Any fans of obscure indie movies should quote my post with a list.As for movies in 2019 I enjoyed the french movie-Portrait of a lady on fire.
There was a post on this thread a few weeks ago on how to download movies and tv shows with---index? .If anyone remembers it please repost it.It will be much appreciated
You can also check out the 2018 French movie called Climax .It's a horror film about a dance troupe at a party whose drink got spiked with a drug and the party attendees end up carrying out heinous acts on themselves. It's a slow burn, has nice choreographed dance scenes and it's songs are fantastic

I just watched the Watchmen tv show and I must say the story and the characters in it are uninteresting. The Watchmen tale was always meant to be a one-off and expanding on it especially without jaded characters like The Comedian and Rorschach was always going to be difficult

- Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood

Acting was superb. Literally everyone, from the no name hippie actors to the all A listers. Fighting scenes were truly funny. I loved the OTT violence that got the hippie bunch in the end. Music was amazing, it was shot beauteously, it was colorful, full of life. Immersion was amazing, I'd watch the big 3 just living their lives for hours.

Having said that, I still can't deduce why Quentin made Bruce Lee look akin to a pompous ass douche and a loser. Quentin said in an interview that Bruce Lee was actually like that, that Bruce Lee actually said he could kill Ali, but in fact, Bruce said exactly the opposite, that he would be killed by Ali easily.

Some people said that scene was a dream sequence or Cliff's imagination, but it seemed more like Cliff reminiscing about something that genuinely transpired. That scene was such a bummer.
The film was incredibly meandering to me.It's duration was over 2hrs 30mins.The story could have been easily concluded in 1hr 30mins.Another issue is,if one doesnt know anything about the Manson murders and it's key players,it will be difficult to follow the story.I also believe that Bruce Lee "controversy" was created to make more people head to the cinema to watch the film. Many of the characters also led nowhere but I liked the films' music, costumes and sets.Quentin is a legend but this film has to rank as one of my least favorite from his stable.

Alien franchise is just getting started. They have two more sequels planned.

The Matrix is unresolved. A truce can only last for so long.

I agree with you on Die Hard franchise.
I am aware of the upcoming Alien movies which will still be a disappointment(excluding Alien and Aliens).Too bad Neill Blomkamps'(writer and director of District 9) ideas for the franchise were all binned.
As for the Matrix, what other story is there to tell?Neo is dead,Agent Smith is gone and the Oracle and the engineer came to a resolution to maintain balance between the humans and machines. My points are not odd. That's why there was a muted reaction to the announcement of Matrix 4.
That lone Wachowski is grasping at straws to save "her" career since it went sideways with Cloud atlas and jupiter ascending

What's your point?
Matrix:Reloaded and Revolutions were below par sequels to the original film. The story after the first movie had nowhere to go/nothing new to add/was poorly executed.
The franchise should be laid to rest.Same goes for the terminator, Die Hard and Alien franchises

Not really. Unlike the Terminator franchise, None of the Matrix films bombed. Also it ended kind of unresolved, so there is still a story to tell.
The Terminator franchise peaked after its second installment while the Matrix peaked after the first movie

Spike Lee hates white people Most of his films reflect that. His filmography is filled with trash, but there are couple diamonds in the rough buried in there.
That is a statement always levelled towards his films by his detractors who dont want more people to view them.He criticized black people in School Daze and The 25h Hour (which i consider to be his best work)had a white lead

Hello.I have watched most of his films except Chi-raq . Jungle Fever and Do the Right Thing usually get all the credit as his best works but my personal choices are his 1988 film School Daze (I wish everyone could watch this film) and his 2002 film called The 25th Hour which starred Edward Norton.Spike Lees' films are hard hitting, reflective and educational

Terminator Dark Fate- 6/10

Great action, interesting dialogue. However, we have seen it all before. Terminator comes back to kill somebody and the somebody has a protector.

The action is crazy though.
That franchise has got to move beyond the time travel gimmick and get to the fracking war just like Terminator:Salvation

Yes.I have watched all the episodes. It is not as good as season two to four (which were spectacular) but it still has those poignant moments that lives on in one's memory days/weeks/months after its first view

I admire your optimism but I believe anyone who helms any GOT prequel/sequel will still be affected by the changes in the western cultural zeitgeist which finds their way into creative endeavours and indirectly ruins them

Well, your views in regards to BB is wank_. It goes contrary to popular opinion. Season 5 is the best, and highest rated season of BB, and yet according to you, it's unnecessary (??). A lot of loose ends were tied in Season 5, like the main plot line(Walter White's) and whatnot. Even at that, Jesse's subplot didn't get tied until this month with El Camino.

So like I said, either you weren't paying attention to the plot lines, or you skipped a lot of expository episodes.
Yes.Season 5 was unnecessary. Are you saying Jesse Pinkman didn't become unlikeable in the fifth season from episode nine to sixteen?Throwing his stash out of his car window and being an annoying emotional wreck. The Walter character becoming a God even dying like Neo(from the matrix) in season five episodes nine to sixteen. The Todd character was just meh and his dullness was on full display in the disappointing El Camino special episode?movie?Personally,I prefare calling it a cash grab

I have no idea what you're on about, bro. You have completely lost me. Either you watched BB wrong, or you skipped a lot of episodes.

This IMDb episode ratings of BB will show you how wrong you're about the show.

