Ok about the first issue let's wait and see, U and I know at Rccg and all others the son and close family member of the GO hold vital positions in the ministry and they have high probability of taking over. But I'd ignored that point.

You shifted the 2nd issue to politics, we all know how Politics have failed us.

What I was saying is when these missionary schools where established they were based mainly on charity regardless of who you're. To help masses as a whole not inflicting high prices for education or health issues. It function for many century. Missionary schools had more effect on common man life and were much more than any of the present day school churchs can establish. This was in reference to your issues on babcock, covenant etc.

It failed when the Government took over. We're not talking politics here we know how clueless that's.
Talkative, why don't you establish your own and do it the way you deem fit. You have not championed a nursary school of five students and you're here preaching how missionary schools should be ran. I tire for poor man reasoning line ooooo

You see some people praising Falana now because he has said what pleases them. Were it for the other way around, they'd call him disparaging names. When Sahara Reporters exposes people from the Buhari government, they give a thumb up; when it's Patience, Maduekwe, or a PDP member, they'll say they're being paid by APC to spread "propaganda" and "media trial".

Op seriously I want to buy the so called plastic rice. Tell me where you bought it, I need large quantity. The fact is that I don't believe in all these plastic rice brouhaha. To be sincere plastic material of any form is much more costly than any rice you can think of. What's the benefit of using plastic material to produce fake rice that would definitely be sold cheaper intead of employing the same material for more economic venture. Please spare me all those thrash unless you are able to show me where I will get plastic rice in tones at an affordable price. There is what is called plastic pellet, people often visit where they are made and upload the videos on Facebook claiming they witness the making of plastic rice. Plastic pellets are just plastic materials made in pellets for the purpose of ease in packaging transportation from one place to another. As for the picture above, that can only be your remaining Christmas/new year rice but bloggers must chop na

FamilyRe: My Wife Is Not What I Thought Before We Got Married: I Want To Divorce by melejo(m): 11:15pm On Jan 03, 2017
wonukwuru:
I have taken time to read all your wonderful comments, even though some are very insulting. For crying out loud, why will come online to discuss my family if I don't need a solution? I said in my post that my wife deliberately takes in anytime I remind her of what to do to assist in the family. Some of you are asking if I'm not the person doing it and why don't I use condom. For your information, my wife is the type that does not like her husband using condom on her. In fact, the day she saw condom in the house, she went to our pastor to report me that I'm using it outside. Her reasoning is that anybody with a condom is an "ashawo". On the other issue, it's not as if I never noticed her academic backwardness during our courtshithough my thought was that she will improve beside, she had over 2years extra for a course of 4years and by then we are already married. So, how could I have known that she will graduate with 3rd class? Believe me guys, I cannot lie against her on this platform. All I have said is nothing but the truth. Ok, tell me, will I stop sleeping with my wife? I have even complained to the sisters. I did not initiate this post to be rediculed, all I need is matured advice on how to handle the situation. Agreed, I made a mistake by marrying her in the first place, but it has already happened, what do I do? I'm not foolish or careless as somebody commented above.
Don't bother yourself explaining too much. You must know that nairaland is full of children. Just read the matured response and move on. Sincerely i feel your pain. I had very similar experience with the girl I was planning to marry. After trying to encourage her to improve and she kept resisting, I let her go. Yours is different because you're married already with kids so try and forget about divorce, it's not a solution to your problem. There must be something you're wife is good at. Carefully identify her area of strength and build her up. On dressing I noticed that women that have poor dressing sence hardly improve while married but its not impossible. So you need to take her out from time to time and let her get some good clothes that suitable for her especially romantic night wears. You can also buy her some simple books regularly on different subjects to improve her spoken and written English, above all don't forget to pray that's if you are not like Seun of nairaland

SportsRe: Morolake Akinosun's Tweets 5 Years Ago Come True (Photos) by melejo(m): 7:36pm On Nov 28, 2016
AdoraAmadi:
At 17 years old, Nigerian born US athlete Morolake Akinosun shared a dream on Twitter that, by 2016 when she will be 22, she would graduate from a university she hadn't not chosen yet, and go to the Olympics and win a gold medal.

Five years on, all of those 3 dreams have become a reality.

This 2016, Morolake Akinosun went to the Olympics, won a gold medal and by this Saturday will graduate from The University of Texas.

The proud achiever took to Twitter to update fans on her achievement. See photo below:

The 22-year-old runner told Buzzfeed News she posted the tweet in 2011 after watching the World Championships for Track and Field.
"At the time I tweeted that out, it was more of a dream and an aspiration," she said. "I wasn't on the level yet and I didn't know for sure that I would every get there, but I for sure wanted to get there."

