oge4real:What makes u think it is a pity? It is better to die and be with the Lord than to suffer illness in this world. |
Ziggy_mama:Yes o. Death is the inevitable end of every physcial living being. It will come when it will come. Maximum of 70 - 100 years. Just pray you are ready for it when it comes. This life is just a passing phase. |
Dis Guy:The censor board will not allow the movie to be released, if it has any X-rated scenes. |

Believe it or not. Woman has Man in it; Mrs. has Mr . in it; Female has Male in it; She has He in it; Madam has Adam in it; No wonder men always want to be inside women! Men were born between the legs of a woman, yet men spend all their life and time trying to go back between the legs of a woman, Why? BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME Okay, Okay, it all makes sense now, I never looked at it this way before: MEN tal illness, MENstrual cramps, MEN tal breakdown, MENopause. Ever notice how all of women's problems start with MEN? To all the women that read this, May it brighten their day. For all the men that have a great sense of humour, |
I went to Heathrow on the day of the incident in the eve to see someone going on teh BA flight to Abuja and the Check-in lady related her own version of the story in explaning why the abuja flight was so full was cos the lagos passengers had to be put on the abuja flight having been asked to get off their own morning flight cos "they teamed up and demanded that a deportee shul not be deported, cos the deportee was shouting that he didn't want to go" I was a bit amused though was wondering as the solidarity moves by the passengers n whether Police officers were not in attendance. At least now I've heard the story from a 'participant' s' mouth. Na wah oh, God give us the strength to stand up f0r our people for once. |
Some people still dey confused as Seun rearrange the nairaland business section. I was thinking he had deleted it for some reasons, |

Cadbury PLC, AWD, Union Registrars and them people don hear nwiii. Hope this serves as a lesson to other dubious companies in NSE. Nigerians be careful with all the insider trading, Private Placements, Rights offers etc. Capoil and Afroil case still pending. All that glitters is not gold. |
nwando:Good point. I remember a bible story about a woman that was caught in adultery. (meanwhile the man that shagged her was not caught) She was to be stoned to death, but Jesus asked for the person without sin to cast the first stone (some people are casting their stone on this thread). They all dropped their stones and disappeared starting from the oldest guy. No matter how dark the sin is, THANK GOD THERE IS FORGIVENESS. @ poster, if your ex would not forgive and forget. GOD HAS FORGIVEN YOU. Go and sin no more. |
buyers beware!!!!!! !!!!!!! Subject: Stock Market Once upon a time in a Nigerian village, a man appeared and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for N10. The villagers seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands at N10 and as supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their effort. He further announced that he would now buy at N20. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms. The offer rate increased to N25 and the supply of monkeys became so little that it was an effort to even see a monkey, let alone catch it! The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at N50! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would now buy on behalf of him. In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers. Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has collected. I will sell them to you at N35 and when the man returns from the city, you can sell it to him for N50." The villagers squeezed up with all their savings and bought all the monkeys. Then they never saw the man nor his assistant, only monkeys everywhere!! ! Welcome to the "Stock" Market!!!!! |

grabdbull:Thats a good idea. If Nairaland do PP or IPO, it will be OVER-subscribed. (just like this thread) |
The whole of NSE has gone hay-wire. Stocks without fundamentals are increasing in price while those with good fundamentals are not moving. HERD |
maneasy:Lets watch and see the effect of this news or investigation on the affected stocks. |
@Stock gurus, between Goldlink and universal insurance which is better for CICO. |
In the United States The insider trading laws prohibit buying or selling stock when you have inside information. Inside information is any material non-public information that could affect a company's stock price if it were publicly known. At work, you may learn information about the company that has the potential to affect its stock price. Or you might learn similar information about a supplier, customer, or business partner. If this information is not known to the public, it is considered inside information. Buying or selling stock while you have this information—and before it is available to the public—is a violation of the insider trading laws. Under the federal securities laws, the penalties for insider trading are very severe, including large financial penalties and even prison terms. If you learn inside information about a company, you cannot buy or sell stock in that company until the information is publicly disclosed and has had time to be absorbed by the market. This rule applies even if you are not an employee of the company. Some examples of inside information include: 1. a planned acquisition or merger 2. financial information, like earnings estimates, increases or declines in sales, or liquidity problems 3. significant expansion or curtailment of operations 4. a government investigation or lawsuit against the company—or a settlement that ends an investigation or lawsuit 5. changes in key management personnel Remember: you should always maintain the confidentiality of any inside information—or confidential information—about your company or its business partners, NSE Stock Gurus, Do we have such laws in Nigeria? |
