Emusan: If it's so, then no need for him to came up with the second statement. What second statement? Somebody Said that Jesus was both Almighty God and man on earth and you say he made two statements. Is he saying Jesus being a man invalidate him being the Almighty God on earth? Oga you are the one jumping into conclusion of a discussion that you are not following. |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 2:06pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: You see how it sweet as you are asking your questions and I'm replying accordingly but when I ask my own don't turn your blind eyes and pretend you didn't see it.
It's wrong as it make it confusing as if They are THREE DIFFERENT GODS, reason why you used DISTINCT GODS(plural) earlier.
The OT described God as someone who sit in heaven but also can be on earth or any other part in the universe, the OT also talks about plurality of ONE GOD and also The OT says God CREATED everything ALL BY HIMSELF.
It's not but the idea that God can manifest in many ways were stated in the OT.
Jesus only became SON on earth which means Jesus was never a SON in heaven.
Can you provide the scripture where Jesus was given the TITLE 'SON' IN HEAVEN? Jesus himself Said in John 12:49 that his 'father' sent him to the earth. So why would Jesus obey such a command and refer to God as father if he himself was not a son in heaven before coming to the earth? 1 cor 15:28 that you quoted earlier clearly states what Jesus would do in heaven and refers to him as a 'son' handing over the kingdom to 'God' and 'father'. Did Jesus ever deny himself being a son in heaven? So how are we to understand the plurality of the one God spoken of in the old testament? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:47pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: You're the confused one here!
Did he make any post after that to clarify or you asked him what he meant by that?
So you don't conclude on something until you get clarification on the position of the person.
Trinity is very simple to understand, that you are looking for it to be false is where the problem lies. Oga that statement is direct and clear. Why must there always be an hidden meaning in every of you guys statement? So you that claim that Jesus was not an Almighty God on earth still have an hidden message in that statement? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:41pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: My advice is always put on your thinking cap when reading a post not just to rush and reply, if you don't understand the point nothing wrong in saying 'please clarify what you mean here or there'.
My usage of God is that it applies to the THREE not the way you put it as "God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit"
You're still asking the same question using different format.
The answer is in the screenshot you provided before check it again. So if the word God applies to the three, why is the statement 'God the son' and 'God the holy spirit' wrong? Lol...oga how does the old testament describe God? Are you insinuating that God the Father, the Son and holy spirit is not revealed in the old testament? You have still not told me how the father has a higher rank in heaven oo. If he does not have, how come Jesus is given the title 'son' in heaven? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:32pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: He said this: "Since Jesus is both God and man, the father is greater than him as a man. The father is not in the flesh, so it does not apply to him."
If you don't understand what he said, why can't you ask him for further clarification instead of jumping into conclusion on what he didn't say?
That's why your screenshot is different from what you said before. Oga you are confused....somebody said Jesus was both Almighty God and man while on earth and you are still defending the person. Are you guys not funny? Where does someone start understanding this your trinity from? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:29pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: The answer was already in the second screenshot you provided in full, check and stop going backward. Ok....in your screenshot you agreed that there Is God the Father, the Son and holy Spirit(the son and holy spirit are not referred to as God in heaven) according to you. You also quoted 1 cor 15:28 that says that Jesus would hand over to the father that 'God may be all in all'. Does that mean that the son and the Holy Spirit would no longer be identified? And that we would only have the father? |

Emusan: You're still repeating this nonsense after you have been provided with Phil 2:7 Oga that question was not directed at you....it is directed at your fellow Trinitarians, Mr truthhurts and mr steep, who have been surprisingly contradicting your own understanding of the trinity saying that Jesus was Almighty God on earth. |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:13pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: I've modified my post read it again.
With that I never used the phrase "...in heaven"
Just admit you inserted that by yourself. Ok oo mr Modifier......what is the structure of the Trinity in heaven now? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:10pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
TruthHurts1: When Jesus talks about the Only True God, He includes Himself in the definition of that God.
Jesus does not have an existence outside of God. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh:
John 1:1-4
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
That is why Jesus said that the Son must be honoured in the same way that the Father is to be honoured:
That all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father" John 5:23. How come the only Almighty true God who is Jesus says that the father is greater than him in John 14:28. And that he does not know the hour of Judgment in Matt 24:36? |

