My 2008 Infiniti g35 is sluggish in both drive and reverse. After scan, I got a P1564 error message pointing to ASCD steering switch. What’s this switch, where is it located?

Does the car run fine with no indicator display?

If yes, probably a burnt bulb.

If no, check for a burnt AT fuse in the IPDM housing behind the battery.

Yes, the car runs fine. May I add that the display unit does not come on as well but the radio, Bluetooth and other function works well.

After another scan with another machine, I got a U1000 error message.

Please help. My Infiniti g35 would not display the PRND light on the dashboard but gear engages. After scanning, it gave me error U0101 - Lost communication with TCM

Car won’t start. Park light on the dashboard will not even show. I was told it’s the TCM/Valve body. One said it’s the Brainbox.

Try removing your back seat and check if you notice any leak there

My Infiniti G35 returned with P0448 error for EVAP control valve shorted. Can it be responsible for the car vomiting fuel when tank is being fueled at the pump?

Is it same thing as VVT solenoid?

Check your petrol cover and see if the o-ring is worn out. You may need to replace is. This is the most basic fix for that SES light

I wanted to fill my tank over the weekend and then I realized fuel was leaking from somewhere around the tank. I guess that’s the reason for the P0455 error.

Philadelphia:
I had my Service Engine Soon light come on yesterday, so I took it to my mech for scanning. The code was P0455 and it showed my petrol tank cap wasn’t properly covered. So, I covered it and the light went off ASAP.
Check if your petrol tank cap is covered properly. If you get to a fuel station, ensure you cover your tank yourself and make sure it clicks well.

For that P0021 code, I’m suspecting your camshaft needs to be serviced or changed. If your camshaft is bad, your car will drag and the check engine light will come on.

Confirm if your check engine light and service engine soon light are on.

Your OCV valve needs attention. And your Evap system needs to be checked. There's a large leak on the system.

Hi Mr Gazzuzz,

I drive a Camry 02/03

The steering is stiff both when I accelerate and when I engage the brake.

I have changed the power steering pump twice but to no avail

The rack doesn’t leak and I have enough steering fluid

What can be wrong?

Also, whenever I enter into a bump no matter how small provided I am speeding, the car always swerve slightly upon entering the bump or pot hole

I was advised to change shocks and I did but to no avail as well

Kindly assist on the two issues
