BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

So the banks left by Soludo were 'flourishing' yet many went on to declare losses for quarter after quarter, sack thousands of staff to remain profitable and write off hundreds of billions of Naira loans?
The same Soludo that was hobnobbing with bankers that were soon to face criminal prosecution and were exposed as thieves? So the evidence used to convict Cecilia ibru and indict 'Pastor' Erastus Akingbola was false?

The same Soludo under whose watch the Naira fell from N118 to a dollar to around N147? Or the same Soludo that spent billions on a switch to Polymer notes that any decent research could have told him that they have a penchant to wear when old?

The only thing damaged here is your brain. A well placed slap from me can cure you if you desire to be saved.
Can you see how immature and reckless you are in talking( just like your so called reckless Sanusi) - it seems both of you have the same genes. People like you can never do anything other than abusing and destroying what is flourishing. It's better you mind your utterings!!!

It is just too late for GEJ to know that the man in CBN is just but a clear destroyer of the Nigerian economy! Who tells you that all the reforms he has been doing were not to serve a particular interest? How sure are we that all those allegations he made against those five banks were actually genuine? Is the CBN governor not a a reckless talkative who instead of being a technocrat obviously turn to be a loose talkative? To me, this is not an ideal Central Bank governor anywhere in the world. Was it the same way the western world handled their banking crisis that Sanusi handled that of Nigeria by destroying the very flourishing banking industry left by Charles Soludo. No wonder he(Sanusi) bluntly said he was not going for the Second term, since he knew he had carried out all the agenda given to him by his cohort. Sanusi has clearly done much damage to the economy of Nigeria. It's a pity!!!

Pure Rubbish!!!!
V.Ladipo:
n Judges 15:14-15, when Samson was brought to his enemies bound, the Holy Spirit came mightily upon him and he began to level them one after the other. But you may want to ask: What were the others looking at while their colleagues were being killed? It happened this way because when the supernatural of God is in action, the enemies will first be paralysed. This season, the Lord will paralyse all your enemies and they will begin to grope in darkness, and they will become easy preys for your sword in Jesus’ Name.

However, just as the positive supernatural is linked with the Holy Spirit, so also is the negative supernatural linked with the devil and his demons. In Acts 1:8 and Luke 24: 48-49, the Lord told the disciples not to go out to preach until they receive the power of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 19:11-12, God performed special miracles by the hand of Paul. You may wonder what facilitated this. To answer that, you may want to look at what he did more other brethren. Based on his testimony in 1 Corinthians 14:18, the manifestation of the supernatural in a special way in his life must have been facilitated by the fact that he spent more time praying in the Holy Spirit than all other brethren. This simply tells us that the way you relate to with the Holy Spirit in your closet will determine the outward or public results that will accompany you. If you spend time worshipping and praising Him, speaking in the language He freely gave to you and you live holy before Him, you will never be far from the miraculous. The Holy Spirit is the chairperson of the Body of Christ while Jesus is still the owner. If you want to be relevant, you must link up with the Spirit of Truth. Do you monitor your relationship with Him? Do you hear the voice of the spirit? When you do, do you obey promptly? Are there certain errands He sent you that you are yet to carry out? He is a very gentle Spirit. He must not be grieved often yet He is equally as patient as the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ contrary to what some people teach. However, He should not be taken for granted. How much of your time do you devote to developing your relationship with the Holy Spirit?

Memorise
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
1 Corinthians 14:18

Read:
Luke 24: 48-49

Bible in one year:
Job 18-20

Action point:
Pray in the Spirit for 1-2 hours today, and do so more often daily. Write down what you saw, heard or experienced for the next three weeks.

