Stop seeking foreign assistance, Balarabe, Falae tell Buhari About 14 political parties from the opposition, under the aegis of Credible Alternative Alliance, on Thursday in Abuja stated that “it is it too early” for the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to be relying on foreign countries for support and direction on certain policy issues pertaining to governance. The organisation, which also includes 13 civil society organisations, restated their resolve to provide a credible opposition to the All Progressives Congress. The parties under the umbrella of CAA include the Social Democratic Party, Peoples Redemption Party, Fresh Democratic Party, Nigeria Advance Party, Peoples Salvation Party, Change Advocacy Party, United National Party for Development, Peoples Progressive Party and Action Party of Nigeria. A former Governor of the old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa; elder statesman, Dr. Tunji Braitwaite; and former Minister of Finance, Chief Olu Falae, expressed these feelings at a press briefing read by the National Coordinator of CAA, Dr. Damian Ogbonna, on Thursday in Abuja. According to them, while they wish the new administration well, “its ability and readiness to meaningfully govern Nigeria remain in doubt.” The parties said, “We note that APC appears to want to cultivate and rely too much on the support of foreign governments. This is not good for the sovereignty of our nation. CAA calls upon APC to rely less on foreign support. “The party should do more to cultivate domestic support from political parties in the country. You cannot govern effectively when you do so alone; it s not sustainable. “Both the President and other leaders of APC have been in government for decades to warrant knowing exactly what they want to do and how they want to do it. Even those of us here at CAA, with less than a year into our formation, do have bold and visionary plan upon which we predicate our drive to govern Nigeria.” http://www.punchng.com/news/stop-seeking-foreign-assistance-balarabe-falae-tell-buhari/ |
Two days ago, the photo above went viral on Nigerian social media. It was supposedly a photo of the son of Nigeria's new president, Mohammadu Buhari, Yusuf Buhari with his girlfriend. They may have striking resemblance but that is not Yusuf. The real person wrote in to LIB. Read below..."My name is Muhammad Kabir Hadejia and I need your help. There's a picture of myself and my sisterthat has gone viral on the internet with people claiming it is Yusuf Buhari, the son of the president. I see news pages on Facebook and twitter spreading the false news. I strongly deny it and would like you to help me spread the news that that picture is me and not Yusuf Buhari. I take this issue very dangerous to my safety and hopefully you will help me. Attached are my pictures so you can compare to confirm

hmn..............just saw ur post now and luckily i ran across two of my geology friend doing their masters at Unilorin......These are there opinion; Olusegun: It is not possible... Geology involves much of chemistry as well. [6:20PM, 5/11/2015] To my own opinion! [6:20PM, 5/11/2015] : May be Geophysics is advisable for d guy sha according to the second guy, he said the same to me, Nope. He cnt study geology too. He nids math eng physics and chemistry. My only advise he shld go for physics/geophysics option. But all stil boils down to the four o'level subject. Its rare to see any science course that will take a deficiency in chemistry my own view as a biochem graduate, u can not escape chemistry in any biological or physical science dept in any uni........except by year two . u can try physics, geophysics (in oau and lautech), engineering. physics (also available at oau), statistics, computer science and Bsc. Mathematics. These are myriads of courses u may not do chemistry pass year 1(100level). All d best......... |

Gunmen on Friday evening abducted a lecturer of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Dr. Femi Omisore, on his way to attend a funeral at Oye Ekiti in Ekiti State. Our correspondent gathered on Sunday that Omisore, a lecturer at the Department of Environmental Design Management of OAU, was abducted in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, on his way to attend the ceremony. His captors, who were said to be armed with guns, were said to have trailed him for a while and his driver tried all he could to avoid being overtaken by the hoodlums. On catching up with him, the hoodlums were said to have killed the driver out of anger and forced Omisore out of his car before he was taken away to an unknown place. The gunmen, it was farther gathered, fired several shots at the petrol tank of the lecturer’s car and ensured that the car caught fire before they left the scene. The Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, OAU chapter, Dr. Caleb Aborisade, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on the telephone. Aborisade said, “According to the information I gathered from his family, Dr. Femi Omisore was kidnapped on Friday evening. He was going for a funeral ceremony in Oye Ekiti. “I learnt that a member of his department was burying his father in Oye Ekiti and he was traveling there when he was kidnapped. “The kidnappers use his telephone to call his wife this morning ( Sunday) and they demanded N70 million ransom. “We are not politicians, we are running our union with stipends from our members and where do they expect us to get such amount.” He appealed to Omsiore’s abductor to release the lecturer, saying the family was not rich and could not afford to pay such a huge amount of money. The abduction was also confirmed to our correspondent on the telephone by the Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree chapter, Mr. Dotun Omisore, who is a nephew of the abducted lecturer. The ASUP chairman expressed concern at the way lecturers and members of their families were becoming targets of abduction. http://www.punchng.com/news/gunmen-abduct-oau-lecturer-in-ekiti-kill-driver/ |

