That's his profession and from where he earns his living. Soldiers like him should know that they are neither the strongest, the most patriotic, the bravest nor the most endangered.
Some have died in their beds from a crashing plane while others have died where they went to pray for Nigeria and for the soldiers. Many have died from frustration because they couldn't even be allowed into the Army. I'm tempted to consider this soldier one of those who were recruited into the army by godfatherism.
There are 'born-soldiers' who live as civilians and nothing feels sadder. People like me have gone for several intakes, passed recruitment exercises but were finally not enlisted because we lacked godfathers. He should be happy he will die a soldier; it's a rare privilege.

Guy, abeg face front... If you are not willing to face all those ills as a soldier, then you have no business buying the army form.... like i said earlier, nobody forced them into it.

And in ur mind u are saying what's right?

They aren't forced to buy the form
But have seen people's passion in this army tin saying they just wanna defend the our father land. I've never have a single thought of joining the army but I keep praising those having that great interest of joining the army saying that's what they want.

Stop saying this o
They are not forced to buy d form and join the army BT dey choose to defend u.
#continue praying on their behalf

Who sent you message, your leader created, let him destroy. We are here suffering all thanks to our inconclusive government, the same government that created 'boko haram'. I am tired of the word 'Nigeria'.

YES. they were not forced but they love their country that is the reason they put their lives in the line to defend it. and that should not stop them from counting their loses simply because they were not forced.
over 85 percent of them joined out of unemployment, and u will want to address dat category as gallants as well right?

Thank you for your service to the nation.

But are soldiers and pilots really heroes especially when they die in the line of duty?
If I go to work on an offshore platform as an engineer and die , will I be considered a hero?
Were they not fully aware of the risks involved in their line of duty? Are they not paid to do their jobs?
