life is all about risks, their own risk is not worse than that of commercial bus drivers, electricians, even brick layers and roofers, construction workers and health workers. People die even in many ways even in their homes on bikes and so on, so let's them face their jobs and do it without complaints or try to hype anything.
they are never complaining. unlike them, the people you mentioned never think of death even though they know it will surely come one day, it just happened to them by accident. they (soldiers) think death, see death coming and they still move toward it; which is not the case with the people you mentioned.

Unfortunately they actually ran, more unfortunately there are more people willing to join due to the spirit of father land and due to unemployment, my dear friend... If i sign up on my own Accord i won't ask for pity when rendering the services I signed up for.. More importantly we all can't be in the military and wen I'm in my place of duty I'm still in the cycle of service to father land..
seriously, these guys are not asking for pity, what the writer was saying is that it is not easy at all in the war zone and they needed our prayers. they face death face to face, they witnessed their colleagues falling beside them. but they continued, not minding whose turn is next. bros, have u find urself in a situation where u need to reside ur last prayers inside ur heart, like entering one chance vehicle? i pray u dont.

over 85 percent of them joined out of unemployment, and u will want to address dat category as gallants as well right?
if your claim is true, then we supposed to have no soldier in our barracks again. the reason been that according to your mathematics out of every 10 soldiers more than 8 joined force because of unemployment, now that soldiers are falling any how more than 8 of every ten soldiers would have ran away. in all, more than 80% of soldiers would have took to their heels. then boko haram would have no soldiers to kill because less than 2 out of every 10 soldiers remaining that you claimed joined the job to willfully defend their nation with the last drop of their blood will equally run away.
employment or unemployment in as much as they still put on the khaki and still go to where u and i cant go, they are still gallant and deserve our prayers, bro.

Soldiers do not compare themselves with civilians. They believe they are doing their duty so they never ask for sympathy. This is fake!

Guy, abeg face front... If you are not willing to face all those ills as a soldier, then you have no business buying the army form.... like i said earlier, nobody forced them into it.
YES. they were not forced but they love their country that is the reason they put their lives in the line to defend it. and that should not stop them from counting their loses simply because they were not forced.

Politics / We Have More Dangerous Enemies Than Boko Haram In This Country by mightycrown1(m): 11:36am On Dec 28, 2015
went they heard any rumour that boko haram destroyed a village killed 5000, adopted 500, they will never wait to confirm before they begin their crocodile sympathy as usual, condemning the military.
but wen they heard a confirmed news that the military intercepted and destroyed just one boko haram they begin to cry "na lie, na lie"

you can see, we have more dangerous enemies than boko haram

Politics / Insurgence Is More Difficult, Time Consuming And Expensive To Fight Than War by mightycrown1(m): 10:29am On Dec 26, 2015
Though, insurgence may not claim as many lives as do the real war, it is more difficult, time consuming and more expensive to fight than the real war. The following are some of the reasons why it is more difficult to end than the real war:

1. The territory is not perfectly defined:
Unlike in war where the territory of the enemy is known and massive offensive attacks can be descended on them, In insurgence the enemy are within the society, with the law abiding citizens; even at times in the same bed with the citizens thereby it becomes difficult to easily wipe them out without harming the law abiding citizens.

2. Gathering of intelligence is easier for the enemy than for the security agents
Unlike in war, where the force find it tough to gather intelligence to fight their enemy; gathering of intelligence is easier for the enemy since they leave within the society, use the same public places ( mosques, churches, recreation centers, markets etc. ) as the ordinary citizens do; and their true identities are not easily known. They go about monitoring and studying the security operatives to know their strength, their state of morale, their movement and so on. Some even go as far as to become the security agents' errand boys.

3. The causes of the insurgence are mostly not defined:
Unlike in war where the causes are known, at times the causes of insurgence are unknown which make it diffucult for solutions to be offered, thereby prolonging the fight. As in Nigeria boko haram insurgence.

4. when it is been sponsored or fuelled by the people in government (ruling or opposition party)
As in nigeria where the present and immediate past administrations are pointing accusing fingers at each other of sponsoring boko haram. The truth of which only God knows. If this allegation is true, it makes the insurgence to be prolonged as it is used by the opposition party to discredit the ruling party and vice versa.

5. It may be used as a means of siphoning public monies into the account of few individuals in government.
Good number of greedy individuals in government use the opportunities of the insurgence to enrich themselves by diverting the fund which supposed to be used for fighting the insurgence into their private accounts. they may even take some steps that will empower the insurgence to gain more ground in order to prolong it and as well as to have a justification to squeeze more monies out of the public account to their individual accounts in disguise of fighting the insurgence they indirectly empowered. Dansukigate is a good example.

These and many more, i think makes an insurgence a bigger war.
You can add your own.
