https://cdn.dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/GOV-AREGBESOLA.jpg The Osun State governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has revealed why he always sing and dance at campaigns and public events, stating that “If I had not gone to school, I would have been a Fuji musician,”
Speaking with newsmen in the state, the governor came hard on the media for carrying mischievous, desperate and malicious reports against his administration, insisting that his government is not among the worst in the country.
He asserted that the credibility gap in the nation’s media publications has resulted to newspapers in the country presently circulating less than 300,000 copies, whereas a popular title sold 500,000 copies per edition in this country up until 1975.
According to Aregbesola, “I am happy that our state continues to survive in spite of the mischievous, desperate and malicious contents in some sections of the media against our government. Unfortunately, media in recent times have portrayed our government as one of the worst in the country whereas the reverse is the case.
“Sunday Times in those days sold 500,000 copies per edition in this country up until 1975 and Sunday Times was so popular that whoever was literate in Nigeria will want to read it either by borrowing it, buying it or going to the library. The circulation of all Nigeria newspapers today is less than 300,000, so it should therefore interest us how a nation with increased population generally, have almost ten time of graduates that we had in 1975 now has the circulation figures we now have. It is therefore important for us to interrogate the decline in readership.
“If you ask me, closely watching the economy, the decline is as a result of credibility gap in our media publications. I want to appeal to our media people to support the course of disseminating reliable, accurate, informative and entertaining news. Reports in newspapers have erroneously portrayed us as a famished state. About this time last year, it was as if heaven will fall. It was as if the entire world was collapsing on our state. What churches do normally became an opportunity to portray us as famine-stricken state. One person even went to the extent of donating his wardrobe allowance.
“Everything was made to look as if people are dying on the streets here. Recently, I still read in our papers that we are owing mountains of salaries, while the reverse is actually the case. I have decided to ignore such tantrums. Available records have shown that there is no iota of doubt in the fact that some media practitioners have demonstrated their hatred to us through their adamant disposition to falsehood, baseless and unfounded claims against our noble political voyage.
“I wonder why they found it difficult to display high sense of commitment to journalistic ethics and media professional code of conduct despite the conspicuous realities. The pertinent question is that whether or not the media assess itself, facts must always be disseminated and reported, and it is on the basis of this we have always advised the media experts to support the dissemination of reliable, accurate, objective, authentic, impersonal, dis-sensational and factual news.
“No amount of propaganda and condemnation would dissuade us from attaining economic prosperity just as we are determined to complete all the ongoing projects before the end of our tenure here. I am not quarreling with any paper. I only plead for accurate reporting of events. To those of you who are critical but factual, it is your hard stance that has kept us on our toes. I want to appeal to the media to be factual in their reports.” http://dailypost.ng/2016/07/16/i-would-have-been-a-fuji-musician-if-not-for-education-aregbesola/Lalasticlala |

A woman alleged to be a Nigerian was on Wednesday accused of selling human parts as fried meat in a popular market in Accra, Ghana. According to, Adom Ghana FM, the woman raised suspicion by her strange movement at the Adabraka Market and vigilant traders were said to have dragged her to the Adabraka Police Station.
Confirming the arrest, Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, ASP Afia Tenge told the radio station yesterday that the woman is half Nigerian and half Ghanaian.
Tenge said the suspect is Florence Uju Appiah and she is 60 years old.
“Thus far, she has confessed, saying she was instructed to sell meat to make a living by her spiritual pastor.
“She said she bought her meat at Makola and was coming to sell at Adabraka market but she was new in the market. She said selling the meat was a direction from her spiritual pastor and that it was a cow meat she had bought from Makola to come and sell at the market.
“We only know its grilled meat but it is difficult for the police to determine whether it is human meat or otherwise, so we forwarded the said meat to national Crime Investigation Department, CID for forensic testing to show if it is human meat or not,” the Commander added, urging people to be calm until the result of the forensic report to determine what kind of meat comes out.
Meanwhile, during her arrest on Wednesday, an angry mob was about lynching her before police officers came to her rescue.
The woman, according to the market women, was carrying a tray with some pieces of meat, and all attempts to get her to disclose the source and type of meat she was carrying reportedly proved futile.
One of the market women told reporters that, “the lady was selling the meat and when we queried her to find out what she was selling she refused to talk.” She was cunningly moving about with the meat in a broken tray.
“We asked her the cost of the meat but she refused to answer, so what else can we think of? That was why we marched her to the police station. The meat looked like beef,” she added.
Another market woman, Effia said, “We were told that the strange meat was meant for ritual and was given to her by her pastor. If it’s for rituals, she should be sent to the person who gave her this weird meat to sell to unsuspecting consumers.
“She refused to answer and she was behaving strangely, we realized its human meat. According to some of my colleagues, she confessed that it is human meat and that her pastor gave it to her to perform some rituals.” http://dailypost.ng/2016/07/15/60-year-old-nigerian-woman-caught-selling-human-flesh-as-fried-meat-in-ghana/ |

