CAF has been very useless and annoying lately.

A Moroccan referee has been appointed to take charge of Nigeria's third place game.
Infact, the entire officiating team consist of Moroccans, Algerians and Tunisians.

PoliticsRe: Over 140m Nigerians May Become Poorer By December - PriceWaterhouseCoopers(PwC) by Mexyz(m): 5:55am On Jan 08
Kemetian:
ACCORDING TO AI ChatGPT, PriceWaterhouseCoopers has often made mistakes and is UNRELIABLE for economic forecasts.

ACCORDING TO AI:

''....there have been public controversies or outcomes tied to PwC’s work:

📌 a. Audit and Assurance Controversies

PwC has faced fines and regulatory findings for audit shortfalls (e.g., inadequate audit work in some jurisdictions).

In Nigeria, controversial cases exist around forensic audits where PwC acknowledged limitations (e.g., limited access to data), leading observers to question the conclusions.''

✅ Yes, PwC forecasts have been questioned and sometimes proven inaccurate, especially long-term economic projections — but this is true of virtually all economic forecasters.

✅ PwC generally states its projections are based on models with assumptions, not guaranteed outcomes.

✅ Short-term forecasts may also miss actual outcomes due to unpredictable events.

Nigeria is unusually policy-sensitive

Nigeria’s economy can change direction very quickly due to policy shifts.

PwC could be wrong if, for example:

Fuel subsidy savings are actually redirected efficiently

FX reforms stabilize faster than expected

Local production substitutes imports more rapidly

Social intervention programmes scale properly

State governments outperform federal expectations

Nigeria is not a slow-moving OECD economy. It’s high-volatility, which makes short-term poverty forecasts especially fragile.

Nigeria’s informal economy distorts forecasts

Over 60% of Nigeria’s economy is informal.

Most models:

Handle formal wages well

Handle informal resilience badly

Historically, Nigerians:

Adjust consumption rapidly

Shift jobs and income streams

Create informal buffers during downturns

PwC models often underestimate adaptive behavior, which can blunt poverty outcomes relative to predictions.

Media headlines amplify the most pessimistic scenario

Guardian Nigeria (and most media) will highlight:

“PwC forecasts worsening poverty”

But PwC reports usually include:

Base case

Downside case

Upside case

The downside case is what becomes news.

So PwC might actually be saying:

“There is a significant risk of worsening poverty unless X, Y, Z happen.”

That nuance is lost in headlines.

Conclusion:

PwC’s forecast can be wrong because it is based on assumptions about policy continuity, inflation, and structural constraints — and Nigeria routinely violates those assumptions, sometimes for the better.

PwC models Nigeria as a system that behaves predictably. Nigeria rarely does.

Yeah, let's believe AI rather than real people who took out time to conduct their research taking note of all the economic policies and decisions of the present administration.

I really do not know how you guys grow conscience to still defend the uselessness of this administration despite what we are even going through currently.

SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Tunisia: AFCON 2025 (3 - 2) On 27th December 2025 by Mexyz(m): 1:19pm On Dec 28, 2025
drstranged:
I can put it to you that the Tunisians were very very poor in this match, probably their worst performance in recent times. Go and watch their match against Uganda and their world cup qualifiers you'd understand. Yet despite how poor the Tunisians were on the night they still managed to score 2 goals against Nigeria, and could have even scored more but for their poor finishing.
Yes there was significant improvement in Nigeria's performance compared to the world cup qualifiers (no one is doubting that) but the point is that they have no defence and goal keeper. No matter how good the strikers perform, they should pray they don't meet a more clinical side that would tear that defence to shreds. Tunisia should have easily won that game if they scored those chances they shamefully missed.
We are both saying the same thing, Tunisia has been good but were very bad yesterday while SE has been performing poorly for a while now while they played very well yesterday, so this is just a case of two teams turning the tables when not expected.
Tunisians would have won if they had converted their chances, yes and same can be said for the SE also because I know Victor missed many chances also same with the Ejuke guy.
At the end of the day, the team that converted their chances won and that's what football is all about and not what would have happened(assumptions)
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Tunisia: AFCON 2025 (3 - 2) On 27th December 2025 by Mexyz(m): 5:58am On Dec 28, 2025
drstranged:
They outplayed yet conceded 2 goals. Would have even conceded more than 5 goals but for the inexperience of the Tunisian strikers. You probably should go study how football works. It's not by passing aimlessly. Even 20mins lapse of concentration can cost a team. Ask Arsenal. Consistency in all departments is key.
And like I highlighted to you, we don't have a DEFENCE and GOALKEEPER. More clinical teams would have fried this Nigerian team even with your so called possession. Like someone else pointed out, the only way is to hope the strikers score more goals than the basket defence and goal keeper concedes. Go and learn how to properly read and analyze matches, that way you'd be able to predict a team's performance in the long term.
I don't need to argue with Nairaland 'sports analyst' to know whether a team played well or not especially for a game I watched myself.
Maybe you think the Tunisians are in Morroco to joke around.
At a time, you were leading a team that were 3 up in the first half of their first game in this Afcon compared to you that struggled to win your first match.
Any sincere person will tell you that it's been long we saw this kind of performance from the SE.

