Politics › Crisis Hits Ohanaeze As Members Accuse President Of Pocketing Gov. Ikpeazu’s N5m by midolian(op): 8:57am On Sep 10, 2018 |
Crisis has engulfed the Abia State chapter of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, as members of the body, under the auspices of Concerned Ohanaeze Ndigbo Leader’s Network(CONLN), Sunday, called for the resignation of the State President, Elder Rowland Ajuzieogu.
The members accused Ajuzieogu of pocketing N5 million given to the group by the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu as contribution for logistics for the holding of 2017 Igbo Day celebration.
They alleged that the President had pocketed the money after the event failed to hold in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state as planned. The members equally accused Ajuzieogu of endorsing aspirants in Abia for the 2019 election without consulting the entire leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
The 1st National vice President of Ohanaeze, Mr. Nnamdi Onwunle, and other stakeholders of the group made this known in a press conference held in Umuahia, the state capital on Sunday.
He decried the dictatorial leadership of the President, which he claimed had brought the apex Igbo body in a bad light.
Onwunle said, “We are asking him to toe the path of honour by relinquishing the office of the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Abia.
“He lacks the competence, morality to be there. He should account for the N5 million he collected from Governor Ikpeazu for the holding of 2018 Igbo Day which did not hold.
“The President has been meeting politicians without the consent of other members of the Executive. Recently, he visited a guber aspirant, in the state, Uche Ogah, and endorsed him for the seat of Abia governor in 2019 election.
“He was offered more N6 million for the endorsement. We call on him to resign or face suspension for his corrupt act”.
Reacting, Ajuzieogu, in a phone interview with DAILY POST on Sunday night, dismissed the allegations.
He said, “No such thing happened. Mr. Nnamdi Ayo Onwunle is the state 1st vice President. And last year, there was no Igbo day. I did not collect any N5 million from the Governor.
“On the issue of endorsement, my dear brother, the governor himself, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is instrumental to my becoming Ohanaeze President. And He has so much encouraged my administration.
“We I visited Dr. Uche Ogah on 1st of September. Mr. Onwunle was also part of that very delegation. It was entire executive of Ohanaeze Ndigbo that visited Ogah.
“What we discussed with Uche Ogah was on the restructuring of the Nigeria federation which Ohanaeze is clamouring for. We visited him to tell him that restructuring is the way to go.
“So, the allegation that I collected N6 million from Dr. Ogah and endorsed him for the seat of Abia governor in the upcoming election is baseless and untrue”. http://dailypost.ng/2018/09/10/crisis-hits-ohanaeze-members-accuse-president-pocketing-gov-ikpeazus-n5m-donation/lalasticlala mynd44 |

Politics › What Obasanjo Did To Me For Begging Him Not To Run For Second Term – Senator Kha by midolian(op): 7:52am On Sep 09, 2018 |
A former lawmaker representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Senator Khairat Abdulrazaq-Gwadabe, has revealed what former President Olusegun Obasanjo did to her for begging him not to run for second term in office.
According to her, Obasanjo made sure that she did not return to the Senate for spearheading the move to remove him as President in 2003.
Speaking with Vanguard, the lawmaker who later defected to the All Nigerian Peoples Party, ANPP, from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said she had to abandon her second term bid because plans were concluded to kick her out during PDP primaries.
She said, “I did not technically lose the primary in 2003. There was a lot of agitation from the National Assembly for the impeachment of President Olusegun Obasanjo at the time and we were the people pushing for it because we felt that he was unconstitutional in some of his actions. Every law, particularly the Appropriation Act, was always flouted.
“We worked hard to put things in place and he messed it up. Anytime he came to do his budget presentation or the state of the nation address, you will find that whatever he said never tallied with the budgeting.
“For instance, you can’t say your thrust is agriculture and then you are giving less than N100 billion to agriculture.
“You can’t tell me that your thrust is health and you are giving more money to defence. So, whatever you are saying in the state of the nation address must tally with what you have presented to us.
