PoliticsRe: Bode George Wins African Leadership Award by midetinz(m): 7:46pm On Dec 06, 2012
lekanolas: The All Africa Students Union (AASU) has picked former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George as the winner of its 15th edition of the Africa Leadership award.

George’s nomination was based on recommendations by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the ratification by the executive council of AASU.

Disclosing this was the Nigerian representative at AASU and Project Co-ordinator of the award,

Olufemi Lawson, who said that George was selected from among the many nominees for the 2012 award based on his commitment to youth development and his defence of democratic institutions.

The award would be conferred on him on December 12, during which a distinguished leadership lecture would be delivered.

AASU is a regional students organisation, headquartered in Accra, Ghana with over 54 African countries as members.

Past recipients of the ASUU bi-annual Africa Leadership Award included former Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), Kofi Anan, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief Afe Babalola, a former minister from South Africa, and Nobel laureate, late Prof Wangari Maathai among others.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Rafael Benitez To Be Appointed As Chelsea New Boss by midetinz(m): 4:42pm On Nov 21, 2012
[quote author=efetobore1]Rafa Benitez: Set for Stamford Bridge

Sky Sports understands that Rafa Benitez is the man Chelsea have lined up to replace Roberto Di Matteo.

The European champions sacked Di Matteo just hours after their 3-0 UEFA Champions League defeat to Juventus which leaves them in danger of going out in the group stages.

Sky Bet Odds

Rafa Benitez is the early front-runner to replace Roberto Di Matteo as Chelsea boss. Bet now. New customers get £5 free every week for the rest of the season.

Di Matteo's departure was confirmed after talks overnight and owner Roman Abramovich has already made moves to find a replacement.

With former Barcelona chief Pep Guardiola unwilling to cut short his 12-month sabbatical from the game, the first choice is Benitez.

Sky Sports sources believe that talks have already taken place, and it is understood Chelsea want their new coach - be it interim or not - in place before this weekend's top-of-the-table clash with Manchester City.

52-year-old Benitez has been out of work since leaving Inter Milan in 2010 after he spent just six months at the San Siro.

Sky Bet have made the former Liverpool boss the favourite in their next Chelsea manager betting, with Guardiola and Harry Redknapp also at the head of the list of candidates.

Truth be told;wearing ring serve as constant reminder for young wedding.cos often atimes,we forget our marital status(situation dependent). I can rightly assume as a married guy(4yrs),that we wear ring out of respect&love for our wives and that's why we don't wear dem whenever we have unsettled quarrel
