If you look at the voters register, you will find that even dead people voted. They were supposed to have woken up, voted and then went back to their graves,”PHEE-DEE-PHEE! Power to the 'DeaD'

I wld love the publication of the hand-over notes too..so the wailing ignoramuses will know the exact condition of the country b4 buhari took over. |
The House of Representatives has urged the Executive to publish the handover notes of former President Goodluck Jonathan to the current administration, in the official gazette of the federation. Hon. Uzoma Nkem-Abonta (Abia PDP) in a motion raised on the floor of the House Tuesday, said the publication is necessary to allow interested Nigerians and other residents access for information and record purposes. He however noted that information restricted by law in the documents, can be excluded from the publication, but urged the provision of the notes to all members of the National Assembly to enable them determine individually or collectively, the state of the nation as at May 29, 2015. Abonta argued that releasing the notes, which is a public document , is in line with the transparency and accountability mantra of the current administration. Debating the motion, the Majority Leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (Lagos APC) noted that the transparency and accountability claim of the motion cannot be faulted adding that the House is empowered to ask for any document it needs. He also suggested the formulation of a Transition Act that deals with the gamut of transition from one government to another as done in a country like Kenya. The Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Pally Iriase (Edo APC) however disagreed on the premise that the sensitive security issues are likely contained in the handover note. He suggested that anyone who needs any portion of the notes can make a request through the Freedom of Information Act. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/house-members-seek-publication-of-jonathan-s-handover-notes/215886/ |

Beggars revolt ![]() |
Some Beggars who besieged the NUJ Secretariat in Kaduna on Monday said they had used proceeds from begging to facilitate the election of Governor El Rufai of Kaduna State and promised to bring down his government should he insist on stopping them from begging - their means of livelihood. They said the governor had not provided any alternative to them. Addressing the Press in Kaduna under the aegis of Kaduna State Beggars Association, the beggars said if they knew that El Rufai would stop them from begging and would show no care about their welfare afterwards, they would never have voted him in. The leader of the group, Mallam Yahaya Makaho, a visually challenged person who spoke on behalf of the group said: “I want to swear on my honour that I personally used my proceeds from begging to canvass for the support of El Rufai. I used my money to mobilise for his support, both on the streets and where I usually teach my students, and I am not alone in my group that made that sacrifice. “We decided to support El Rufai, because we were tired of the then governor, (Mukhtar Ramalan Yero) who did not show any regards for our survival. We worked hard, spent money and prayed and God heard or prayers and brought down Yero. “Now, it would appear that we made a mistake. The new governor wants to bring us down. “He does not want us to live. He has chased us out of the streets and has made no alternative arrangement for our survival. “Look, some of us here have between three and four wives and many children. “How can you lock up such a man, who must resort to begging because he has found himself incapable of doing any other thing? “We are asking the governor to rescind this decision now or find ways to meet our basic needs. “If he refuses to heed this demand, we shall make sure we bring down his government.” It could be recalled that Mallam El Rufai stopped street begging, saying he would provide an abode for them where they would stay rather than them begging on the street. He also maintained that beggars and hawkers are used by terrorists to innocently courier bombs for them. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2015/07/well-bring-el-rufais-govt-beggars-warn/ |

Buhari, ya regime is sweet wallahi ![]() Nigeria used to be a lawless countrY. |
A Federal High Court in Abuja has declined to stop the police from its ongoing investigation of the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and others in relation to the alleged forgery of the 2015 Standing Rules of the Senate. Justice Gabriel Kolawole in a ruling on Monday refused an ex-parte application filed by Senator Prince Gilbert Emeka Nnaji, with which he sought to among others, restrain the police from proceeding with the investigation and making public the report of the inquiry. Nnaji had sought interim orders to restrain the defendants in the case – the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) – from continuing with the matter, pending the determination of his substantive suit. The plaintiff is challenging the constitutionality of the investigation within the context of the doctrine of separation of power. Justice Kolawole said he could not grant the prayer sought by the plaintiff at ex-parte stage when his court possesses the power to conduct a judicial review of the action complained about in the substantive suit. He also refused the plaintiff’s request to abridge the time within which the defendants could respond. http://thenationonlineng.net/forgery-court-refuses-to-stop-ekweremadu-others-investigation/ |