“So, largely, we now look at your address and say ‘this is where he wants to go and we will help him get there’.
“We tinker with the budget in a manner that will reflect the direction that he wants to go. But when it comes to implementation, he will now become selective as to which ministry he is going to give funds.
“If you don’t get money, you can’t do anything. We said, ‘no, if we continue the process this way, we are going to get to a point where some of us that want to see Nigeria do well will not achieve our aim.
“This second term he is seeking, let us ask him not to go’. So, we were called to a conference – all the appointees, ambassadors and legislators of the PDP – at the Yar’Adua Centre.
“Audu Ogbeh was Chairman of the party at the time, and they selected people to speak and people spoke. I came up and summarized what every speaker had said.
“I said we were all going round in circles. ‘Mr. Chairman, please let us beg Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo not to run for second term in the interest of the country and in the interest of the party’.
“There was a big round of applause. They forgot that he was seated there. I think somebody reminded me that he’s Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. I responded and said ‘I appreciate that you would rather call him chief.
“But for a man to say he is going to give up his life and serve his nation, I think he needs to be honoured and he served his nation and rose to the highest level you can give a man in the military, General.
“I think we should honour him by addressing him as General Olusegun Obasanjo. He is a chief in just a small community in Nigeria. But he has risen to the highest level as a General and Commander-in-Chief of the army. So, I repeat, I am talking about our President, General Olusegun Obasanjo’.
“Everybody clapped for me and then the Chairman asked me to go and sit down. I sat and that was the nail.
“So, when it came to the time for primaries, I said I won’t give them that pleasure of not seeking re-election, that I will go and that if people asked me in future why didn’t I go for a second term, I could tell them why.
“I’m a fighter, they will hit me but I won’t go out of the way. That is what happened. They just didn’t want me to return. At some point you moved.” http://dailypost.ng/2018/09/09/obasanjo-begging-not-run-second-term-senator-khairat/https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/obasanjo1.jpgLalasticlala Mynd44 |

I don't want to make the page heavy with pictures, otherwise, there are many more for you all to see...
Kwara belongs to Buhari and the APC right now..
All the APC needs to do in Kwara state is to ensure a thug-free and fair election in this state and see how wide the vote margin will be against the PDP
Saraki has since lost it in the state.. the local government election held recently showed this. He lost in all the local government but imposed his candidates on them through the Kwasiec chairman..
Many people don't want to hear his name again unless prison is mentioned along with it. |

Dare Omoju, a 39-year-old driver, has been arrested in Akure for sexually molesting and subsequently impregnating his neighbour’s daughter.
Omoju, who lives at 38, Ajegunle Street, behind Lao Petrol Station in Akure, was nabbed following a report by the minor's mother.
He was paraded before journalists on Friday at the office of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Akure, Ondo State.
Pedro Awili, the NSCDC State Commandant, said the suspect was nabbed following the report to the command.
According to Awili, Omoju's son, identified as Femi, had previously molested the girl.
"In the course of our investigation, Mr Omoju's son (who is called Femi), had earlier had sexual intercourse with this same girl some years back.
"The father, having discovered that, also took over from his son and continued the business of having sex with the same girl. Shamefully, the girl is already two months pregnant for him,” Awili said.
He added that the command found out that the suspect and the parents of the victim lived in the same neighbourhood.
However, Omoju denied having sexual intercourse with the girl.
“This small girl is lying against me,” he angrily told reporters.
The victim [name withheld] spoke to journalists and explained how father and son took advantage of her.
The 14-year-old secondary school student stated that the man always threatened her not to tell anyone about his actions.
Her words: "The first time he slept with me was in his house, when I came to play in their room with his daughter, who is also my age mate. I slept off in the house that day, but suddenly at night, he came to wake me up and raped me repeatedly.
"There was another day, in the same house, I was with his daughter and he sent her on an errand. While awaiting her return, he slept with me.
"It was my mother that discovered I was pregnant, when I vomited all over the place, and she immediately took me to the hospital for a test.
