Zambia gets a White President... Guy Scott (pictured below with his wife and the Obamas) was sworn in today as the interim president of Zambia following the death of Zambian president Michael Sata yesterday Oct. 28th. This makes Mr Scott, who is of Scottish descent but born in Zambia the first white president in Africa since apartheid. Guy Scott, 70, became vice-president of Zambia in 2011 and will serve as interim-president pending when the country holds fresh elections for a new president within 90 days. The Zambian constitution makes it impossible for Scott to be president because his parents were not born in Zambia. Source www.lindaikeji.blogspots.nl

Strange UFO Twin-Lights-Object Appear Over Maiduguri Residents of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital were yesterday evening greeted to a strange object in Maiduguri sky, causing panic of some sort among some residents. Two twin-lights fired its way for at least 30 seconds in the sky above Maiduguri Wednesday night, witnesses called to inform KSM News. While some residents thought it was a rocket, others felt it was surveillance drone, however after observing that it was stagnant and not moving, people began to run for cover, thinking it is an attack. The military did not give any formal prior information that it is testing its equipment. Sources from the military later on said they are not even aware of the twin-lights. Additionally, aircraft lights are not expected to stay stagnant as this was. Witnesses said whatever it was was completely silent. The Civilian JTF in Maiduguri, many who witnessed it said they have vowed to keep vigil in the capital city. "But there is no cause for alarm. We are monitoring the situation. We are going to intensify our patrol of the city. " Modu Gambo, a member of the CJTF told KSM Source: www.unimaidbackyard.edu.ng |

She looks pretty much like her dad. I have fund memories of Oneya back then in kano. Condolense to the oneyas. |
. |
And why is unimaid no.20, a school with over 50 emiretus and over 100 professors? Op Bring dat ur head (knocks the block head) oya carry am go numba 1 |
Ok the 50naira "toll" is a naija phenomenon, and as a matter of fact, I dont call them check points, but collection point. Ur a student of unimaid? Where in maid do u stay? |
And u expect an ovation that u are coming to maid? Am in maid too and so what? |
Odilafta: Everything we do in life and life itself,is a copy of the original copy.....Reincarnation per say.I don't belong to this school of thought. "Reincarnation" |
pweedyuz: nd wen dat happens...i pause,,look at my frnd or sister(if dey r in dere wid me) nd say "iv done dis b4 or iv said sumtin lyk dis b4"On one of such occasions, I was walkin with a frend, and I felt a dejavu, and suddenly, he tapped me and said "Daniels, has this happend before"? And I said yea and we laughed. I was just so shocked dat we were in the same realm of dejavu. |
fiftynaira: In my younger years I felt I was the only one in the world that experince such until I grew much olderFunny. |
jhimmy: Yep.. Experience it frequently.. My mum used to say it means you'v existed before...lolLols! Dats the irony. Upon realizing it, it just vanishes off ur memory. But like seriosly, it scared the life out of me |
tomiobj: never fly arik. Its a terrible flight. Local or international always avoid arikAn eye opener anyways |
This morning after getting dressed and all set for work, stepping out of the flat I flagged down a cab and almost immedietly a colleague horned behind me to enter his car, and I pleaded with the cab guy to go. And Like a flash it dawned on me that that incident had occurred before on sameday, same time, same cab, same colleague,on same color of shirt.... Don't knw if I was hallucinating or something but am so sure that was a re-occurance. I get this feeling once in a while, am I the only one experiencing this? |
laivwire: Of the many domestic airlines around, I still prefer Dana anytime. Apart from one of their new planes, they have one of the best in flight services. I was as disappointed as you are when I boarded Arik. Despite being one of the most expensive, it was that measly meal I was served. For almost 40k oh.Would try Dana, coz af always felt Arik is d best In the local routes |
ifax: Well u r lucky they served u juice. On an abuja- accra flight last week, we were served water and bread!Lols!!! So funny, if na me ehn..... |
Rocktation: That's the only thing they always have on their(arik) menu, I believe...cakes with water/juice, irrespective of what time of the day you're on them. Aero does coke and biscuits, which is way tackier, so drink on the fact that you weren't served that. Most of their interstate flights usually don't last longer than 45-1hr, so you can't expect to see pounded yam and veggies as though you're at a wedding nau.Let's say I was over-expectant due to my situation. |
TunjiMsp: Seriously, are you are expecting pounded yam and egusi soup on your 18000 naira abiU must be kiddin for sayin its 18k from kano to pH. 29800 it is bro. |
RockyTeee: you for swallow the thing make your stomach rejoice small naThey fall ma hand no be small. |
jerflakes: Ok you leave am shey? Then you never hungry yet. No talk say you been dey hungry again.Na out of vexation I leave o! |
And u expect an ovation that u are coming to maid?
