You are missing it. SW, NW, NC, NE and ND people have something in common - truth. The problem is the SE folks who take off when the truth is spoken . The ND person is still better positioned to be president than SE. SE are Cowardly liars better equipped to be traders. When Ibasanjo was in power the bulk of opposition to him came from Yoruba people, the most embarassing of them from his own family. Even Jonathan had serious problems in Bayelsa . Buhari was overthrown by northerners and after he returned to power is first victim is the ex NSA. For SE people is is tribalism, clannishness, unprogressiveness of a high order. Someone STOLE our grandchildren money and all the first thing they did was defending him . Even the leaders of the Niger Delta don't have this attitude.

I wld suggest you go for that Anambra offer. If I were u, I wld do just that..

Bn a truck officer is not easy. I was invited for the screening @ obajana buh didn't go. This is because I see it as a big-time waste of time and risk of life. Do you know what it takes to travel physically with the driver almost everytime? I served in kwara state, somewhere in bode saadu. There is a federal road that links kwara to/with Niger state that passes through that town. I saw trucks breakdown umpteen times on the road without help. Sometimes, the driver would sleep on/by the road for 2, 3 or more days. Are u ready to do this with the driver?

2ndly, you don't even know the kinda driver you ll be working with. What if you are paired with an alcoholic or a drug addict? This kinda person will drive recklessly under the influence of what he takes in. Abeg, don't you want to grow in ya career? Will ya parents mind be @ rest whenever you are traveling?

4damore, you can be called on anytime to travel with the driver. Are u comfortable with this? Are u really ready to do this?

Finally, I learnt that when you cover 400,000kms, the truck becomes yours. Lol. I hope this isn't wat you are dreaming on. Isn't this ridiculous? By my calculation, you ll have to travel with ya driver for almost 3yrs b4 the truck bcomes yours. Abeg what if something happens along the line(unforseen circumstances)

Have u imagined why dangote prefers to use graduates, when ordinarily a secondary school drop-out can even do the job? Dangote is an opportunist who has taken advantage of the unemployment rate in Nigeria to rubbish her graduates. The billionaire jst need you to monitor the driver and his truck and goods. #profit

Addressing an audience of policy-makers, activists and academics in Washington, Buhari complained that Nigerian forces had been left "largely impotent" in the face of Boko Haram's campaign of kidnapping and bombings.

"They do not possess the appropriate weapons and technology which we could have had if the so-called human rights violations had not been an obstacle," he said.

"Unwittingly, and I dare say unintentionally, the application of the Leahy Law Amendment by the United States government has aided and abetted the Boko Haram terrorists."

PoliticsINTERESTING! 14 Love Stories Of Ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo by midolian(op): 7:49pm On Jul 23, 2015
Ex-president Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in his controversial biography ‘My Watch’ has named his 21 children, but didn’t list their mothers.

Meanwhile, Encomium Weekly discloses the names of the mothers of Obasanjo’s children and other women that had romances with the two-time president of Nigeria.

1. Oluremi Obasanjo

Obasanjo married with his first wife on June 22, 1963, at Camberwell Green Registry, South East London.

Oluremi was only 21. She is the mother of six of the 21 children of the ex-president.

They include Senator Iyabo Obasanjo, who was born on April 27, 1967; Busola Obasanjo, who was born on November 5, 1968; Olusegun Obasanjo, the first son, who was born on November 4, 1969; Olugbenga Obasanjo, who was born in 1971; Enitan Obasanjo, who was born on September 24, 1975 and Damilola Obasanjo, the last of the woman’s children who was born in 1982.

2. Stella Obasanjo

The late former Nigeria’s First Lady died on Sunday, October 23, 2005, in Spain after an unsuccessful tummy tuck surgery. She had only a child, Olumuyiwa Obasanjo, who was born in 1977, for Obasanjo.

3. Gold Oruh

An ex-director of Nigerian Television Authority met the ex-president as a reporter during the civil war in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
Oruh had two children for him. They are Funke and Seun Obasanjo.

4. Taiwo Obasanjo

Taiwo is the twin sister of Kenny Martins, the politician and ex-chairman of Police Equipment Fund.

Obasanjo had two children from her. One of them is Esther Olubunmi Obasanjo who got married in August 2010.

Mrs. Obasanjo has since returned to her first name, Martins. The former president distanced from her since her secret romance with late Godwin Daboh became public knowledge.