You are entitled to your opinion, so am I entitled to mine also.

Very unconvincing performance, especially the defence and goal keeper. If we played against more clinical sides, we'd have received like 7 or 8 goals in this match. These Tunisians were very poor in finishing
Which match did you watch that's unconvincing?

The super Eagles dominated the Tunisians and outplayed them.
They deserve the 3 points.

Emeskhalifa:
You didn't read all the message, did you? Or you read all but does not have idea how the pos business works

They investigate (track the funds) only to see that the last place the funds stopped was the POS agent, he was the last man the funds got to and they didn't transfer the money from there but demanded for cash from the pos which automatically translates to dead case.

I know you will say, arreste the POS agent, he's part of them, but the truth is, majority of POS agents are ignorant, because it is the last chain of financial services, it is filled with illiterates who do not know beyond how to operate POS, No training, no educating them on anything like money laundering, terrorism money or any security safety. The moment you show interest that you want to start POS business the fintechs and banks that issue pos out are just eager to hand you their device so you can immediately start and let them start earning commission from you. No training, no orientation, nothing. And owing to the large number of pos agents scattered in the country, if a transaction comes your way and you refuse to do it, 10 to 20 agents around your vicinity will do it.

There are so many cases that pos agents out of ignorance accepted such transfers and some of these agents are languishing in police custody some even in jail and till date, they can't provide those who they gave the cash to coz they genuinely do not know them.
Bros let me ask you a question
Which POS agent would have 10-20M in cash to give to kidnappers in this our country of now that won't raise suspicion from even the POS operator?
Are we really talking about those tattered looking kidnappers here or some well dressed individuals who would go to a POS operator to withdraw such huge amount of money.
Like I said up there, there's ABSOLUTELY no financial transactions that happens in this country that our regulators can't track if they want to work.
CrimeRe: Terrorists Using PoS To Collect Ransom – FG by Mexyz(m): 5:31am On Dec 24, 2025
Oga General, what exactly are you saying Sir?

No financial transactions that goes through our channels in Nigeria that can't be monitored or traced by all relevant regulators.
So you don't need to give this excuse, POS operators are registered entities that can be trace if you guys want to do so.

I served and stayed away from both female students o, corpers o, community girls o.

I just faced what I came to do and left.

I cant imagine getting in trouble related to sexual misconduct.. and how will my parent will feel about it? I grew up in devout christain home, so I always weigh the pros and cons of every actions as a youngie. I cant be the one to bring shame to my familly.

But truthfully, those women are only doing devils bidding. These students will boldly make suggestive comments and moves that will have you thinking you gotto take your chances and smash. A fellow male corper told me an Ss2 student that he was giving private lectures was disturbing him for my number...that she go like friend that uncle. Mind you, her papà na captain o...cos I served in the barrack. Not only her cos I was receiving strange calls from girls with young voices. I kept cutting as soon as they ask "what is your name" lol

The temptions plenty to talk.. but then, I heard some corpers were humping most of them. None of my biz anyway. I did what brought me there and left on the night of our POP

As much as I dislike Wike and his politics he is completely right this time around

But this is a fight he likely won't win, because his boss clearly lacks the balls to support him. Beyond the obvious face-off with the corrupt Nigerian military establishment, the issue is already turning into a north-versus-south conflict and the northerners have never really been comfortable with a man from the Niger Delta running Abuja, so there...
Oga there's nothing like the North vs South, it is Wike vs his new found friends.
