This is a masterpiece I must say. Is was wonderfully and masterfully made. I like your little to no use of animations, because I've seen a lot of devs just spoil there work with too much unnecessary animations. The UI is really captivating. But the only thing I feel makes your work not so interesting is its lack of features. Like it's just too straightforward but asides That, you did a very wonderful job. 8/10 2 Likes 1 Share |

Back then when I was still in school, there was this particular place in our schools library where boys do gather at night to use the free Wi-Fi because our hostels were not equipped with WI-FI. One night like That as usual, I went to use the WI-FI and everywhere was a lil-bit crowded as usual. While I was busy enjoying the free WiFi, my lappy just disconnected from the network for no reason and refused to connect again ohh. I was really surprised and had to ask around if any other person was experiencing the same problem. To my greatest surprise, almost all man lappy don disconnect  after trying to connect again with no luck, me I decided to go to my hotel to go and sleep and come back the next night. On getting to my hotel,my roommates asked me why I came back earlier than usual. I explained my ordeal to them. It was then I found out that it was one yeye CS guy that was responsible. According to them, anytime he wants to use the WI-FI, he goes to hide in an isolated area in the library, then he uses his hacking abracadabra to disconnect everybody else from the network and when he's done with what he wants, he enables others to connect back. OMO as I hear am I weak , such wickedness.. I even heard the guy normally terrorises our schools cyber-cafe...Share your own experience... 1 Like |

It's not nice at all. Bro lemme give you small advice. If this was intended to be a forum just like nairaland (which I think it was), please don't go the nairaland way. The UI looks too primitive and old. Try to make the UI more eye catching, something that would make users want to come back to view more. As it stands now, alot of users here on nairaland are complaining about the uglyness of the site and it's horrible UI and few features. Try and make yours unique please. It's looking to nairalandish for my liking everything about it reminds me of nairaland and I'm currently looking for a better Nigerians forum to go pitch my tent. Although I commend your effort, I know it's not easy but I can not come and lie for you. |

The forum has tons of potential but it's like the founder is either not serious or just doesn't care anymore... I think this website needs a total overhauling. This forum has the potential to be the reddit and quora of Africa but a lot of things needs to be done in order to harness the full potential of the website.. The UI has remained the same for like eternity, it not well organised and I feel like it needs to expand its services and create more awareness beyond the shore's of this country.. 3 Likes |

I intend to start learning to code soon and this is how my learning path would look like. I intend to priorities learning and mastering this skill very,very,very,very well with lots of practicals before I even start to think of searching for jobs, even if it take's me five years to learn it before I start earning I don't care, I just want to be extremely good enough before I even start to think of jobs.. This is how my learning path would be like and the reasons I choose to follow such path will be stated too 1) pre programming everything I need to know before I code. This is actually a course I found on udemy and I thought it'll be great to learn all necessary phenomenons and terms I need to be accustomed to before even starting to learn any programming language.. 2) PYTHON yes, python I've had alot of developers like tenzengenetsu or what's that guys name sef, talking about how learning or starting with python as a intended web developer is a bad idea, but honestly I don't think it such even if I don't know jack yet about coding. Reason being that python is a very versatile language and I intend to go into other I.T fields like cyber-security and I think it would be great to acquire an in-dept understanding of python before any other language seff 3) after I finish mastering python, I going to take some courses on data structures and algorithms yes, you read me right  alot of people here on nairaland have advised some of us upcoming devs to get and in-dept understanding of DSA and ALGO as It would help in sharpening one's programming skill and make us an even better programmer(which is exactly what I want).there's one commenti I read sef on quora abi Na nairaland, where one remote working dev said he was hoping to graduate from his $2000 a month remote job to a 10-15k dollar one after going back to learn DSA and ALGO. So?  3) next up is full-stack web development [b] After getting a solid grip on data structures and algorithms, I'll proceed to learning full stack web development. 4) [b] cyber-security after becoming a fully fledged full-stack web developer and understanding every nook and cranny of the field, I'll rap it up with cyber-security... And if God, time and hopefully sakpa permit ohhhhh, I'll try learning embedded systems ..so help me GODPlease if you have any word of advice for me, feel free to advice me thanks and may GOD bless us all... |

Guys, please if you're reading this, please read it with a clear mind.. I've always loved programming and computers almost since day one. I am that type of person who always wants to know how stuff works and likes to build things... Infact the course I wanted to study 5 years ago when I graduated from sec school was computer science but only God knows what friends and the devil told my dad at that time that made him refused my to study the course. Instead, he made me study pharmacy against my own wish and to cut the long story short, I ended up dropping out of school at 300L because I couldn't continue with the course as it was too much for me.... Now I've been at home, ever since and he has been a thorn in my flesh telling me about how everything is my fault, and reminding me of how my mates would soon graduate and start riding big cars and getting married, throwing insults upon insults on me.. Honestly, I just can't count how many times I cried my self to stupor and considered suicide.. I'm living a very pity full life right now. My dad does not regard me anymore, my Mom has started losing faith in me, no body is willing to help me financially in things I pick interest. I've tried to talk to my mom countless times to help me get a laptop but it's always the I don't have money reply. I don't even want to start with my dad even right from day one, he hates seeing me using gadgets. Sometimes i just feel like the devil is using him to try prevent me from achieving my destiny. and to those that would say a should go and look for a job, for the past 2years I've been at home, I've worked 2 jobs my dad made me quit the first because I normally close late at night (9pm) and I had to quit the second because of the December travel we did last year...and it's not been easy looking for another one Please I'm begging anyone that is in a Good position to help me with even if its a used laptop no Matter the condition it's in, please. I'd like to Go into embedded systems development or web development... Please if you happen to have any laptop that you rarely use and don't mind Giving out, please help me. Even if I have to make minor repairs on it I don't mind... Please My cellular- 0-9-0-2-1-3-9-2-9-2-7 Feel free to call me or even a WhatsApps app video call, I don't mind at all... Hello guys  So guys I really really, love programming and it's not something I developed love for today, my love for computers and electronics was there even when I was still a kid. I remember intentionally ripping apart some of my dads functional radios and dvd's back then just to see what's inside and if I could make something else with some of the internal components, only to end up destroying them for nothing and receiving unforgettable beatings silly little me....I would have really loved to go into embedded systems programming or full-stack web development but I currently don't have a laptop and don't have any money to purchase any and seeing people posting on this section about their projects, portfolios, Java script this, back end that, rate my this, rate my that has really got me envious and happy for you guys because most of you are just living my dreams So, I just thought of posting some of the kind of projects I would have been working on, to build my portfolio if I were a web developer to help some of you guys that might need suggestions on portfolio worthy projects.. They have real world applications as some of you use to say so, here I go...1) a website that compares mobile phones or gadget specs to help users compare two or more devices so they make comparison and choose the one that's best for them to buy.... Just like [url]versus.com[/url] 2) a website for a fictitious company that specialises in customisation of mobile phones and laptops... I'm sure some of you might not understand this one but I'll explain... Let's say I want to order an iPhone online, but apple, the manufacturers only produces the phone in there colour variations but I personally want it in another colour,OS or any other customisable part, the said website would help the user customise everything customisable then the user can then order the phone from the same website... Same would go for laptops and PC's too what do you guys think ? |
