Now, the question is this which should be the best engine for this car? Red top (m111), black top (m271) or white tope (m_ _ _)

That Red top is a beast but its 2000 to 2002. You can't go wrong with that engine

was there any recall for that, the 2010 ml 350 has same issue with the back boot too thereby damaging the back sam when it’s raining

Non that i know of. I advice you change the boot rubber.

Rattling sound at start up, this product will stop it and make your engine run quietly.

My 2008 c300 front SAM was flooded with water (I don’t know how it happened) I asked the benz Rewire to check he said I might have to replace the SAM. What’s the price idea for the Front SAM

Don't park that car where water from the roof will be dropping on it. Secondly get a panel beater to through your drainage channels otherwise you will replace that SAM twice.

So a guy i spoke to in January 2020 just called me that his engine has sludge, smokes and shorts oil. This is a car he bought toks in 2019. Just 3 years ,Mobil xhp 20w50, removal of thermostat and permanenting the fan.......engine is gone. Now kazeem wants to ring it for 80k........

Best to go synthetic and dont remove thermostat,

My car had a small gear shift issue that made me uncomfortable. I managed it like that for 6months but just after last Christmas, I decided to take it to my cousin's wife's bro in-law who is a gearbox mechanic in a nearby town.

The car gear totally shutdown after he messed with it. It was 7pm when he finished what he was doing and we tested but no gear. I couldn't get public transport that night so I ask him to find me a cheap hotel. Day 2, he couldn't fix it again. Day 3, same. Day 4, I left the car and went home without the car. 3rd January, I came to pick the car, same story. 4th, same, but that where the real bad news happened. I arrived the hotel 7.20pm, asked the receptionist to fix the room. At the bar, watching a match then I heard from behind me, "every body lie down" "Ajax men".

I knew my phone don go, I layed down jeje, threw the phone under the cushion. They took everyone's phone, one of them came shifted the cushion and picked mine. Everything lasted like 2mins. It's my office phone and worth 160k. I had to replace it. On top of that I had to buy another gearbox apart from spending 3k times 7 and over 70k down the drain in trial and error buying this or that. Kai, like say them swear for me.

Never fix a geAR, sell the old and buy a replacement. ALWAYS BETTER

Hello good people , I am currently battling a hard start when my car sit over night or stay for 4- 5 hours.in the morning I will have to kick up to 9-11 times before it starts.but when if finally start it moves fine and smooth with no issurer and it will be starting once all through the day ,but when ever I stop for 4_5 hours I will have to crank it up to 5times kick before it starts.
Cold start sensor/temperature senso was replaced ,but it's still the same problem.
The car is a vw fsi engine.
I was advice to replace
Fuel pump..
Fuel filter..
Have traveled with the car and back with this same issue is still there which y am not suspect fuel pump.
Pls I need advice , suggestions anyone.

A customer asked me for it today and my honest opinion is that its not necessary since you are already on Premium oil.I used Ceratec once and no difference cos i was on Top Tec.They are great products and do work .

I sold that oil to him and he chatted me to see the thread.I just laughed.They want to really give him heart attack. I will not spend time addressing that issue cos i have done that to him as my customer who deserves reassurance.

I've waited awhile to write this review, to see how time effected my opinion. A little background, my daughter really wanted a 328i, so I went out and found a clean, single owner vehicle with a little over 100k on it. Its the family's first BMW, but as a mechanic I've seen and worked on them all. The BMW N52 engine seems overly complicated for what it does. Power output and economy are just average even though its got just about every bell and whistle including variable valve timing. One thing that struck me was how noisy it was. Kinda like a quiet sewing machine. I changed the oil to Mobil 1 0w/40 Euro blend and she drove it for 7k miles. During this time I read up on all the LL/01 oils for this car, so next oil change I used Castrol Edge, which is LL/01 certified. No difference. Car runs well, still sounds like a sewing machine. 7k more miles go by, and I learn about this CeraTec additive, and decide to give it a try based on all the good reviews. Yup, looks like a Orange Julius!! Well, I dump it it, and take it around the block. Engine seems a little quieter and smoother, but figure its my brain screwing with me. I slam the hood, and give my daughter the keys back, and off she goes.
And here's where it gets interesting.... My 19 year old daughter doesnt know squat about cars. She a 100% gas it up and go girl. So about 2 weeks after the CeraTec goes in we are sitting at the dinner table and she says... " Oh Daddy, I forgot to thank you for tuning up my car". I ask her what makes her think I did? She replies that since the last service its much smoother idling at red lights and its quieter. (Remember, she's driven it for 7500 miles at this point) I asked her how could she tell, as the radio is always at least half volume. She says when its running and she's got the window down ordering at a drive -thru it used to go "tickity-tickity" ( her words)as it echo'ed off the building.. and now its silent. I go out and fire it up and roll down the window and stick my head out.... yup. Silent and verrry smooth. She also has average MPG constantly on display , and its improved about .65 mpg. So, if you add all that up, it seems to work. Liqui-Moly says its lasts 30k miles. I service the car every 7k, so we'll see if this all stays the same after a service, which is coming up soon. The car uses zero oil between services, so I cant comment on that. But from a smoothness, quietness point of view, if my daughter noticed it without me prompting her, I would say thats what made me a believer more than anything. Thanks Liqui-Moly.
