Statsocial: If he was misunderstood then it was his fault because he used a blanket term "religious" which also includes Christianity. He should have stated clearly that the only islamic organization permitted to operate within the uni is MSN. I also find it hard to believe that there has been no request for a Christian association on campus, maybe its because they don't accept Christians to begin with.... The man is lying, I know this people. It is an official lies that he just issued now |

seunmsg: All the bigots and divisive characters who have been shouting islamisation over a policy that has nothing to do with Christian should come here and read the true position of things. We should all endeavor to understand a policy before reading bigoted ethnic and religious sentiments into everything. We all gain nothing by dishonestly creating ethnic and religious division all over the country. Hmmm, I pity you walahi. Who told you the denial is the truth? I just wish you and your family the same treatment Christians in the North are receiving from the Muslims. I schooled there. I know what is going on. The Dean is lying. Official memo's are presented without ambiguity. So because Christian associations are yet to register, they will now say only MSSN is allowed. Op the pastor never forbid you from reading your Bible. You are only entertaining the gullible like Seun of nairaland. Malachi as well says "that there may be meat in my house" so it never said any different thing from others. Scripture says you should study your Bible, so do so and improve on what your pastor is preaching. There is no where it is said that your pastor must be more knowledgeable in the Bible than you. Go and read your Bibleand practice what is acceptable and stop all this Sunday nonsence |

Seun and co, I know you will throw it open as usual. when it touches Islam everyone must recite Quran before commenting. Nairaland and founder will pass away but I don't need to tell you that Christianity is eternal. I bet you one day you will preach Christ. No one will force you because we no de do like that. But just know that we are proud of our Bible because it stands the taste of time. We are willing to subject if to public scrutiny because it doesn't disappoint. I think Kwara State University allow their Indigenes to pay lesser school fees compared to non-indigenes, this in my opinion falls under the same category with banning of any Christian Activities around the school. My submission Must you comment on every topic? Why don't you read and pass if you don't know what to say on this particular topic or maybe go to romance section? Mmadu ka a na-aya! You actually know nothing about business. Do you expect the broom sellers to still sell same price just because the brooms are locally produced? It's this kind of your reasoning that landed Nigerians into this crook of a president. Let me give you free education on how the Buhari-induced inflection affects the cost of broom. Apart from the cutlass and other working tools, the broom seller goes to market, sells his broom and buys fish, maggi, garri etc. All those food ingredients have added price so he has to make up by reducing the size of his broom. The transportation fare to and from market has doubled, he has to make it up by affecting the price of the broom. If he get injured during his work, he will treat himself, don't tell me you don't know pharmaceutical products have increased prices. His children school fees have increase, he must make up to survive. Buhari is simply indefensible, so relax |

Themandator: The law is injurious to the society in the long run.......it is a disincentive to philanthropy as some who run such foundations as head would rather close them than hand them over to some other....it is unscriptural even to the Muslim nation...the sultan is the head of the Muslim community in Nigeria and if we go by the law , he will one day be asked to step down as the head of the supreme council for Islamic affairs And I asure you that will not happened, instead of them to detect the tenure ship of the sultan Nigerian will scatter |
Politics › Re: Why I Support FRCN's Governance Code For NGOS by melejo(m): 4:29pm On Jan 11, 2017 |
TonyeBarcanista: The position of GO is relative. As long as he is the Head of Management or Board, the law applies to him. Being a Spiritual head is not same as head of leadership, but most GOs are both spiritual and leadership/management heads.
They can keep their spiritual heads, but not management head. That's what the law says.
Beside, I thought the Head of the Church is Christ? Am I missing something? Your article makes sense at least within your level of biblical understanding but don't try to win all argument else you will flop as you're already doing. Back to the subject matter, go back and carefully study the last paragraph you posted. From the biblical perspective, you can't separate the bishop of the church from church administration. The head of the church is Jesus yes but he has apostles on earth. I've never seen or heard of a nation, not even the highly advanced nations we often copy from that has a low that goes as deep as detecting the tenureship of ecclesiastical authority. Do you know how they were appointed? If we believe the Holy Spirit appointment them then He alone determines how and when they leave. Don't bring Islam inside here because they have different modus operandi, if this law was meant to touch their way of doing things, eg changing the headship of the Muslim community from northerner to southerner, it will not work. Can you go to my village and change the headship of Amadioa whose tenure ends upon death? See, we know where the law is targeted at irrespective of who made it and I assure you it will not hold water |
