Money, money and more money, that's all we ever talk about in relationships. Our society is the poster child for the destructive effects of corruption and placing material considerations above all else.

We shall all be here to witness the complete destruction of Nigeria.
It is a highly destructive mindset. How can a woman like a man because of his money?Impossible. It is the money she likes not the man. When or if the money goes, the woman also goes.If a woman tells any man "he can't afford her" that man should RUN

Do you even consider the work rate in Senegal team? sometimes he goes back win tackles bring the ball to the front only to find himself amidst 3 defenders with no support, most times he overworked when the chances comes he doesn't get it right whereas in Liverpool it isn't so, firmino brings d ball for him and salah to score
Quit defending the indefensible. This is an issue that not only affects Mane but many of the African football "stars" in Europe.
They simply don't give their best to their national teams. We both know it

Sadio Mane has not sacrificed anything for Senegal neither is he doing Senegal favour by playing for them.
It is a great honour to represent one's country. If he performs when he plays for Senegal,no one would boo him but he doesn't

You are right.Thesame thing happens to Messi in Argentina.
I can't really blame team cohesion. You may have noticed how many African players based in Europe don't give their best to their national teams. From Mane to Mikel (when he was a starter at Chelsea FC)Moses also at Chelsea FC even Aubameyang refused to play for Gabon this weekend because he had an "injury".
Very annoying.I don't blame the Senegalese fans for their behaviour one bit

I made them see me as not only a handsome face but an interesting personality. I also learned the art of cracking jokes and implanting the effect for humour..

Girls will always fall for someone funny!.. It has been proven.

@emboldened Then you are not really handsome.Truly handsome guys have zero need to be funny, have money or even possess any sort of personality for them to attract ladies. All they has to do is exist

I tender my unreserved apology. Wasn't my intention to be rude. You did give the impression that someone is forcefeeding you the show, though. Just saying.
No problem.
The fact that we have differing views about those "hot button" issues does not mean we should be at loggerheads.
No one forced me to watch the program but I enjoy David Simon shows and their themes.
All I want to do is watch a good story. So when I see things that used to be done behind closed doors and viewed as specific fetishes being displayed in full view on a network (No matter how premium it is)I find it very jarring.
You have got to understand this and those with similar views to mine.

I don't know what you mean by "too clean", cuz it's apparent from where I'm standing that you're letting your personal prejudices and bias get in the way. The highlighted only served to make the show stronger and better, not weaker. The writing and world building has been exceptional, and have left enough room for plot longevity. You don't have to watch, you know. No be by force.
The second season was not as good as the first because it pandered too much to certain demographics.
The story suffered because of that.
What is with the "No be by force" line? Why so rude because I have a contrary view to yours about a tv program?

Actually, it's inspired by true events, If you do your research, you will know that the timeline that mirrors the show, the 70s and 80s, that's when minority groups such as women, LGBT started fighting for their rights It has to blend that with the plot because that's what the story is about or in your vocab "wokeness"
WRONG!!!
The groups you mentioned began having equal rights in the US with the advent of the civil rights movement from the 50s through to the 60s.
I am right with the "wokeness" portion of my post. From the depiction of the very masculine character Frank having sex with a transvestite,to the ex-who.re Dorothy confronting her former pim.p CC because she had magically transformed into a "strong" woman,to the black lady Dolores complaining about not receiving equal pay like her white porn performers to the excessive display of gay sex acts.
Wokeness, wokeness at every turn.It completely destroyed my viewing experience and this once splendid program

The Deuce Season 2

Really good so far.

BTW, Homecoming from Amazon Prime is so freaking good. Can't recommend it enough.
The first season was great. It was grim, bleak and challenging.
The pimps,the filthy streets,the whores,their clients,the corrupt,jaded law enforcers.
The second season? Not so much.Too "clean"
The high end club, the mob, women empowerment, pimps turning "good" and seeing "the light",too much gay stuff, transgender bull blah blah blah
Too much "wokeness" ruined it

"and if foreigners start killing them now" really? You're struggling to justify South Africa xenophobia. Should I post crimes carried out by Italians around the world? Should Italians be murdered too wherever they go because of crimes committed by Italians elsewhere? What of Russians, Polish people? Brits, Americans etc? Nigeria is apparently a Nation of 190 million people with supposedly million abroad in other nations, Italian population is just over 59million. You want us to compere the crimes carried out by us horrible Nigerians abroad to those carried out by Italians outside Italy?
Great post but sadly,it won't stop Nigerians from being the most self-loathing negroes on planet earth

No real fans of Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad will ever call Jimmy McGill aka Saul Goodman boring . It's almost sacrilegious. You know what, I don't think you like this show at all. If you honestly think Jimmy and some part of the show were boring, you might as well stop watching, cuz they are never gonna get any better for you.

