Dear Customer,

Your travel document (and supporting
documents, if applicable) are now ready for collection at the TLScontact Visa Application Centre, Lagos, Ikeja. Please carefully read the below instructions to retrieve your documents.

If you have made more than one application at the same time using the same email address, please wait until you have received email confirmations for each application before visiting this Visa Application Centre to collect your documents.
Collection in person

Please come with all of the following:

Your Original TLScontact Application Checklist
Your Original Photographic ID
Copy of Your Photographic ID
Copy of birth certificate (if collecting for your minor child) *
Collecting using a representative

It is not possible for a third party to collect the documents on behalf of an applicant, except in the following cases:

A parent collecting for a dependent child (where child is below 18);
Applicants 65 years and above (with already issued proxy form obtained during submission);
One member of a family group collecting the passports for the whole family, if applied together;
Government Ministry representatives and Business Network company representative, prior approved by the British High Commission and the company’s authorized signatories with a letter of introduction and a company ID card.
Please note that all third party collections above will require a means of national identification e.g. International Passport, National ID Card, Driver’s License.

IMPORTANT: If any of the above documents are missing, your representative will not be allowed to retrieve your travel document.

*In compliance with the Children Protection Act

You can check collection times and the centre address on the address and opening hours page. You are advised to make prompt arrangements to collect your documents from the Visa Application Centre as TLScontact is only able to hold them for a limited time. If you fail to collect your documents, they will be passed to UK Visas and Immigration, who will return them to the issuing authority.

Return by Courier

If you have already purchased the Courier service, your documents will be dispatched within 24 business hours from their receipt to be sent back to you by courier. You will receive a further email explaining the tracking process.

You can track the progress of your visa application by connecting to your account via GOV.UK.

This is quite disturbing. There must be a problem somewhere. I did my biometric capture on the 8th of July and I received my collection mail today. I haven't picked it up yet so I don't know the decision. That's about 4weeks and yours is 12? That's really bad.

For supporting documents, I added my six months bank statement, my employment contract and print out of my work leave page showing my unused 20-day annual leave.
I didn't get introduction letter from work but I wrote a cover letter.
In my cover letter, I explained that the other bulk deposits were from real estate investments. my employment contract stated that I have a leave allowance so in my cover letter i mentioned that I intend to collect my leave allowance and put it towards the trip and then add some of my own personal funds. I dont have lease and I mentioned that too; that I live rent free in my family house. I explained my true situation in very simple terms because I didnt really have much supporting documents.
I didn't make any reservation (hotel or flight) but i added in my cover letter that I didnt make such reservation cos i didnt want my card to be charged since i'm not sure when they will approve the visa.
I started following this page after I had done biometrics so I didnt know I was suppose to include an Itinerary, and explain deposits in details with proof, I had already concluded that If I got denied I would be better prepared next time.
Took two months and my intended travel date have passed but I'm grateful to have received a positive response.
Please someone should link me up to scheghen visa discussion page if there is one here so I can learn more there before applying.

I advise you send a paid mail to know the status. However, they kind of have a surge right now so that's what is slowing this down.
My personal experience: Did my biometrics on the 29th of June and received mail for passport dispatch/collection on the 1st of August. DHL delivered the following day.

Please I did my biometric on June 9 for tourist visa but uptill now i have not gotten any mail of passport collection What can be the delay

Please I just summited my application for a tourist Visa to uk but just discovered now that I put the date of travel on the application 14. Dec to come back 20 dec but on the hotel it’s was 14 November instead of dec and I also discovered that the hotel have been cancelled what are my chances of getting a visa