Emusan: Provide the full screenshot of that my post
Let's if lack of simple comprehension is not in play here. Here is the full screenshot....where did you deny the presence of a 'son' in heaven?
|
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 1:01pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: So where did you see "...in heaven" from?
If you answer this first we will continue. Oga the pics below is my question about the structure of the Trinity in heaven before Jesus came to the earth and after he went back to heaven. Did you deny that there was no 'Son' in heaven? Or are you insinuating that the 'son' here does not refer to Jesus? My question remains: So before Jesus came to the earth, how did the father have a greater rank? If the father did not have a greater rank while Jesus was in heaven, why is he given the title 'son'?
|
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 12:50pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: Block head that didn't answer my question.
Did I say Jesus became a Son on earth or not?
What does that tell you? You said Jesus became a son on earth. That is why you agree that the Father has a greater rank. So before Jesus came to the earth, how did the father have a greater rank? If the father did not have a greater rank while Jesus was in heaven, why is Jesus given the title 'son' in heaven? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 12:45pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: Block head!
Did I say Jesus ONLY BECAME A SON on Earth?
What does this tell you? You must be very daft.....is the below screenshot not the reason you said that the father was greater in rank than the son? So how did Jesus became a son in heaven?
|

capnies: THANK YOU FOR YOUR WISDOM. GOD CREATED JESUS READ PROVERB 8:22-26
GOD IS HIGHER THAN JESUS READ 1 CORINTHIANS 11:3 IT SAYS THE HEAD OF CHRIST IS GOD Don't mind these confused Trinitarians trying to confuse me. They are nit even in agreement on the subject both mr Emusan and Mr Steep. The two of them are just contradicting themselves. |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 12:41pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: Here is the verse again and tell me how you came up with your question.
"Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form" Oga you have claimed that the father and son is equal. And that the father is greater than the son in rank when the son came to the earth. You have also claimed that the son on earth was not the Almighty God. Now if the son is equal the father while he was in heaven, why does John 3:16 and John 12:49 say that the he was sent to do the things on earth which he did. On what authority did the father send him if they were equals in heaven? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 12:33pm On Mar 21, 2024 |

Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 12:28pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: Your lack of simple comprehension is second to none.
Read the verse I provided again. 😆 So Jesus was lying in John 12:49 and John 3:16 that the Father sent him to the earth to die abi? So it was actually his decision? OK now I understand. Jesus was a liar according to you. |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 12:24pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: That's not your question, stop lying.
Person is different from God
And you even used GODS(plural), it's evident you're the one who lack simple comprehension in English.
They are SEPARATE person.
So what is your point? Ok oo.....if the father is separate from the son son in heaven, How come we only have GOD the Father, and not God the son and God the holy spirit in heaven? I thought the Trinity teaches that these three combine to even form the word 'GOD'. |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 12:21pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: You can only see the fight within your brain.
Phil 2:7 answered your question "Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form" So did Jesus make that decision himself or he was told to do so by the Father in heaven? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 12:14pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: You couldn't even provide evidence where you got DISTINCT GODS(plural) from.
I said they are not DISTINCT God's(plural) as you put it.
Never dodge my question again because if not you'd have seen my point. Na English dey confuse you.....do you agree that the father and son are separate persons? That is my question. |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 12:12pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Steep: when Jesus was on earth he limited himself to his humanity Jesus had submitted himself as servant, so some restrictions was on him as he was born in human form.
Philippians 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Since he limited himself to his humanity, why do you still claim that he was the Almighty God while on earth? Someone that told you that the father was greater than him and that he does not know the hour of Judgement. |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 12:10pm On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: Jesus never claimed to be Almighty God on earth, scriptures only tells us Who He was before coming to earth. Lol 😆.....e be like say you and Mr Steep go soon fight. Because the two of una wan confuse me. So if Jesus was not the Almighty God on earth but was the Almighty God in heaven, How come he said in John 5:19 that he cannot do anything except the one that he sees his father doing? |

Emusan: They were never DISTINCT GODS
PROVIDE YOUR EVIDENCE where you read it from that They were said to be DISTINCT GODS. Don't dodge this and pretend you don't see it.
I don't know where you see EVERYTHING IN HEAVEN INCLUDING THE ANGELS NOW MAKE UP THE ONE ALMIGHTY GOD.
Provide where you got that from. So is the son and Father the same person? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 11:50am On Mar 21, 2024 |
Emusan: That means you don't pay attention to my post. Oga I have gone through your post and I have not seen where you explained the rank difference between the father and the son. You have given me a human analogy which I used, You said it cannot work that way. Oya how is the father greater than the son in rank? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jesus Calls The Father " The Only True God" Does That Mean Jesus Is Not God? by Michael547(m): 11:44am On Mar 21, 2024 |
Steep: Since Jesus is both God and man, the father is greater than him as a man. The father is not in the flesh, so it does not apply to him. What of the other quality of being an Almighty God while on earth? Was there a deficiency in the Almightiness? Why did he not know the hour of judgment? |