Ms Akinosun had forgotten about the tweet until it came up on her Timehop app.

I truly believed this was a goal of mine, and I dreamed big, and I was able to achieve my dream. I want to encourage girls to go ahead and go after it, no matter how big it is, no matter how many people think your dream is unachievable.

Congratulations to her. Truly she has achieved 2 but the third I'm not sure because USA ASUU may go on strike preventing her from graduating this year

I'm a Christian and the church has lost it these days. We are in the end time. Is it bad if scholarships are given to poor church member's children into these schools?

If you are admitting 2000 students, and you give 800 students from the church scholarships, no on would complain that the rest are paying 500k.

But when members cannot afford the school fees, I wonder who is fooling who.
Poor you. Only knows how to tell people how many scholarships to give and all that in their school. Why not lead by example, champion a school, admit 200 students and place 800 on scholarship so that Oyedepo will learn. Do you know the contribution of that school to the society? Do you know how many scholarships they actually give per year? Do you know how many people are gainfully employed by the school and are well and timely paid, do you know what is the cost of maintaining a school of that class? Only God will deliver your type from knowing how to manage another's university without attempting to establish a kindergarten

Who cares! Useless 5percentile, let then go and die!
On a serious note, the main infrastructure deficit in the SE are roads, and almost all federal roads in the region are captured in the budget and are currently been repaired. There hasn't been a viable rail project to the region due to its location. Also no dam project is viable in the region. So don't expect PMB to do things just because of your wailing. You people should have learnt something, its same with appointments and projects, so long he's satisfied it's the best decision, he goes for it!
And there are projects like financing the budget, social interventions and agricultural projects with no specific region, meaning the SE will benefit from those. So its not like the region isn't benefiting anything from the money.
Anyway like I said, who cares?

Yes I agree with you. But I was an 'active' Christian. I was captain in our children department then. I used to sweep and clean the church premises every Saturday with my parents and siblings. Anyone who knows me can attest.
Brother, he got you. He was able make you confess that you were never really a Christian. All the above listed attributes and activities of yours does not make anyone a Christian. I really like your politeness but if this statements are what made you call yourself a Christian. It means you were never one.

Why should an 'all powerful' god have to sacrifice 'himself' to 'himself' before men could be forgiven.

PoliticsRe: Chidi Odinkalu Mocks DSS Raid On Judges – In 5 Tweets by melejo(m): 10:09am On Oct 09, 2016
omofunaab:
I have been saying these things
The judiciary arm of government is very corrupt and they are the most protected arm of government.
The worst they get after collecting bribes is retirement and not prosecution.
That's why a corrupt politician will boldly tell you that we should meet in court because he knows how corrupt the judiciary is.
The stupid judge that discharged and acquitted James ibori is probably somewhere in Nigeria enjoying his bribe whereas ibori was sentenced in London.

Don't let us pretend that these judges aren't corrupt because i see most of us have turned to human rights activists now on nairaland.

The truth is the judiciary needs a thorough cleansing which can only be done in a draconian way.
Forget stupid rule of law or due process, yes the NJC is saddled with the responsibility of punishing corrupt judges but please tell me how many judges the NJC have recommended for prosecution despite the fact we know all these judges collect bribes.

Some people are hiding under rule of law and due process to rape us.

People are condemning DSS commando style.. It's like you are new in Nigeria, this is how Nigerian police and law enforcement agencies have been rolling since inception, it's nothing new, or do you think due process is when police collects your phone and starts checking your emails. Or when there is a fight on the streets and police goes to innocent people's house to arrest them.

Please don't let us pretend.. Even in America the FBI Wil carry surveillance on suspects before carrying raids on houses so that the suspect won't bury evidence .

The question most of you should be asking is that did the DSS present any search warrant? Which they did. They presented search warrants which is the normal procedure.

What's your business if they didn't invite them to their office in the first place.. It's not your duty to teach them how to do their jobs, most of us don't know that house raids is a constitutional thing .
If they don't raid how then will they get evidence?

Please they should raid any judge's house that surveillance has shown to be suspicious.

For once other judges Will think twice before collecting bribes.
You are probably a kid and have far limited knowledge about the complexity of humanity. If you give anybody such a privilege to arrest, bungle or imprison without due process, it is just a matter of time you will make him a monster. Buhari is already known with bigotry, imagine if left unchecked what will become of his personal enemies. The due process you hear about is the only thing that can tame someone like Buhari.

It is cyclical. The same argument FFK is making could be used when Patience Jonathan tormented an elected governor, Gov. Amaechi for years in PortHarcourt through a proxy, CP Mathew Mbu.

Although it makes mockery of decemcy to reduce every action of this government into a comparative analysis with GEJ's government.
