Hello Nairalanders,

For the past 3 weeks now I have been having some issues on my car battery. Most time I will park it in the night only to start it in the morning and found out the battery has drained but the surprise comes when I jump-start it with another battery and it works then drive it and stay in office for almost 11hrs, whenever I start the car it will work perfectly, the only time it drains is overnight.

Mech Engineers/ Rewires in the house, please what could have been the cause. Thank you very much.

Good morning Nairalanders, Please there's this issue that has been bothering me for a while now. There's this lady whom I met and have been dating for about 3 years now.

Though we've been doing alright all these while but suddenly she started having dreams concerning my family. Last night, she had a dream and she said inside the dream, my elder sister was berating her why she hasn't gotten pregnant for me all these while.

The truth of the matter is that we've only been cohabiting for 8 months and she hasn't for once missed her period.

Whenever we made love, I always noticed that she'd go the bathroom to pee and wash her private part. I have asked many elderly people around what that means and they keep telling me she doesn't want to get pregnant. Is that even possible at all?

The other disturbing part is that her mother is a traditional religious woman who worships the gods of her village and my woman also does the same. Recently I've been considering on how to marry her and have even been working towards it, and would be around March, next year.

Please, Nairalanders, what could be the problem. Should I go ahead with the whole relationship, considering how her family background is surrounded by the traditional religious practices of her family and how fetish she's. Could that also be the reason she has been finding it very difficult to take in?

I later got to know that it wasn't even Palmpay ongoings, it was a brand called Flexicash but it seems the brand is using or hiding under Palmpay to perpetrate such illegal practices and that makes Palmpay to be complicit.

First, a 7 day loan duration is illegal, unethical, lacks common sense and against Google Play Store policies. If Palmpay is on Playstore, then its loan services or subsidiary shouldn't contravene Playstore policies on loan and that makes Palmpay complicit. Also, adding daily overdue fee right from the 7th day until the debt is fully paid is very damaging and very unethical.

It's very embarrassing that in this 2025/2026, we still have some Mr. Shylocks in our regulated finance sectors who are ready to take pounds of flesh from their debtors.

I used to know a senior civil servant who was saving money and buying properties around my area back then in Lagos. When he was close to retirement, he was very sick. I didn't know the actual nature of his sickness because I wasn't too close to him or his family. Soon, he started selling all his properties and savings till he sold his last house where he lived with his family. He was lucky to survive the sickness because he had enough to get quality medication and medical attention but he ended up starting from zero at old age. His children weren't even helpful too. I am not even sure if he is still alive because he was just struggling to live when I left the area. This is why I always say that while you save, invest and plan for retirement, always pray for good health and try to live healthily too. Eat well, hang out with people who would make you happy and never forget to put your trust and hope in God. Forget all these financial analysts, this life is more spiritual than they seem to see it. May God let us end well.

A Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom has gone viral after sharing an emotional video in which she lamented being dumped by her Nigerian boyfriend for a Zimbabwean woman.

The woman, preciousonyegu1 took to her TikTok page to share this.

In the clip, she tearfully expressed her frustration and heartbreak, questioning what she described as growing competition between Zimbabwean and Nigerian women over relationships with Nigerian men abroad.

She said she could not understand why a Zimbabwean woman would take interest in her partner when, according to her, there are men from her own country to date.

Visibly distressed, she revealed that her boyfriend ended their relationship because he preferred the Zimbabwean lady, claiming he was attracted to her physical features. The Nigerian woman said she felt deeply hurt, adding that she is worried because she is approaching menopause and feels time is no longer on her side.

“Zimbabwean ladies, what’s this competition between you and Nigerian ladies over own prosperity, our own men. Don’t you have men in your country? My boyfriend left me in the UK over a Zimbabwean lady just because I don’t have big nyash and front… I’m really frustrated right now cause I’m nearing menopause. Leave our men alone.”