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls009044565/
The creator of Breaking Bad Vince Gilligan said he wanted to depict a program where a nice guy would turn into a bad guy.In the finale of season 4 when Walter told his wife "he won" and when the camera panned to the ricin plant in the final shot,it showed how Walter had lied to Jesse that Gus Fring had poisoned the little boy.Walter had completely turned into the bad guy Vince desired.
As for IMDB,i don't really care about others ratings about shows and movies.I make up my views myself.I really do like Breaking Bad but other shows are better

The Wire would have come good at the top, if not for that dud of a season 5. That epic failure of a season took a lot out of the show. HBO should have ended it at season 4 IMO.

The Sopranos had an abundance of fillers, and it kinda reduced the quality, overall. Had more fun watching Broadwalk Empire and Gomorrah than The Sopranos, tbh. Still a great show nonetheless, but doesn't compare to BB in terms of core quality and consistency. Just my opinion though.
True. The wires' fifth season is not really good but that mainly has to do with the seasons that came before it being so stellar(especially season 4)it was never going to live up to the high standard the shows' creators had set.
Fillers in The Sopranos? What episode? What season? The show is a masterpiece.I have watched the series numerous times and searched for any hint of inferiority.I have found NOTHING.Funnily enough,i also consider Boardwalk Empire and Mad Men better shows than Breaking Bad

What are you talking about, buddy? It got good from the get go, and consistently amended as the story and characters developed. The world building in BB is one of the best I've seen, and only The Wire's world building surpassed it, and only just.

It peaked at "Ozymandias" (antepenultimate episode), not season 4. Season 5 in general is the best season of Television that I've had the pleasure of visually perceiving.
What was Vince Gilligans' main purpose for creating Breaking Bad?In his own words; "To turn Mr Chips into Scarface".In the finale of season 4,Walters' circle was complete. What then was the reason for season 5?Finding out if he would get caught? The shows creators were never going to allow that.Another grouse I have with the show is how "hollywoodesque" it ended.Walter dying was too easy a conclusion. He should have been arrested by Hank and jailed.I also hated that machine gun in the trunk gimmick.

If we're going to venture into a debate as regards the greatest TV show of the 21st century, there's only one contender IMO - Breaking Bad.

For starters, it captured the TV zeitgeist like no other show. I have never been as overwhelmingly addicted to a show as BB. During its ridiculously riveting 4th and 5th seasons, I remember physically shaking with excitement before and after every episode. Like a serious meth addict, I was very anxious of when I'll get my next fix.

I leant a lot of things from that show; I learnt that a gigantic magnet hidden in a van packed adjacent to a precinct, could destroy a laptop in a police lockup. I leant the basics on how to set up a meth lab in a caravan, and how to rig a firearm in the trunk of my car, etc. In over five seasons and 62 episodes, there wasn't a single dud episode. There's only a handful of TV show that can boast of similar pristine level of consistency. Vince Giligan (the creator) was the ultimate perfectionist.

Conversely, GoT is overrated for the fact it has two off seasons. Season 1 to 3 were the strongest, season 4-6 were also good but not as good as 1-3, season 7 was poor compared to it's predecessors, and Season 8 was straight up a dumpster fire - as terrible as terrible gets. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic medieval fantasy, and was full of quality, but on closer and sober scrutiny, it's not all that it's cranked up to be. It's media machine is one of the best I've ever seen though. The way it jam it down the throat of everyone, you'd think GoT's the next thing since slice bread.

Bottom line, BB is better, my friend. What may seem like an overblown reputation to some people is nothing but justified.
You always over-praise that show. The earlier episodes in its first season were not even good. The second and third(excluding "The Fly" episode) seasons were superb and the show peaked in its fourth season.Episodes one to eight in its fifth season were alright but nine to sixteen weren't.

I actually felt the same way when I finished breaking bad.. You know when you finish a series and you don't know what else to do with your life.. I went on YouTube and started watching every content of breaking bad I could find.. Watching breaking bad is like an adrenaline rush you get when you driving at a top speed.. You just don't wanna stop.. Or else the excitement is over...Nothing compares to it on TV.. Nothing
Calm down.Breaking Bad isn't even as good as The Wire and The Sopranos

Even with my bias for e online and pull up shit on Marvel just for the fun of it or to spite rival fans. If I was even forced to do that I'll try my best to come up with FACTS as my Defense. Not cook up piss I can't verify.
If warner bros could turn a light-hearted superhero like the superman in the movies in the 1970s and 80s portrayed by Chris Reeve to the sulking, brooding hulk portrayed by Mr Cavill in MOS nothing would have stopped them from continuing in that same tone with aquaman and shazam. That strategy failed woefully.Hence their re-strategizing of their movies tone to.possess a more light hearted tone.
Try and learn how to summarize your posts. You have a habit of repeating the points in your posts

Oga stop saying shit and passing it off as facts!! Which earlier DC movies failed woefully. The only one you can term failure is Josstice League critically and financially.

ALL DCEU MOVIES HAVE MADE MONEY/PROFIT except Josstice League.

As a matter of fact DC's first 5-7 movies made more money than Marvel's, so stop with all this failure mantra. It was a mixed bag critically being as some were divisive amongst fans and moviegoers alike, but to say failure, You're purely saying trash derived from hatred for DC.

And please stop giving us the excuse that you are a neutral or fan of BOTH.
You completely missed the point. If the earlier DCEU movies were so good as you claim, why didn't Warner bros continue with that tone? Why did Warner bros decide to adopt/copy the more light-hearted tone of the marvel movies in their latter films?
The fact that I like something does not mean I should not criticise it.I have been a harsh critic of infinity war and endgame despite being a fan of marvel movies
