First off, they are better equipped and professional. I have never heard a military man harassed a civilian for wearing camouflage or not giving way to them/him.

The Afghanistan terrain is far more fierce than whatever obtains in the north east. And it is a foreign country where most hate America.

You don't expect success to be swift. Even Russia had to run away from Afghanistan.

Nigeria on the other hand is not fighting terrorism in a foreign land.
It shouldn't be taking this much time to conclude.

Whether home or away, Nigeria has recorded for successes away from home than the US in recent times, case study include Sierria Leone and Liberia. For the US, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq were utter failures. Even if the terrain is very difficult which I agree with, how about all the technology they pack? Wasn't it useful there?