5. Lynda Obasanjo

Lynda was another woman who had children for Chief Obasanjo. She was said to have had two children for him before she was killed on February 14, 1987, in daylight by armed robbers.

The names of her children are not known.

6. Mabel Okosode Obasanjo

Another woman, who reportedly had children for the former Nigerian leader.

7. Titilayo Obasanjo

Titilayo has a child or children for Obasanjo.

8. Adeboye Obasanjo

According to Oluremi Obasanjo in her book, Bitter Sweet My Life with Obasanjo, she is a mother of two and a divorcee brought to the ex-general by one of his aunts who lives in Arigbajo, Ogun state, when she (Remi) was chased out of their Ikoyi (Lagos) matrimonial home for challenging his (Obasanjo) philandering.

9. Kofoworola Mojisola Obasanjo

Kofoworola got married to Peter Kenneth Blackshire, a British Baptist minister in 2002, shares the same mother with Tunde Baiyewu, the British singer of Nigerian descent.

Tunde Baiyewu’s mother lost her husband and moved to Nigeria with her two children.

She met Obasanjo who was still an officer in the army. Their romance produced Kofo Obasanjo.

10. Bola Obasanjo

Bola is currently living with Chief Obasanjo. She also has a child for him named Funsho Obasanjo. The woman was previously based in London, but had to move to Nigeria to be his resident wife.

There are other women in Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s life while they did not have children for him.

Obasanjo’s Other Women

Mowo Sofowora started dating former president as far back as 1973, when he was a Lt. Col. in the army.

Oluremi Obasanjo mentioned Mowo Sofowora as one of the women who caused problems in her marriage. She was said to be older than Obasanjo.
Labo Salako, the wife of late Captain Salako, who died in 1972, at Argungu in a motor accident.

Salako was Obasanjo’s mate in London. After the death of her husband, she moved in with the Obasanjo’s at their Ikoyi (Lagos) residence on the advice of Obasanjo and the wife, Remi, complied with her husband.

But before the wife knew what was going on, Labo was already having a boisterous affair with her husband.

Lamide Adegbenro is the wife of Chief Niyi Adegbenro, the former Commissioner for Agriculture in Ogun State and a kinsman of Chief Obasanjo.

Lamide Adegbenro, who should be in her 60s now was also mentioned by Mrs. Oluremi Obasanjo in her book as one of the many mistresses of her husband.

Ex-vice-president Atiku Abubakar also mentioned her during his face-off with Obasanjo that she got a gift of a brand new Peugeot 607 and $110,000 that was paid into her NATWEST Bank, UK account in 2003, by Otunba Fasawe.

Mrs. Alo, a former Vice Principal of Queens College, Yaba, Lagos, was also supposed to be a mistress of Chief Obasanjo.

Alo is reportedly still very close to Chief Obasanjo as she is a member of the board of directors of Obasanjo’s school, The Bells.

PoliticsNigerian Governors Backtrack, Say They Never Asked Buhari For Bailout by midolian(op): 6:19pm On Jul 23, 2015
Nigeria’s 36 state governors have denied asking for a federal bailout to help bankrupt states clear salary backlog.

The governors, who met on Wednesday at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel under the aegis of the Nigeria Governors Forum, said the money recently shared to states was from the dividends paid by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, NLNG.

The assertion was made by NGF chairman and governor of Zamfara state, Abdulaziz Yari, who addressed the media at the end of the meeting.
Mr. Yari said it was necessary to inform the media that the federal government did not give any bailout to any of the states.

“What had been shared last time was monies from NLNG and FAAC. And as we have been saying, we have not been looking for bailout, instead, we have been looking for all monies that are in the coffers of the federation most especially we are talking about some of the monies that are hung around the coffers of government to be brought together for the purpose of sharing,” he said.

The recent position by the governors contradicts a previous one they held.

Shortly after President Muhammad Buhari was elected as president and before he was sworn in, governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress visited him at the Defence House where they held a long meeting.

The chairman of the forum and governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, who addressed the media, said the governors asked for a bailout from Mr. Buhari because most states were in dire financial situation.

The APC governors again asked for bailout after their meeting at Mr. Okorocha’s lodge in Abuja saying without bailout states may not be able to pay backlog of salaries and other important issues seeking their attention.

Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party had also held a separate meeting and adopted the same position after which an enlarged meeting of the NGF held on June 21 took a position to meet with the president on the issue.
The governors met with Mr. Buhari and it was announced that a decision was reached to share bailout funds to the states.

Mr. Yari, however, maintained Wednesday, “We are not taking any bailout from the federal government and the federal government did not give us any bailout yet.

“But we are talking on how best the intervention will happen within these days so we will be able to settle the issue of salaries and other operations in government in the country.”

He also said the governors have resolved to help Mr. Buhari to address the worsening economic situation in the country and to also create a clear policy direction for the country and stimulate domestic production.

They therefore, resolved “to discuss with Mr. President to seek lasting solutions to the worsening macroeconomic challenges confronting the nation, especially on foreign exchange stability.

“To work with Mr. President to ensure coherent policy actions that will create a clear policy direction for the country and stimulate domestic production.

Other highlights of the meeting, according to Mr. Yari included a resolve “to collaborate with the federal government to ensure that the National Health Act Is operational and the one percent funding for primary health care is provided for in the budget.”

“Sequel to presentation made by the country representative of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the forum agreed to aggressively support the total eradication of polio in the country,” he said.

PoliticsRe: Bomb blast victims decry government neglect, demand probe of N58bn support fund by midolian(op):
Many pple don't deserve to exist. How can a man with conscience ever think of embezzling the funds meant to take care of bomb blast victims? angry
PoliticsBomb blast victims decry government neglect, demand probe of N58bn support fund by midolian(op):
The Bomb Victims Association of Nigeria (BVAN) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to open up an inquiry into the status of the Victims Support Fund established in July 2014 and ascertain the whereabouts of the about N58 billion raised for the support of bomb victims.

The association said the inquiry became necessary as victims of bomb blasts who should be the beneficiaries of the fund cannot ascertain the true position of the fund.

Speaking yesterday in Abuja, chairman of the group, Olatunji, Kayode Oladele said as a result of prolonged neglect of the victims of the bomb blasts across Northern Nigeria, some of those who initially survived the bombings have died, many due to little or no medical care and others as a result of their inability to continue with their medical bills or further their treatment here in Nigeria or abroad.

It would be recalled that former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, had last year constituted a Committee on Victims Support Fund to mobilise resources and administer appropriate support to victims of insurgency and Boko Haram terror activities all over the country. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma is the chairman of the committee.

During the launching ceremony of the fund, Jonathan hosted a glamorous fundraising dinner at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The event was televised on the national broadcaster. At the dinner, Jonathan, who personally served as the Master of Ceremony, invited many prominent business people to make their pledges public.

After the ceremony, a statement, issued by Jonathan’s special adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, said a total of N58.79 billion was realised, the sum exceeded the initial target of N50 billion by N8.79 billion.

Many of them pledged huge sums of money: Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, mobile telecoms billionaire.

Mike Adenuga, and Zenith Bank founder, Jim Ovia, publicly pledged $6.2 million to the Fund. Alakija, Indimi and Rabiu each pledged $3 million while General Danjuma pledged $10 million. About $400 million was raised at the end of the evening.

He gave instance of a victim named Hope Musa, a survivor of June 26th 2014 EMAB plaza bomb blast and a founding member of the Bomb Victims Association of Nigeria who died two weeks ago due to injuries sustained from the blast, as he could not afford to further his treatment for a neurosurgical operation abroad.

He said there is need for the president to ascertain if the funds had been disbursed, that those members of the committee give an account on such disbursement, also furnishing such details as whom the funds were spent on and the criteria with which such were chosen.

He said, “That a framework be set up to make this fund available to real victims of bomb blast many of whom are in dire need of medical attention and means of livelihood.

“That the Bomb Victims Association, which has as its members actual victims of bomb blasts, be included in the committee of the Victims support

It would be recalled that former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, had last year constituted a Committee on Victims Support Fund to mobilize resources and administer appropriate support to victims of insurgency and Bokoharam terror activities all over the country. Rtd. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma chairs this committee.

Oladele said “many of the victims have lost their lives as a result of government negligence and neglect, many which initially survived the bombing, died months later for inability to cope with exorbitant medical bills, which the Federal Government promised to clear at every bomb blast that occurred.”