NAWA OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.............LIKE SOMEONE SAID "MANY GIRLS FEW WIVES" I have few contributions 1. THAT U ARE HELPING someone doesn't MAKE U A SLAVE 2. Those shouting, i would run away should have a rethink. what if the kitchen had been used for long (cos that kitchen looks very much like a house where no one is staying), when u leave ur room for months and the door is closed, obviously........it would gather dirts overtime. So, running away is very funny to me? u know what u would meet in the next guy u are running to? NO ONE IS PERFECT....... 3. For those insinuating that. a particular girl that said she can clean it is desperate, i think u might not be right.......so if you like a guy so much, perfect in many ways? what would stop u from making him sees reason why u deserved to be his wife (of a fact, 90% of women/girls are made to do things either by pretending or being real to attract a guy. women making up is about looking good for themselves and for someone to admire them). Thus, u are to complement each other, a very intelligent dude might not be organize in keeping neat, so he definitely needs someone that would be there for him and this is in no way, slavery. Lastly, the Op said "your guy" and not "a guy".... so we all know, for something to be urs, there must have been some level of closeness and a girl must have seen one or two qualities before accepting to date at the first instance, so why must u run......the best a good lady should have done is to demand for an explanation of what happened to such kitchen? after wc she can talk to the guy this is so bad of u......the worst is to ask him to clean it together. When, a girl comes to ur place and helps tidy up ur littered jeans and books, dat doesn't make her desperate ok... my 2cent..... |
SunkyAde:U want to market 1000naira e book abi? talking as if you have earned 200k before... Shake my head! Real bizness men don get this luxury of time to be inviting people to watsapp to show them how to earn extra income. GET THE Bleep OUT OF THIS THREAD AND LET THE REAL MEN CONTRIBUTE. |
CHAI! GOD! BUT I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO LONGER GOOD JOBS IN THIS COUNTRY. Somebody must have been telling me the wrong thing since. From school, to Nysc camp, mosque and churches........the stories are the same... Radios jingles and adverts are all about self employment.......yet my mates that i had better grades than, are earning this much ![]() Time to dust my cv and head for the job market cos if i can get 200k per month, i can hire two other ones that would work for me and pay them 50k each.......... OH NIGERIA MY BELOVED COUNTRY, WHY ARE SOME SET OF PEOPLE ONLY ENJOYING THE BETTER BETTER THING IN YOU?? WHY GOD WHY![]() |
thanks for the contribution but this part that u said " INFORMATION IS WEALTH/POWER If you dont like my information, Simply ignore it PLEASE. Am not Teaching/Tutoring you for free. If you want free information, i have listed some sites above where you can buy/Import from." Hmn............nawa ooo.........u still want ur share from dis 30k be that ooo? that was why i was running away from e-book from the world go cos dey end up reaping people off their little effort....... thanks anyway |
TheHood:I saw it joor oga, which kind yeye. predicted list is dat? feeding people with what you think instead of what it is.......oga am not in anyway coming up with anything, just saying its not reliable and shouldn't in anyway end up on d frontpage cos many folks may start making irrelevant moves based on what they saw here. |
Am a graduate student that has been able to gather 30k from little savings of helping colleagues,in doing class assignments as well as left over of the little stipends parent sends. NOW, am planning to step my game up by looking for a service providing or real time bizness that can help enlarge my coast. MY THOUGHTS Thinking of designing a quality customized notebook that would be irrestitible for undergraduates. Thinking on muslim girls apparels, like scarf hijabs cos of muslim girls population on campus.. i need ur advice pls or any other suggestion on campus and off campus. (PLS EBOOK SELLERS KEEP OFF FROM THIS THREAD SAME WITH ONLINE BIZ ADVERTISERS, COS AM NOT CUT FOR THAT) Thanks in anticipation I also welcome success story from those who started small and are growing. |
rokiatu:Haba! Why is it on earth that of all things in the world,it was an innocent woman you chose to drag in the mud.......the guy was only joking now, everyone here knws u more with your "Ukwu" as a selling point and most choose to joke with it,just like Orijin101 with weed, temitemi with GEJ whala and Kingtom with juju... This is outrightly uncalled for, i can't just fathom this at all.........as in, its just too much, how would u feel, if someone had referred to your mother in such manner... What is bad is bad........ this is really bad of u. |
Pls lalastica seun And others that matters in getting informations to the front page. To start with the information given by Op is totally misleading and Outrightly not reliable, this may affect a lot of young folks, who out of joy would swiftly go and change the choice of their school, which may in turn be something totally different from what most of this educational consults are anticipating. FLAWS IN THE WRITEUP/DRAFTED POINTS 1.It is important to note that what is written up there is not a true reflection of what the UNIVERSITIES might consider as it is written by some elements just to gain traffic to their educational site. e.g myschool and the rest. 2.Taking for instance, UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN has several other courses that are very competitive that might not accept 180, because the writer only come up with an indices that is even. different from that of last year. e.g UNILORIN CUT OFF MARKS VARIES FROM YEAR TO YEAR, the University has not come up with any cut off marks, which only come out when the post utme form is out, same with most schools. 3. Any applicant that likes FUNNAB now and saw 180. as the cut off may quickly go and change from schools like LASU or OOU to FUNNAB.This same nonsense caused by fake news affected a lot of guys last year when FUNNAB came out with 200 as cut mark 4. In the same vein School like EKSU still accepted 180 for the past two years now and even allow those who didn't choose the school to come for this postutme, an aspirant may start feeling somehow after seeing this. same with AAUA which can be very funny as they sometimes change the cut off marks to a very high one. Lastly, my point is that post like these are better left in the sections as the source is not reliable, only universities come up with their respective cut off marks when the post utme form is out through news feed and advert, any permutation or prediction can be very costly, even a University Registrar may never know what the cut off marks may look like until decision is made and ratified by the appropriate bodies, having taken into considerations some certain factors. I hope this helps to avert the future reoccurrence of pushing an incredible news like this to the frontpage, as we can see, op even copied and paste the stuff. NAIRALAND IS THE ONLY NEWS SOURCE TO SOME FOLKS, HENCE THIS COULD BE MISLEADING. Thanks. |

