MrBrownJay1: already answered the above... check below: Is it every government that allows for protest? So if we agree that every governmental law must be obeyed.....what is the essence of protest against a governmental law? What if the government decides not to listen to you? |

MrBrownJay1: do you have problem understanding English? ok read again the below A) THERE ARE NO LAWS AGAINST PEACEFUL PROTEST B) YOU CAN PROTEST ANY LAW YOU ARE AGAINST (SO LONG AS YOU DO IT PEACEFULLY) C) BUT IF YOU BREAK THE LAW THEN YOU WILL GET PROSECUTED FOR IT (REGARDLESS OF HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT THE LAW IN QUESTION) Lol....so you mean every system of government in the world accepts protest? If we agree that laws made by people in governments must be obeyed, why should we protest it? Why not just obey since we've agreed that they have the right to decide what is good and bad for all of us in earth? Will protesting not give others the idea that they can go against governmental laws and not follow it? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Praising The Wrong God And The Consequences by Michael547(m): 6:28pm On Jul 09, 2024 |
reallifegospel: Praising the wrong god and it's consequences: Sometimes we experience good things, good omens and good events but after a while they stop and issues begin to rampage like serpents seeking for ways and means to destroy one with venoms or in some cases succeed in destroying. Success is harder to survive than failure. That's why when you become successful, it's important to channel what is due to God to God and what is due to Caesar to Caesar. In the story of the rich fool, the rich guy became successful, his crop yields multipled by over a hundred folds. He made a lot of profits from his sales in the market and from being a multimillionaire, he became a billionaire. But in the moment of ecstasy, he praised the wrong god and it had fatal consequences. The sad tale of the rich fool is a bad example of what happens when you praise the wrong god for your success, progress, and prosperity. You don't have to become the next bad example.
You need to realise that the Lord God almighty is to be praised for all the good things that happen to you. These good things don't happen because you're brilliant, they don't happen because you're smart, they don't happen because you're super intelligent or because you're a master tactician, Good things happen because God allows them to happen to you. The mistake people make is they get carried away begin to give what belongs to God to another lesser god. When God says he's being robbed, he means that the praises and honour that are due to him are being given to something else or to some other god.
That god you're praising has no power of it's own, it has eyes but can't see, it has feet but can't walk, technically the scriptures tell us that these other gods you misdirect your praises to get their powers from GOD.
for example, when you buy a new house and a brand new car, many Folks will immediately begin to applaud the fact that it's because you have cash money at your disposal. The truth is; inspire of how much you've got at your disposal, it's by God's enablement that you're able to get things done. When you read and study it is very much possible to forget all you've read and studied except the divine grace of God enables you to remember what you've read and studied. So when you come out with flying colours, many Folks are quick to rain praises to the fact that you're gifted or intelligent or that you have a very high IQ. Your being gifted, intelligent or having a high IQ are enabled by God, so it's a misdirection to give your praises to your intellect, talentedness or IQ.
When you praise the right GOD, you keep the doors of blessings and goodness open and perpetual. If the rich guy in the story of the rich fool had channeled his praises in the right direction, he'd have lived to watch himself become a trillionaire. To survive success, don't give God's dues to Caesar, give God's dues to God and more and more success will become your portion.
Remain Blessed!

budaatum: The people who live in the society. What about the views of the minority in a given society, what should happen to their opinion? |

MrBrownJay1: come on, now you start asking very useless questions... a rapist has the right to disagree/protest being sent to jail for rape; a murderer has the right to disagree/protest being sent to jail for murder etc; there are NO lines that should be drawn for protesting, you just have to FOLLOW THE LAW!!!!
violence is NEVER needed for protest, when violence is involved thats when people get hurt/die BECAUSE YOU MUST FOLLOW THE LAW and violent protest is against the law. So if we must follow the law, what right do we now have to protest against laws that we MUST follow? If we have the right to protest against any law, it means that we don't have to follow any law. |

And anyone who disagrees can sit in their homes and not agree with society, or campaign to change the society or go out there and disagree with society and get labelled asshǒles and or be arrested for not confirming to the collective wish of the society. Who in the society? |