At the highlighted, man, what are you talking about? Ever heard of plot development? The beautiful thing about this show is how much time it spends on world building that might not look like much at first, but will prove to be significant later. Fantastic writing. The unfinished underground meth lab arc was necessary. Remember that Lalo showed up just in time to start sniffing around? This unfinished underground meth lab arc that you consider boring and unnecessary, will be a huge bone of contention next season. Plot development/world building 101. You can't get to point C without going through point A. Will be super interesting to see how things turn out between the Salamacas and Gus, esp since Lalo already knew of the underground facility's existence, thanks to the naivety of Werner Ziegler. Every scene is necessary in this show, bro, no matter how mundane.
-I criticise Jimmys character on BCS because I have been a fan of his right from BB.I started watching BB in 2012.Back when many people had no inkling what BB was.
-You are right.I never liked this programs S1 (It was just too slow and it went nowhere) but simply because I am a fan of the BB world,i watched S2(It was alright but not so good)I persisted and watched S3 and it was a masterpiece that I fell deeply in love with.My expectations were super high for S4 and it disappointed me..badly.That was when i realized i liked S3 so much because it had alot of the neo-noir elements of the later seasons of BB.The noir shots work very well in the desert setting and not so well in the city.
-I don't like that Lalo character and I still believe the German lab subplot was just filler because the writers had no new direction for the show to take

You weren't paying attention, perhaps? Jimmy changed a lot. His character underwent a series of metamorphosis, before coming full circle to become who he always was, but with more experience and ruthlessness.

He started out as "slipping Jim", a con artist. Then, he became a lawyer because he geniunely wanted to make a difference and also please his big brother, Chuck, whom he looked up to. But his true nature got in the way, and he started to apply his shady ways to his practise. Eventually, he left (fired?) his bother's firm to start his own with Kim (a love interest). Gave it a fair shake, but ultimately got suspended from practising law by Albuquerque Bar association, for malpractice. Then, Chuck killed himself. At first Jim thought it was his fault, and even when Howard took the blame, Jim still battling with unresolved issues relapsed to his "slipping Jim" days. When his suspension has ran it's course, he applied to get his licence back, but failed. That was the turning point for Jim. He realized then and there that to get somewhere in life, you've got to apply significant amount of dishonesty and ruthlessness in appropriate moments. So he successfully appealed, by lying through his teeth, and fooled everyone, including Kim. That's when he decided to become the shady lawyer we came to know and like in Breaking Bad, the infamous Saul Goodman, which is actually a play of words and actually meant "it's all good, man".

Bottom line, Jim is one the most interesting characters in the show, man. His story arcs are always interesting to watch. He started out as "slipping Jimmy", tried to improve and prove himself, and ultimately ended up as "slipping Jimmy 2.0".

Hmn... Gus certainly added a lot of dynamism to the show, but before he joined the cast, two sole headliners were Jim and Mike. Nacho and Hector were just side characters. Glorified plot props, basically.

Kim, Chuck and Howard were very necessary. Collectively, they form the foundation of Jim's origin story. Their actions were catalytical to what he became. Chuck was the disapproving brother that often looked down at him, tried to get him disbarred, and ultimately disowned him. Kim was the love interest, that always try to influence him in a positive way, but often find herself becoming the influencee. Tried to start a law firm with him, but eventually abandoned the project to become a partner in a big law firm. Their actions inadvertently pushed Jim towards the Saul Goodman path.

The subplot was actually very interesting, and necessary.

Who doesn't? They give me the creeps. They were badass in Breaking Bad too. I would love to see another spinoff solely dedicated to their origin stories.

You ain't alone. Alas, the guy is not getting any younger (he's 60-ish). The age factor will definitely get in the way. Unless they can find a much younger version of him, I don't see that happening.
-I am really surprised there are still fans of BCS who don't consider Jimmy and his story arcs as boring and monotonous. He does something negative,Chuck or Kim help him out and try to get him on the straight and narrow path,Jimmy tries to then falters.Rinse and repeat since the 1st season right up to the 4th one.
It has happened so many times,Kim decided to join his schemes.
-As for the German subplot,if the show writers really had a solid story to tell, they wouldn't have wasted so many useful minutes on showing us how the meth lab was constructed but they didn't so.....German meth lab construction subplot
-I wasnt really expecting Giancarlo Esposito to play a younger version of Gustavo

I don't think he's criticizing your grammar, since I can't really see anything wrong with it. I think he's flabbergasted that you fingered Jimmy (a character the show is based on) as the most boring main character in the tv show, esp since Jimmy is anything but boring. I could be wrong, though.

Definitely not the most interesting, but not the least either. Far from it. He's somewhere between Mike and Gus imo.
-Jimmy has been doing thesame thing since the first season. He isn't really developing as a character. He is just there. His scams are boring not impressive.
-Mike, Nacho even Hector Salamanca were the most interesting characters on the program(in season 2) until Gustavo joined them in the brilliant S3.
-The other characters I don't like are Kim and Chuck. What is their purpose on the program?Dramatic effect?Comedy?Romance?Family dynamics?
-I didn't really enjoy S4 unlike S3.That German lab construction subplot was so boring.I think the program should have one good season remaining.
-It's always nice to see the Salamanca twins(Just look at those shoes in the pic below)
-Am I the only one who would love to see a program based on Gustavo Fring origins?
I can only hope
