The resources we have had at our disposal have been squandered by our so called leaders. We can still make amends. By God's grace its not late. We will rise again, Niger Delta will rise sandraokosun1: .niger deltan and south south must be liberated. In the absence of having our country, we would stick to nigeria. And get our benefits. Niger delta has been given a fair share to fulfil its potentials, increased budget to its states, special ministries etc but we have had our own people become our problem, we have state govs, minister of our ministry, president, senators etc what have they done. The asari, orubebe and clark have hijacked our struggle 4 their pockets, investing outside our region. We first have to cure our internal problem and stop blaming fg for everything. Nigeria is 100% viable to the union with the land and identity thieves |

Insightful, thoughtful and refreshing. This is what every Niger Deltan prays for. Isaac Adaka Boro fought for it, Ken Wiwa fought for it, and by God's grace it will not die in our time! We will achieve it. Niger Delta Arise! QuotaSystem: I'm glad this man is finally becoming useful and giving a voice and identity to his people, among wolves that are bent on usurping their lands and wiping off their identity under the scam of them being 'igboid' communities. |

Your statement smacks of ad hominem. Nobody is talking about whether you ll cease to exist or not. Please reason. I still maintain that your unbelief is useless, whether you like it or YES, God remains the Most High. Deal with it. musKeeto: Your belief is also useless. I will be breathing tomorrow and there is nothing your non-existent God can do about it. |

The Op has noticed anything Tonyebarcanista draws traffic and most times makes FP and is capitalizing on that to open a thread. Parasitizing on another's popularity.
This issue has been over flogged. US and Britain once had a rship which is over now but Britain is not claiming US lands, igbos are a different entity now from the igboid tribes. They should face east. |

Similarly, the igbos should invest the energy they use in claiming other people's lands to developing igboland. You seem to be more catholic than the pope on the issue of oil, OMLs can be reviewed woodcook: Personally I don't like taking sides on tribal war, but I am quick to point out issues when someone's integrity is on the line.
You may share same view as the 'accused' TonyeBarcanista and other Rivers people as you claimed, it battles me to note that you people pay more attention to Igbos 'grabbing' your land/oil than to those that are actually in control of your oil. Have you guys ever wondered if you lots have invested same energy you guys invested in engaging the Igbos on NL, in engaging those that has loot and raped your land ( the looting and raping is still going on) that by now you sure would have made some progress.
I am only sorry for those that take you guys serious, until I see threads calling out every single Nigeria that are not of Rivers extract to stay off the oil wells in your region would I take you guys serious. Other than that, na just normal beer parlor gist ooh. |

So on point okolochyke, I'm of the same view. Tonyebarcanista is only speaking the mind of the true Rivers man on the issue of the igbos okolochyke: Igbos especially the men have a very low self esteem
Just because some people told them the truth, they have resorted to abuse and blackmail
There must be something so vile and terrible about Igboland that makes Igbos lay claim to other peoples lands.
If they are not claiming Lagos, they tell us they own Abuja, now they claim that they own PH
For the last 72 hours, all they have done is open useless threads because some people have hurt their pathetic ego
smh.... |

well said! Everyone knows their rights and no one should claim to be more knowledgeable about the issues of the ND than the ND themselves. The Niger Delta do not need a Biafra before they fight for self determination. Omololu007: my brother if ibos are to leave Nigeria, they will leave with the south east, and some ibo part of rivers, which won't include ogba,ph,bonny or opobo.ibos are oil thieves, they are parasite,I was really laughing out loud when I saw the yeye map of biafra nnamdi kanu draw o,biafra include the efik,isoko,ogba,ikwerre,ijaw,itsekiri..but he left the edos and benin people out of it cause there is no oil in edo state.yeebos are parasite that must be destroyed if they wanna take what is not theirs |

I pity any gullible Niger Deltan that allows themselves to be hoodwinked into any type of pseudo arrangement with the igbos either by discussion, promises of a "constitution", or by any other means.
As far as I'm concerned, the various ethnic groups should form their own enclaves, countries or whatever. If for any reason that is not possible, the so called one Nigeria "scam" remains the only attractive option!!!

Barcanista, i'd like to invite you to an upcoming event, please mail me at dabaorubibi@yahoo.co.uk TonyeBarcanista: How can 'we set our differences apart'? That will be suicidal my dear sister. The reason everyone is shouting 'marginalisation' from the North to the South is because our forebearers in their wisdom decided to 'do away with the British first'. Today, we are talking of restructuring!
Well, I'm 100% for a restructured Nigeria where equity, justice and fairness shall prevail irrespective of minority or majority. Irrespective of Fulani, Ndoki or Yoruba. In the event of that being "impossible", I will never support any arrangement that will not define terms and condition for all ethnic nationalities whether Southern Republic, Rivers state Republic, Niger-Delta Republic or Lower Niger Republic.
Meanwhile, the status and nomenclature of Portharcourt as presently known is non-negotiable. |

benedictnsi: He thought ruling a state is come and go....... I remember when he nurtured the post of Presidency then I wonder if this is what Nigerians would have faced We really have to thank Almighty God that he didn't smell the seat!! Otherwise Nigeria would be in a complete mess by now! I was hearing that Imo state roads are in bad shape, but I didn't know how bad, as a matter of fact they are terrible!! I had the misfortune of traveling there by car, because I underestimated the stories I had been hearing, and ended up driving through seas of muddy water on back roads off the main road at Umuapu precisely because the main road was just terrible and cars and buses were diverting!! To cut the long story short, the car slept there overnight because after wading through one particularly deep muddy gully it suddenly stopped. It took going back with a mechanic from PH to rectify the issue! All the mechanics from the surrounding proclaimed(like false prophets ) it was fuel pump issue, yet after buying the fuel pump exorbitantly(fuel pump is 2500 but they brought theirs for 4000!), the car couldn't move. Or how can I forget the muddy ride to Umuapu station bus stop on bike on my way back to PH, and the prayers not to be tipped into the knee deep muddy water!!! Broken down vehicles, both articulated trucks and mini buses littered the roadside with passengers standing knee deep in muddy water looking dejected. It was a terrible experience which I do not wish to repeat in a hurry!!! |

You are right and wrong. Right in the statement that nairaland is prestigious and popular. Wrong in the defamation of character. If you care to reawaken your memory, it was on this same nl that a lot of defamatory statements against the former president were made and I didnt hear anyone issuing any caveats. The question is what has changed? Is it not same nl again? This question begs the question #are we back to the Hitler-KGB-Idi Amin era? Mcbussy: No, because it's a speculation and even a lie... There is no credible source and it's carrying people's names. People that can sue for defamation of character. If u had a blog or forum half as prestigious and popular as nairaland, u would be weary of some crap that people post on it. |
