When it comes to military training, it’s almost brutal everywhere on earth..

I watched a video clip of USA training their Soldiers! Omo, I open mouth!

Some soldiers do die during training self..

They die from the tough training, not from being maltreated by their trainers

Car Talk / Re: Bought A Lemon And Now I Want To Use It For A Project Car by michaelwilli(m): 7:00am On Jun 20, 2023

Hehe. Thank you man.

Car is running very well now. The engine is a JDM engine, and so has a bit more hp than the usual 1zz fe engine. The remaining issues I want to sort out with the car aren't major, stuff like getting very bright bulbs, doing a thorough paint job and panelbeating, etc. I tinted the car not too long ago because of sun for madam, and it's given the car a different and cozy feel.

All in all, money well spent.

Thanks sir. Glad to know you are finally enjoying the vehicle.

Changing the transmission oil on high mileage cars is not a good thing to do. The debris in the oil helps the clutches engage as it provides some level of friction. Draining the oil removes the particles and makes it harder for the clutch to engage.

Your best bet is buying a new transmission. Attempting to repair what you have now, will just be a waste of money.

Your mistake was pricing her quite low for her service. Now she expects you to repay the favour for her dad. You don't know if she also used her own money to augment the food for your mom. Even if you are the one taking care of her, you are doing that willingly.

maaji:
I work with the national Primary health Care development agency. I am part of the management support team. Prior to any campaign on polio vaccine, circulars and letters are distributed to all schools so as to be aware of upcoming campaigns and be duely notified. Each school authority is to allow children for mass vaccination. It is a MUST for each school to allow that to happen or will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Now let me break it down. In vaccination, the main aim is to reach as more children as possible included churches, mosques, schools, Islamic school and were children gathers. Children from 0 to 59 months. We have 2 major forms of vaccination

House to house
Special teams

The house to house teams visit each household to vaccinate children. Those teams also go to school and do mass vaccination

Now to the issue of parents before any campaign a mandatory and compulsory visit will be made to the authorities including the local government chairman, councillor and all district heads both chiefs and kings

Mobilisation funds will be made available for dissemination of information whether through radio or tv stations will be made to inform parents of oncoming polio vaccination.

The parents already know that thier children will be vaccinated by trusted and well known health worker.

Pardon mu epistly

It is a must......

Ontop another person pikin, must......, go and forcefully vacinnate them in the north na. as u no get sense. Isn't the north more ravaged with polio and meningitis?

Health / Re: Having A Heart Problem At The Age Of 28.. I Need Help And Advice by michaelwilli(m): 9:07pm On Jan 13, 2022
Jackandrose:
Good day nairalanders

i've been living under the fear of having a heart problem for more than five years, but my people refused that i should go for scan probably because of fear that it might be true, and there won't be money to care/treat it..

Even me, i'm afraid to go for scan, because the moment it is comfirmed to me, i don't kno if i would be able to live with it..

i can't run nor do hard work, my pulse is always high and sometimes my breathing stop totally.. I've fainted multiple times, and i've been living under depression for so long..

Now, this symptoms is increasing on daily basis, but my people dosn't want me to go for scan.. Is like they already knows the result will turn out positive.

But what if i go for scan an the result shows that i have a heart probem, how will i be able to live with it, knowing fully very well that we don't have the money to cure it..

I don't kno what to do nairalanders, i need advice..

You should go for a test so you don't drop dead suddenly. I myself have been managing a heart problem and it hasn't cost me so much money. The earlier it is detected and treated, the better it is for you.

Take a bold step and get proper diagnosis, God will provide the resources you need to nurture your body back to good health. Wish you all the best.

Pretty much none of these quotes say that the states will never have compulsory COVID-19 vaccination, they just say that the states aren't planning it right now. I hope they and all states eventually make the vaccine compulsory, it's the only way to keep everyone safe.
Why didn't they share the palliatives then? Now they suddenly care about people's safety.

Phones / Re: Questionable Quality Of Xiaomi Phones Sold In Nigeria by michaelwilli(m): 3:20pm On May 24, 2021
RuneKingThor:

Lmao. Why would you say they deliberately ship defective phones to Nigeria. A brand like Xiaomi that depends on word of mouth and don't do aggressive marketing. Every positive feedback means a lot to them. A few phones among a thousand sold being defective is a normal thing, I've had my fair share of it when I was using infinix. My hot 4 lite earpiece just suddenly went dead, next thing charging port, speakers, etc. And it happend in under two weeks of being newly purchased. When I went to fix it I was told it was board issue. I repaired it and continued using it till hot 6 came out, I bought it and a few months while using it, the screen went dead like completely dead. Didn't fall or anything.

So my point is a few defective phones is not a new thing and it's more common than you think. The reason why you hear about It more is that Xiaomi is not too keen on having repair shops littered everywhere. Third party repair shop is their way to go here.

I wouldn't underestimate the possible callousness of any entity. Why I'm a bit skeptical is I haven't heard this same complain from anyone who bought their phones on aliexpress. Although, what I heard is that the 9 series had a lot of defect. but 10 and above are very durable

Phones / Questionable Quality Of Xiaomi Phones Sold In Nigeria by michaelwilli(m): 8:44am On May 24, 2021
I have heard from a couple people that Xiaomi phones sold in Nigeria are of terrible quality. Had a case of a redmi note 7 having board problems, another having software issues, a redmi note 10 with some parts of the screen not touching, just a few weeks after purchase. Does any one else have this kind of experience with a xiaomi phone bought in Nigeria?

I bought my redmi note 5 pro from aliexpress, still using it, two years and counting, never had issues with it.