AIT: Stay within your assigned roles, Buhari tells aides President-elect, Maj. Gen. Mohammadu Buhari(retd.), has read the riot act to his personal aides asking everyone to confine himself or herself to officially assigned roles. Buhari said this in a statement on his behalf by Mallam Garba Shehu, the Director of Media and Publicity of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, in Abuja, on Wednesday. The retired General directed that all matters relating to the dealings with the media should be left to his official media team. According to the statement, the President-elect instructed all his staff, including the personnel attached directly to him, to steer clear of all dealings with the media. Shehu said Buhari aligned himself with the pronouncement of his party, the APC, which had earlier expressed disagreement with the temporary barring of the African Independent Television from covering his media affairs. Buhari was quoted as saying, “I would like everyone to henceforth stay within his or her defined area of responsibility.” The president-elect added that his media team should be left to deal with their media colleagues as they best knew how. The statement added that Buhari was neither consulted nor informed about the AIT’s barring, and only became aware of the matter after the public uproar it generated. “The time of change has come,” he said, “and we must avoid making the same mistakes that the outgoing government made.” This is even as the Peoples Democratic Party caucus in the House of Representatives expressed concern over the initial barring of AIT by Buhari’s team. The Mulikat Akande-led caucus in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday, said it was deeply concerned about the far reaching implications of the action, especially in a democratic setting. According to the caucus, the ban negates democratic ideals, including freedom of expression, and the holding of divergent opinions. |

The craziness in Kat reveals the part of Ritchie he never knew existed, the more annoying she gets the more self realizing it is for Ritchie which leave him to question his choice of women.