MrBrownJay1: ANYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO MAKE PEACEFUL PROTEST! in a country where everyone may be different (political/religion/race/gender etc), its normal that some will protest against any laws.... just like a husband disagrees sometimes with his wife; a brother disagrees with his siblings etc
you cant expect everyone to agree with a country's law... but these are the laws that were voted by that country therefore you must abide by these laws OR take the necessary steps to change these laws. Lol......so you also mean that all humans have the right to disagree with whatever law that people in governments come up with? So where do we draw the line? Why must the protest be peaceful? What if violence is needed like the one in kenya? |

budaatum: No, you can't force anyone to be selfish or unselfish. Its their fish, and they can choose how and to whom they sell their fish.
The same does not apply to me robbing you however, as most societies have decided robbing others is a crime for which there is a penalty.
Do note though that most societies have decided to take some of your fish and sell it however they want in the form of tax for the unselfish common good. But you can always mitigate this by getting a really good accountant or going to live on a remote island by your selfish self where the tax man can't get at your fish. So who has the right to decide in human society that armed robbery is bad? |

MrBrownJay1: ANY LAW CAN BE CHANGED SO LONG AS ITS BACKED BY THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE WHO VOTE THESE LAWS (aka the senate)... its called democracy... and if you have a valid reason why you believe a law should be changed then you should contact your local gov man and take the necessary steps to see if a bill for a new law can get to the senate for voting. Lol....do you mean that democracy is the right system of government and that every other system of government is wrong? Is it only democratic government that we have in the world? |

budaatum: Of course others have the right to their own opinion!
I'm in fact currently trying to convince Bemeruca of this very same fact, but he thinks he must tell LGBT not to LGBT as if they are LGBTing up his ass! Thanks for agreeing.....so whether a person is selfish or not is actually a personal decision. We can't force others to accept that been selfish is bad or been unselfish is actually good. Do you agree? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If God Is Love, Then Why Hate Esau? by Michael547(m): 5:50pm On Jul 09, 2024 |
MrBrownJay1: ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! there are many laws around the world that i am against too BUT, when in these countries, i have to follow their laws regardless of how i feel about these laws, because these laws were put in place to make sure that humans (In whatever country) live happily together IN THEIR COUNTRY. so what is needed for the Saudis to live happily in Saudi Arabia, may not be the same that is needed for the Canadians to live happily in Canada.
people have the right to A) believe that these laws are wrong or B) to protest these laws and hopefully make the country change these laws, but until these laws are changed, these protesters need to FOLLOW THE LAW regardless of how they feel about it. Lol....if we agree that the people in power have the right to determine what is good and bad for all humans on earth, then why should we outside power protest against whatever they come up with as laws? |

budaatum: Since you call it "what I enjoy", it is for you to know the essence of you enjoying what you enjoy and tell us so we may know why you enjoy what you enjoy.
We are after all not mind readers who can tell you why you enjoy what you enjoy.
Are you suggesting that an armed robber should enjoy at the expense of those they arm rob?
You sell cars. Should I be allowed to arm rob you, which might include killing you in the process, and enjoy the cars I rob from you?
If so, kindly tell me where you store your cars so I can rob you. I'd appreciate if you first service the cars so I can really enjoy them, and please leave the keys in the ignition so I don't need to rob you of your life too so that you can tell us if you enjoyed being robbed by me and should be allowed to rob you in future or not, because I will return to rob you again if you enjoyed being robbed
Ten cars please. I will be coming to rob you with my 10 cousins. Who has the right to determine that been an armed robber is wrong? |

MrBrownJay1: YES!!!!! because there are humans on earth who want to freely rape women and children; others want to freely beat and sometimes even kill children; other want to freely have sex with animals; others want to kidnap people and kill them if a ransom is not handed to them; others want to drive without a license and kill people on the roads; some humans want to kill other for money rituals etc
if the LAW of any country doesnt consider the above actions a crime, who will then stop these people from doing these evil acts? it sure aint your invisible imaginary god that will punish these evil criminals, is it?! Do you then agree that every laws set up by human governments all over the world is right and that people who protest against any of the laws set up by human governments are wrong? |

Apart from the fact their dead body will polute the communal water, the reason they jump off the bridge might be one that affects one too, or that one can unselfishly resolve for others if one can and wants to, and that's worth being concerned about, I'd think.