The association urged President Buhari to expedites efforts and strategies towards stopping the insurgents and their terror attacks.

PoliticsSaraki: Jonathan Did Not Give Me Any Bribe Over Missing $20bn by midolian(op): 6:30am On Jul 23, 2015
Senate President Bukola Saraki yesterday denied reports by an online news medium that he received bribe from former President Goodluck Jonathan to help him influence the alleged missing $20 billion from the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) account.

Saraki, who accused the news medium of smear campaign and acting the script of his sponsors, demanded a retraction of the story and an apology  for the publication.

According to a statement by his Special Assistant, New Media, Bankole Omisore,  Saraki said since he defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives (APC), he had never had any contact with Jonathan.

Furthermore, Saraki said it was on record that he was the only member of the Senate Committee on Finance, which probed the allegation, who refused to sign the report on the grounds that he was not convinced on the altruism of the report.

He referred the medium to THISDAY edition of May 29 for confirmation of his objection to the report, saying he was the only member of the committee who refused to sign the report under duress.

“The attention of the Senate President’s media office has been drawn to a malicious fabrication by an online publication aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

“First, as a senator in the seventh National Assembly, the Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki never signed the report of the Ahmed Makarfi-led Finance Committee investigation into the alleged non-remittance by NNPC of $20 billion into the federation account.

“In his letter dated June 30, 2014 to the committee withholding his signature, he said ‘it is my opinion that this report as laid has not fully addressed the matter referred to us adequately and conclusively. The report has not been definitive on its findings and has failed to address some of the critical issues I had raised during our meetings. For this reason, I am withholding my support and signature.’

“The records of the committee are still accessible in the National Assembly and a copy is here attached. Secondly, it is still on record that Senator Saraki is the only senator in the committee that refused to sign the report even in the face of severe duress and personal inconvenience. Saraki during the investigation, was known to have been very probing with his questions, meticulously reviewing the data offered by NNPC to get to the bottom of the issue.

“It would be recalled that though he did not make the last meeting of the committee, when the news broke that the committee had cleared the NNPC, he was the first and the only senator to refute the report, saying ‘the recent media reports claiming that the Senate Committee on Finance has cleared NNPC of any unaccounted revenue fund are not true… I have been very active in the investigation, nothing significant has changed to suggest clearing of anyone,” the statement said.

He also described as falsehood the online news medium’s claim that he worked with Jonathan to bring down the amount of unremitted funds as he challenged it to produce evidence of its claim.

Saraki also debunked the allegation that the former president sent gifts of money and other items to him through the Chagoury family but added that the Chagourys have been friends to his family for 26 years.
“Also, Saraki never met with Jonathan on this report (committee met last on the 16th of February 2014). So, the thought of Saraki working to bring down the number or amount unremitted with Goodluck Jonathan  is completely false.

“For the avoidance of doubt, there has been no meeting of any type between Senator Saraki and former President Jonathan since the senator left PDP. So, any suggestion that ex-President Jonathan sent Chagoury to Saraki with gifts/money to seek support from him on the report is totally false. Both the Sarakis and Chagourys have been family friends for over 26 years.

“We hereby request the general public to disregard the antics of the online news medium. We further call on the medium to immediately retract this offensive publication and offer an unequivocal apology to Saraki, the National Assembly and the citizenry of Nigeria for this unprovoked, reckless and mindless publication.

“The Media Office of the Senate President hereby uses this opportunity to put it on record that the posts by the online news medium are completely false with no iota of truth whatsoever.

“We also challenge the medium to either post facts or any documentation with proof or desist from misleading the reading public with dirty works of fiction apparently commissioned by some politicians in an attempt to destabilise the legislative arm of government and the country as a whole,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, the wife of the Senate President and Founder of the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, Mrs. Toyin Saraki, has disclosed that she would  honour the invitation extended to her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC, according to an online news medium, Premium Times, had sent a letter of invitation to Mrs. Saraki’s office, requesting her to appear before the anti-graft commission.

A statement by her private secretary, Akeem Olagoke said though Mrs. Saraki has no idea what the invitation could pertain to, she had directed an immediate and formal response to the EFCC, that she would be delighted to assist them with any lawful enquiries they might have, as a law abiding, transparent and accountable private citizen.

The statement added that Mrs. Saraki had confirmed an appointment date to honour the invitation at the earliest mutually agreed convenience.