Even male lawyers disagree in a lot of areas and some find it hard to keep their friendship and brotherhood outside the courtroom in a reasonable manner. Women who aren't even lawyers keep decadian malice just over little issues let alone 5 women in a law firm. Not only can they split someday sef, they can even split their parents marriage that have lasted 35yrs join.
D day they'll have a political case worth almost a billion or a case with one of their in-law family, that day people will know that although they're from same parents but d sperm that produced each of them are different. |

The All Progressives Congress member representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye, on Thursday explained that he insulted Senator Oluremi Tinubu, during an executive session at the Senate after she referred to him as a thug. Melaye, however, said he was willing to apologise if he had wronged any individual in the matter. “If there are instances that I am not a super human being, if there are instances where as a human being I have reacted negatively I am also ready to be apologetic about it. But in this particular instance, I have never mentioned anybody’s name, I never even used insolent languages. Reacting to the statement purportedly made by Remi Tinubu’s husband and leader of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Bola Tinubu on his political career, Melaye said the APC leader is no god and cannot determine his political career. “I will continue to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, I will continue to be a voice to the voiceless and in reaction I heard that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu said my political career has come to an end. “I want to say that Tinubu is no god. I fear only the God almighty, I fear no soul I only respect souls. So far my political journey to the House of Representatives and the Senate has no political, financial or moral contribution of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu. “The God who has brought me this far is mighty, strong and enough to take me further, what God has given me no man can give and what God has given to me no man can take. I want to assure you that this is the true story of what transpired.” http://punchng.com/tinubu-no-god-melaye/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |

https://thenationonlineng.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Tukur-Buratai.jpg The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has opened up on the acquisition of $1.5 million mansions by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai. The bureau said its records showed that the assets of Buratai in Dubai were declared in his wife’s name The CCB made the clarification in a July 11 letter by Mrs. Ijeanuli Arinze Ofor, to Ugochukwu Osuagwu of St. Francis Xavier Solicitors and Advocates in Abuja.
Osuagwu had requested information on Buratai “pursuant to Section 1 and 4 of the Freedom of Information Act 2011.
The CCB said: “We refer to your mail dated Jun 29, 2016. We wish to state here that Gen. Tukar Yusuf Buratai, after his appointment as the Chief of Army Staff, declared his assets as required by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“He was served the Form CCB-I on July 21, 2015, and returned same on August 21, 2015.
“We also wish to confirm that his property at Dubai was declared in the wife’s name. Please, accept the warmest regards of the chairman.”
In a June 29, 2016, letter of the chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Osuagwu sought clarification on whether or not Buratai declared the controversial mansions.
The letter said: “We request that the CCB, pursuant to the FOI Act 2011, avail us the following concerning the declarations of Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai.
“On July 13, 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Gen. Buratai as Chief of Army Staff. The newspapers are awash that Gen. Buratai and his two wives in 2013 paid 1,498,534.00 AED (N120 million/ $419,000) for a Dubai property, Project TFG Marina Hotel, Unit 2711.
“Sale documents indicated that the property was handed over to the Buratais on January 13, 2013, prior to his appointment as the Chief of Army Staff.
“For the purpose of clarity sir, we request you as follows: (1) Confirm if Gen.Tukur Yusuf Buratai declared his asset with you upon his appointment on July 13, 2015, as Chief of Army Staff; (2) Whether the above property he bought with his wife was also declared with the CCB.
“Kindly avail us a reply within the time allowed under the Freedom of Information Act 2011 as much as you can sir.”
The Executive Chairman of Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL), Mr. Debo Adeniran, said assets declarations to the CCB, by public officials, should be made public for the purpose of transparency and public scrutiny.
Adeniran, who made his position known in a statement in Lagos, said public officers should not hide their assets.
He, however, asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe Gen. Buratai. http://thenationonlineng.net/conduct-bureau-buratai-declared-1-5m-mansions-wifes-name/ |

