Family › I Pay My Wife Upfront Before She Allows Us Have Sex – Man Tells Court by midolian(op): 3:37pm On Aug 24, 2018 |
Mr Yinka Alabi, 35, on Friday, pleaded with an Idi-Ogungun Customary Court, Agodi, Ibadan, not to dissolve his marriage in spite of his wife admitting to being raped by another man.
In his defense to a divorce suit filed by his wife, Funmilola, he told the court that although the woman claimed to have been raped in her office, he still loved her.
”My wife’s adulterous ways are terrible. She was in the habit of receiving her boyfriends’ calls in my presence, but my ill-health condition makes me to accept all her shortcomings.
”My lord, I urinate through the use of catheter and my wife knows what I’m passing through.
”I paid her upfront before allowing me to have sex with her, but I am not bothered because I love her and do not agree with the dissolution of our 10-year-old marriage.” Yinka said.
Earlier, Funmilola, 31, had urged the court to grant her divorce request, alleging constant brutality on her by the husband.
According to her, “Yinka is always suspicious that I engage in extra-marital affairs.
”He has no regard for my parents, so I can no longer endure his nagging and brutality,” she stated.
In his ruling, President of the court, Chief Mukaila Balogun, urged the parties to resolve the issue for the sake of the only child of the marriage.
Balogun advised the respondent to find means of reconciling with his wife since he did not want the marriage to end.
He, however, adjourned the case until August 31 for report of settlement or continuation of hearing. http://dailypost.ng/2018/08/24/pay-wife-upfront-allows-us-sex-man-tells-court/lalasticlala |

Mr Sowore said he is hopeful that his party will emerge successful in the 2019 presidential election. Someone once said... There is something wrong with the average Nigerian politician. He never learns from his mistakes. Every contest is treated as a game of chance (try your luck) and he expects to be declared winner in the end. It does not matter if there are more than a dozen political parties or if the contestants are more than half a dozen. Each party would boast of winning and expects to win, despite the odds. That is the lot of most politicians. Often living a lie or living in self denial. ..And it is true |

The presidential aspirant of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoleye Sowore, has said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed in all its promises and will lose in the 2019 general election.
Mr Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters, disclosed this on Channels TV Politics today on Wednesday while responding to questions on his chances of winning the 2019 presidential election.
He claimed that the current administration has failed in areas of security and improving the living condition of the people.
Mr Sowore said the ruling party is relying on propaganda to win the 2019 election.
“The party (APC) is a disaster, their programmes have not been implemented, they came that they want to protect the country in the areas of security but the story, you know as it is unfolding in Benue today, the Fulani herdsmen, you just have more ‘openings’.
“This government is going down, there is no question about it, and they know they are going down. They have some kind of false confidence that they could get unto the public because they have impoverished the public that they think if they distribute N5,000 in the next general election, they will be able to convince people and win the election. This is not confidence, it is arrogance and it is going to lead to political suicide,” Mr Sowore said.
The aspirant also said he believes Nigeria has become the poverty capital of the world.
“Nigeria just recently became the poverty capital of the world, taking over from India, that happened during the Buhari regime. A lot of killing of the military and civilians are still going on.
“The APC people are very good at propaganda. That is why we call them ‘All Propaganda Congress’.They have been able to lie in three years, they can’t lie (to) themselves now. They want to lie to win the next election.”
“And now they are buying votes, where do they get the money to buy votes in Ekiti? That’s because they have engaged in the same kind of political corruption the PDP engaged in then.”
Mr Sowore said he is hopeful that his party will emerge successful in the 2019 presidential election. https://i0.wp.com/media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2018/04/Sowore-e1524679638899.jpg?fit=860%2C486&ssl=1https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/281058-why-i-believe-apc-will-lose-2019-elections-sowore.htmllalasticlala |

2019 Presidency: We won’t micro zone ticket — PDP
ABUJA—Ahead of the 2019 Presidential election, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has ruled out any possibility of micro zoning its ticket to a particular geo-political zone in the north.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan, disclosed this in reaction to a call by the lawmaker representing Kano Central senatorial district, Rabiu Kwankwaso, that the PDP should pick its presidential candidate from the North-West to stand a better chance of ousting All Progressives Congress, APC, from Aso Rock in 2019.
Ologbondiyan, who had often insisted that the leadership of the party would not stand in the way of delegates in the determination of the PDP flag bearer for the 2019 presidential election, noted that all aspirants would reach out to delegates to present their plans for Nigerians ahead of the polls.
He said: “Senator Kwankwaso said what in his opinion, represents the best option for the PDP but as a party that is democratic, there is no way we will shut out any aspirant because of where he comes from.
“The party has encouraged them (aspirants) to reach out to Nigerians and present their plans so that at the end, the one that will emerge the candidate will carry the others along.
“I repeat, we are not going to shut anybody out of the presidential race because we believe each of these aspirants has what it takes to outperform President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC if given the opportunity to preside over the affairs of this nation.”
The North-West currently has formidable aspirants on the platform of the PDP, including Senator Ahmed Makarfi, former governor of Kaduna State, his Kano and Sokoto states’ counterparts, Ibrahim Shekarau, and Attahiru Bafarawa respectively as well as erstwhile Special Duties Minister, Tanimu Turaki, and businessman, Sen. Datti Baba-Ahmed. https://www.google.com.ng/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2018/08/2019-presidency-we-wont-micro-zone-ticket-pdp/amp/

Sharpshooota: This country is dead
The youths are fools
Recycling ancestors bereft of ideas as leaders cannot take us anywhere....
Before I was born... Buhari ruled this country Today he is president and youths are still clamouring for him to continue... A man whose only achievement in office is to gallivant round London hospitals as non is efficient in the country...
Yet youths who can't afford three square meals fight for selfish politicians... All on the alter of religious and ethnic sentiments Recycling which ancestors? You support Atiku who is a fresh ancestor because you have baseless hatred for Buhari and you are here preaching.. The youths of this country are far worse when it comes to corruption than the ancestors..I won't argue with you over this.. But Man, it's not about the age. It's about the intention. Buhari means well and he is proving it already. Another 4yrs will do. Thanks... |
