I really must commend this austerity recipe if for nothing else for its ingenuity. Did you snap a "before" photo of yourself before you started your experiment so you can really see if there are any depreciations or improvements in your overall physical appearance such as changes in skin tautness, emaciation, et al which you could use as a yardstick to judge the success of your experiment? Otherwise thumbs up if its working for you |

This totally describes me as well. I thought I was the only one, good to know there are others out there with exact same details. I used to think my inability to overlook things like betrayal, lies etc was a flaw, but with age and experience Im getting to accept me for who I am. |

(Kingxway)If our politicians had common sense, our country wouldn't have been the way it is. What they all have is greed
This is like the classic case of the pot calling the kettle black. What has Shehu Sani done for the common men he is representing in his own senatorial area?! If he has done something, what is the frequency? After all he is on the jumbo pay, that is contributing to crippling the economy, like every other senator and we haven't yet heard that in his love for the "common man" he has rejected the salary!!! |

The fact that people are numb to indecency in our society today (because it seems to be progressing from worse to worst) does not in any way justify it. I felt nausea just reading! Apart from the moral angle, he could be posing a serious health hazard to the innocent wife! Only God knows how many other men the so called mistress could be dating when she's not with him! Some men are simply heartless! why marry when you are not done philandering?? |

As a matter of fact, the best way to prove that they can be on their own is to move massively back to the SE and develop it. I prefer to watch a masquerade that dances on its own feet and not the one that dances on someone's head. Demdem: That is the problem. Biafrans arent wired to remain in their states. They are wired to migrate. Imagine fools wanting freedom while remaining in Lagos. They are only wasting their time. |

Christallite, on the other thread, someone posted Gov Fayose's number. Please do check it, try that angle as well CHRISTALLITE: Please come to my aid anyone. I had been admitted to study BS.c Geology in Unilorin.I was able to pay my acceptance fees,on the deadline date at the dead minutes, courtesy of a fellow nairaland member,GOD used as HIS angel,@Melodies,by username. https://www.nairaland.com/2703993/please-me-out
However, I have been given ultimatum of ten days as of now to pay my school fees so as to continue with my registrations and course registrations..Lectures had started from last week. I have been unable to raise anything reasonable.I am aware that the earlier the resumption the better, but what could I have done. I haven't gotten accommodation,so there is no where I could stay. What make me more frustrated is the recent compulsory inclusion of a tablet payment, mandated by the school that we should pay alongside school fees, which amount to sixty three thousand naira(School fees+ Tab).More challenging,is the fact that one cannot pay school fees without paying for the tablet. Where do I get money for that? It is frustrating. All I have been able to gather is a disappointing Seven thousand naira, saved from various Jamb Tutorial Centres I tutor. But,it is nothing compare to the expenses I have before me. I don't want to know what to do presently as I am more confused,I ought to be in school by now but here I am going from a tutorial centre to another, yet not yielding fruitful result.I had kept believing in GOD,because HE was there for me during Acceptance payment, even at the dead minutes. But sincerely I am more confused,as I fear than ever before.Almost every time,I am always thinking about how I could resume, but no way yet.I am same responsible for my family upkeep! From the little I do. If I have an alternative, I won't have come public, but I have no choice. Geology,am aware needs attending classes. We do many courses like I gathered. But lectures had already began. Please help me out, anyone! Please. Acct name:Afolabibi Yinka Oluwatosin acct no: 3047353656 (first bank) Thanks people |

Whether rural or not, you have just agreed that it occurs in developed countries. QED trapQ: and how many developed countries have you been, to verify your claim?
that is a "very very very rare" occurrence in the developed world. and mostly even occurs in rural areas. For this to be happening every time it rains in a major city like PH only shows how backward and primitive Nigeria is. |
Politics › Re: GRA Phase3, Port Harcourt After Rainfall (Photos) by melodies: 5:40pm On Nov 05, 2015 |
He shouldn't mislead the public with pictures taken while it is still raining!!!! That is why the term STORM WATER was coined to describe it. Even in developed countries it occurs. As far as I'm concerned, he was being petty trapQ: You're the one who is petty here. Who is comparing states? The fact that some other states experience worse conditions doesn't make this good. What is bad is bad. |

Yes Kunbit, well built because we don't just pour concrete on roads in PH! Foundations are first made and then lined with rods before other processes so, yes, well built, it is, isn't it?

The Op is petty. Please he should post pics of roads in his own State after rainfall and post pics of GRA 3 after rainfall and let's see. PH has drainages and well built roads, so nobody should try to confuse others who have never been there. Anyone in doubt should come to PH and verify. I went to Imo and verified the horrible condition of roads there.

Thank you for this reply, you took the words out of my mouth. Such hypocrisy! Any one found guilty of misappropriating public funds should be brought to book including those indicted in the Halliburton scandal ie Obj, Atiku and co. Those who looted this country during the oil boom ie IBB and co. Only then will the anti corruption war be a sincere one. EternalTruths: [/color]
You are a bloody hypocrite
No Yoruba will ever rule this country because of OBJ corruption
No Hausa will ever rule this country because of Abacha's corruption

"All of the above" is a blanket statement We need specifics. For example, what is the per capita income of the average easterner/ Igbo and the research link? Is there a different regional army for the Igbo and their approximate number with research links, not Wikipedia. Give specific info carnegiefan: ALL of the above. But don't take my words for it. Goodluck with your resource control. |

Please throw more light on the "far more powerful" part. Is it in terms of arms and munition, financial base, military might, infrastructural development, per capita income, welfare programs? We need be sure of the parameters that helped you arrive at this conclusion. carnegiefan: I support true resource control; the type that can actually happen. And NO I'm not afraid of saying so... Barcanista thinks that the only way for his Ijaw to grow, they have to swallow their bigger (and far more powerful) neighbor -Ndigbo. Failure is assured with such mindset. |
