course Christians will deny this news always so eager to blame Muslims for every act of violence, Always pretending to be saints gosh naija Christians are bloody hypocrites. Southern kaduna natives and Jos Natives hate Muslims you can deny it all you want but the fact is, they always start the fight then blame Muslims by playing victim. Muslims have lost more people more resources to the fight in southern kaduna. The natives of southern kaduna and jos are not as rich or prosperous as the Muslim populastion hence the reason why they always pick a fight whenever the opportunity presents itself.
It is easier to defend Buhari's ineptitude attitude than to defend the northern Muslims killing. So better go and join omenka and sarrki in their work than die of starvation doing this.

PMB and Southern Kaduna Crisis

You can see the difference.... Jonathan kept quiet as Muslims were massacred in Southern Kaduna. Governor Yakowa said nothing. As God would have it, both the governor and the Commissioner of Police who oversaw the 2011 massacres would die violently in different plane accidents after their Pyrrhic victory. (The CP who was transferred from Benue just before the elections was rewarded with a promotion to DIG (operation) after the killings. It took just some few months before his helicopter crashed in Jos). Allah ba azzalumi ba ne.

Earlier, Obasanjo had allowed the Plateau massacres to go on with the military drafted each time only after the damage is done. No culprits were ever arrested. Instead, they enjoyed government sponsorship and protection even when they could be identified in pictures and videos.

Jos started enjoying some level of peace only after late President Yaradua ordered a permanent presence of the military on the streets of the capital. And the environs knew some semblance of peace only when an egalitarian balance of terror was attained through reprisal attacks, even in the presence of a heavily biased military sector commanders.

For the first time, we have a President that said something about the destruction of lives and property in Southern Kaduna, instructing the military to end the crisis. A permanent presence of the military in form of JTF may be necessary there. We hope their commanders will not be from one section of the population like in Plateau.

The bitter lesson that Muslim populations of this country have bitterly learnt since the advent of this millennium is that they will hardly get justice from others. They saw how Boko Haram crisis was allowed to linger as a strategy to decimate the region. They witnessed whole villages and towns massacred and not a word of condemnation came from the Christian community or individuals.

This common feeling of victimhood, more than anything else, made many northerners to lend their support to Buhari against Jonathan. They believe only their own can save them from these atrocities.

True. Buhari has not failed northerners in this respect. He has seriously downgraded Boko Haram and he is ready to put off the fire that has been allowed to tarry for two and a half decades in Southern Kaduna.

The Senate on its part has resolved to investigate the Southern Kaduna crisis. Nigerians will hope that it will start from 1987.

Let peace and justice reign. That is our appeal to all Nigeria in that area. Those that incite you to take up arms against one another have nothing to lose. They are too remotely connected to you in blood and geography.

Please embrace peace and rid yourself of hate. Learn to tolerate and respect one another as citizens of the same country. Only then can you prosperity
You're high on something from sambisa, in fact you're a boko haram commander
