I've discover a way....when am searching it will show scanning so i just use the phone to scan the back of the phone am to connect to and BOOM its connected

I also use a tecno L9 plus and experienced same thing sometimes ago.
What caused mine was that the SD card I inserted (which is my default storage location) was currupted.

Try removing ur SD card so that the storage location is the phone.

You can still uninstall and install xender again.