Politics › Forgery Trial: Buhari Threatened Impeachment by midolian(op): 4:06pm On Jul 12, 2016 |
Forgery Trial Of Senate Leaders: Buhari Threatened With Impeachment; Dino Melaye Threatens To Beat Up Senator TinubuNigeria’s upper legislative chamber broke into an uproar today with some members threatening President Muhammad Buhari with impeachment, and Dino Melaye threatening to ‘impregnate’ Remi Tinubu, the wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader.
The Senators who met behind closed doors were incensed by the proposed trial of the leadership of the Senate for forgery.
Shortly after commencement of a plenary session, some Senators called on their colleagues, led by Senators Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi (APC Kaduna North) and Kabir Marafa (APC Zamfara Central) to sheathe their sword and withdraw the petition that had led to the criminal prosecution of Senate President Bukola Saraki and his Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.
The Executive Session, which was chaired by Saraki, also reminded the Senate that a committee led by former Senate President David Mark had been set up to “reconcile” members. Curiously, Mr. Mark stood and said he was not informed that he chairs such a committee and that he didn’t know any members. He was simply told to do his “work”.
Shortly after that, Senator Dino Melaye (APC Kogi West) said in his remarks that the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, must be brought before the Senate to be thoroughly grilled and humiliated for charging the Senate leadership with forgery in court.
Mr. Melaye called on the Senators in attendance to fight the presidency to a standstill. In his rant, he issued a wide variety of threats. Recognized to speak, Senator Remi Tinubu (APC) Lagos Central said the Senate should not be reduced to a kindergarten where Senators could just issue childish threats, and called on Senators to close ranks and seek reconciliation amongst its members.
That was when Melaye flew into rage, calling her names. “I will beat you up on this floor and nothing will happen,” he threatened.
The statement caused a commotion on the floor as Senators in her support gathered to protect her. Senate Presient Saraki nodded as Melaye called mrs. Tinubu unprintable names according to Senators who intervened to save her from the rampaging Melaye.
Leading the offensive in support of Melaye were Senators Danjuma Goje, Jibrin Barau, Isa Misau and Peter Nwaoboshi.
A source told SaharaReporters there had been a series of meetings at the home of Senator Aliyu Wamakko (APC, Sokoto) to plot a total onslaught on President Buhari in the coming days.
In addition, the Senators held to be behind the current forgery trial were threatened by the like-minded Senators, with Melaye threatening to kill anyone who shows up in court to testify against Saraki and Ekweremadu.
The rancor between the Senate and the Presidency is expected to escalate leading to a summons to the new Inspector General of Police who will be forced to declare AGF Malami wanted if he refuses to show up at the Senate from there it was gathered that Senators opposed to Buhari would start impeachment proceedings against him.
Senators who spoke to SaharaReporters said the Senators supporting Saraki are united in crime and corruption because they’ve never had it so good, with over N260 billion padded into the budget in constituency projects, and sundry line items smuggled into the 2016 budget for their individual benefit.
There is, however, a seeming crack in Saraki’s camp as some members have already pulled out or reduced their open support for him due to his many scandals. Senator Ali Ndume (APC) Borno South, for instance, has fallen out with the Senate President because he was openly accused of being too close to Buhari and nursing the ambition of becoming the Senate President. Ndume was absent from today’s gathering.