"The medical test was positive and I had to confess who impregnated me, which is Mr. Omoju.” http://saharareporters.com/2018/09/07/father-and-son-sleep-neighbours-14-year-old-daughter-till-she-gets-pregnanthttps://secure.saharareporters.com/sites/default/files/styles/normal_medium/public/Dare%20Omoju.jpg?itok=GUxfiirs |

Lies, deceit, corruption and anything evil you can imagine is synonymous with the PDP....and a few members of the APC |
Politics › Ekweremadu A Blackmailer, Never Gave APC Money – Party Chairman, Nwoye by midolian(op): 3:13pm On Sep 05, 2018 |
The All Progressives Congress, APC, Wednesday, described the statement by the Deputy Senate President, Chief Ike Ekweremadu that he gave the party N5m during its membership registration in 2014 as a cheap blackmail.
Chairman of the party in Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, who addressed journalists at the APC secretariat, challenged the Senator to name the person he gave the money.
DAILY POST reports that Ekweremadu had on Sunday while addressing his constituents after they purchased PDP nomination form for him, disclosed that he gave the APC N5m when it was experiencing funding challenges.
However, Nwoye said the party received “with total dismay, the report that he gave N5m to facilitate APC membership registration. That is the biggest political blackmail of the century.”
He said “I was elected chairman of APC in April 2014; I have never as a chairman met with Ike Ekweremadu one on one other than meeting him in public place, in church, where we exchange pleasantries, and by 2014, Senator Ike Ekweremadu was and is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party; so one wonders why a member of the PDP will be funding registration of members in APC.
“The report attributed to him indicated that he was doing so to help foster democracy; the unfortunate thing is that he never made mention of who he gave the money or where the money exchanged hands; instead he refers to an honourable minister, who at that time was a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Dr. Chris Ngige. As a democrat and a patriotic citizen, we respect the Deputy Senate President, he is a statesman, and he knows that his comments will be taken seriously and those comments if made are capable of destroying the democracy we all worked for.
“What still shocks me is that if Ike Ekweremadu has admitted funding the opposition, the PDP has refused to punish me, because that would be the height of anti-party; if he was in PDP and spending his money funding registration of members in an opposition party, which at the end of the day, by 2015, the opposition he helped to fund, took over power from his own party. Now one may now have to understand why he connived with some members of the National Assembly and emerged as the Deputy Senate President.
“Assuming, but without admitting that Senator Ike Ekweremadu somehow, somewhere, funded the registration of members of the great opposition party in 2014, it is awkward that he helped the APC to defeat his own party; but our record shows that it is a blackmail, it is falsehood that is geared towards causing disharmony and to undermine our great party, by suggesting that our party had no money to conduct its own registration. it could not be more farther from the truth. The registration done in 2014 and the one in 2017 was fully funded by progressives, those believed in the ability of the party to take over power; nobody solicited fund from Ekweremadu and he never made any overture to give fund.
“A high ranking member of the PDP finds it worthy to admit that he was funding opposition in Enugu State, if you take the story to be true, you ask why?
“We know what happened in 2015, either him or his arrogates sponsored candidates; he may have paid somebody N5m to help him procure a ticket, so that opposition will be oppressed, so that he will remain unchallenged.”
While describing it as “final desperate attempt to continue to hang on to power whether the people like it or not,” he added that “it will not work, the progressives have come together; APC has come to stay in Enugu State.
“Today we have Mr. Surveyor P.C Eze, Chief Gbazuagu Nweke Gbazuagu, Barr. Mrs. Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagu; these are all formidable forces who are prepared to take over from him; any of these persons is more than capable to win him whenever the votes are cast in 2019. So, this a final attempt to blackmail APC and cast a shadow of doubt on the opposition, which has been very strong and formidable in the past 3 years.” http://dailypost.ng/2018/09/05/ekweremadu-blackmailer-never-gave-apc-money-party-chairman-nwoye/lalasticlala mynd44 |
