OP, I am sorry for the whole incident. To put the records straight anyway, the doctor prescribed what the recommended medicine is for malaria in 1st trimester- which is quinine. coartem isn't recommended for 1st trimester but if the doctor's experience with coartem is good, he may use it. Quinine, unfortunately has this dual property of being safe in malaria in first trimester and also causing miscarriage in some patients. My only concern is that at least, a malaria test of significant titre should have been relied on more. 2 Likes |

It's two sides of a coin. For the lady who has been 'conquered' by several men, it might be shameful while for the guy who has done it with a lot of ladies, he might consider a thing of pride. I believe in knowing where we are all coming from but deal with the answer based on who the person is now. My two cent. |