Religion / Re: The Many Lies About Speaking In Tongues by mercy3103: 11:05am On Dec 09, 2013
[quote author=fredx4]There's been a lot of misconceptions about the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, and I'll try my best to clarify some of them.
1. Speaking in tongues is not for everybody: every christian can speak in tongues. The problem is some christians confuse it with speaking with divers tongues classified as a gift of the Holy Spirit in corinthians. Speaking with divers tongues and interpretation (which is for the edification of the church) is a special gift for some people but speaking in tongues( which is for your own edification) is for everyone
2. You have to be holy to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit: the most common argument is tha God is holy and cannot dwell in an unclean vessel, the question is were you holy before you got born again. One of the functions of the Holy Spirit is make to make you live a holy life plus if you are already perfect and holy then why do you need the Holy Spirit. Besides the Holy Spirit dwells in your spirit(that is born again) and not your flesh( that is filled with corruption)
3. The Holy Spirit will leave you if live a sinful life: Jesus Christ said the Holy Spirit will abide with you forever(john14:16) I don't know where most people get the doctrine that if you commit sin the Holy Spirit will leave you from. The Holy Spirit is there to make to make you perfect and will never leave you nor forsake you.

Rubbish!!!!!
pastormustwacc: If you are not sure whether or not you have been baptised by the holy spirit, then you are probably yet to receive the holy spirit baptism.
You can check out this thread, How to Receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit

And later come back to join us here.

If you are here to mock the holy spirit, be warned, you might not go scott free.

Let us jump into the thread.
The 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit
1) Word of Wisdom
2) Word of Knowledge
3) Faith
4) Gifts of Healing
5) Working of Miracles
6) Prophecy
7) Discerning of Spirits
cool Divers (or different) kinds of Tongues
9) Interpretation of (different) Tongues

First, i want to tell you that some of you have these gifts but due to ignorance are not even aware of it because your pastor probably did not teach you how to recognize them. Secondly, unbelief might be the problem. You might not believe, and think the voice in your head is the voice of demons - and you tell it to shut up. But the bible tells us how to differentiate between the spirit of God and the spirit of the world.

Also, different gifts can manifest at different times based on the leadings of the holy spirit. Remember, the power is not in you like that - it is from God. So when you work a miracle, all you have done is cause the holy spirit to move to bring about changes (the dynamic ability to make changes - like i was taught at Christ Embassy).

No believer can say that they have no gift of the Spirit from God. God has given all believers gifts; some have several but everyone has these gifts. These gifts of the Spirit are given not for the believer but for the Body of Christ. It is to make the Body complete. These gifts are intended for the church to edify it, to strengthen it, to feed it, to exhort it, to encourage it and to have the Body of Christ empowered to do the work of Christ. These gifts are always to exalt Christ, to witness of God’s power, to build up the Body, and to work to enlarge the Body of Christ by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost. There are several biblical tools and surveys that believers can use to discover their own gifts of the Spirit. These are helpful applications to allow the Christian to see what their gifts are and therefore how they can best help the church. No believer in Christ has any gift of the Spirit.

7 gifts?
Isaiah 11:2-3 speaks of seven different spirits or gifts: “And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. He will delight in obeying the Lord.
He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay (called discernment).” These are important gifts and some of them are similar to but different from the gifts of the Spirit that Paul talks about in the New Testament in I Corinthians chapter twelve. There are nine gifts of the Spirit mentioned by Paul in I Corinthians chapter twelve:
1) Word of Wisdom
2) Word of Knowledge
3) Faith
4) Gifts of Healing
5) Working of Miracles
6) Prophecy
7) Discerning of Spirits
cool Divers (or different) kinds of Tongues
9) Interpretation of (different) Tongues

This is not an exhaustive list of the gifts of the spirit, for example some are said to have the gift of mercy which is a person who is quick to forgive and not judge others who have sinned while others are not so quick to do so. God gives these gifts as He sees best and not what we think they are for (v 11). We can not receive gifts we are not intended to receive but we can desire certain gifts, indicating that we can receive gifts of the Spirit that may fulfill the desires of our hearts while still fulfilling God‘s purpose for them (v 31). Let’s examine what these gifts are and what is their intended use is for in the church today.
Romans chapter twelve has a similar listing of the gifts of the Spirit but I Corinthians chapter twelve is more comprehensive in nature. I Corinthians chapter twelve begin with Paul telling the Corinthian church, and for the most part, all believers in the church today. Paul wants to make these gifts crystal clear to us and so we will depend upon the inspired Word of God to reveal them to us (v 1).
Paul tells us that “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them” (v 4). No two gifts are the same and generally no two believers have exactly the same gifts but always these gifts are given for the common good of the church (v 7).
