Congrats!! aamey15: Hello Everyone, So hubby, my son and I just got our Visa approved today but ehn it wasn't easy oo... Find below the conversation between us and the VO VO: Hello good afternoon, sorry for keeping you waiting Hubby: Its fine thank you VO: Can I have your passports please Hubby: Gave him VO: he looked through it and was like okay, where are you going to, how long will you be dere for and where will you be staying Hubby: 2 week, Chicago and with my uncle VO: I See you travelled in November last year why and for how long Hubby: Stated everything( hubby for 2 weeks and myself and son for 4 month- We went for a family vacation and we stayed back to have my daughter VO: At your interview in June 2015 you said you were going for 2 weeks and not seeking medical attention Hubby: At the time we didn't know we were pregnant as i was still breastfeeding my son..so we just wanted to go for holiday. When we found out I fell ill and couldn't travel so we all decided to travel in November and I sent a change of Intent to notify the ambassy VO: WELL THE CHANGE OF INTENT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE me: Oh really.. i didn't know VO: When did you have your daughter Me: xx feb 2016 VO: Counting the number of months with his fingers to reconfirm what I said( At this point I was thing chai wahala dey o) Where did you have you daughter and can i have her passport pls Me: Cook county hospital John Stroger VO: Can I have proof of that please Me: Hands over all receipts, zero balance and invoices VO: Who was your doctor Me: Dr xxxxx, then I handed over the records of all my antenatal visits with her ( I kept everything oo thank God) VO: Looks through the receipts and exclaimed whao so expensive, what about the dr's fee.. Me: I explained that it was all encompassing( John stronger has a package for self pay.. I dunno if they have anymore but the cost was about small for dr, birth and pead so I showed him the breakdown)..in my mind I was like expensive ke... great bargain oo.. I just kept quiet VO: Kept on writing and writing. he asked hubby and my self what we do and where we work.. Hubby and I answered VO: Where else have you travelled to: Hubby: Hajj last year, VO: Asked me if I went with him.. Me: I said I didn't coz I was still breast feeding my daughter at the time... VO: OKAY.. typed for another like 3 -4mins... Handed over our documents and said we should pick our visa.. VO: Please when next you are going to birth abroad please you need to get a medical visa, the change of intent does not go into your individual files do we don't have records of such.Sending it does not make a difference you have to schedule a new interview for medical visa Me and Hubby: Okay we will do Thank God we got it oo.. glad I said the truth and I am truly happy.

Happy Sunday great mothers and fathers in this house and greeting to all expectant mothers in the house planning to embark on the missionary journey. I came across this forum in my quest for information as regards the process of acquiring US visa for childbirth, I am here to say thank you to all that helped me out during the filling of the DS 160 form for me, my wife and baby. They went for their interview alone, this is because I choose a different date due to my work and will be going for my interview on a later date. The interview went well….. here is the transcript of what my wife told me. DW: Good morning madam with a smile. VO: Good morning, your passport please, DW: Gave her 2 passports VO: who owns the second passport?. DW: Its for my 19months old little daughter she was here but ran out to play with some kids. VO: Go and get her I want to see her. VO: how many kids do u have and reason for your visit to the US? DW: I have just her, but I am having another soon. Reason for visit is to have my baby and for family vacation. VO: Where is your husband now and why is he not here with you? DW: He cannot make it down here because of his job schedule but will come for his interview at a later date. I have his letter showing he is to take charge for the whole expenses of this trip. VO: I don’t need it, give me the bank statement and which of the hospital are you using and how did you hear about the hospital? DW: Handed over the statement of account, a family friend used same doctor and recommended him to us. VO: why do you choose to have your baby in the US? DW: Am a medical doctor and I wasn’t treated well in my last delivery . VO: what have you done to improve in the health care delivery in Nigeria. DW: I work in a Christian hospital and we treat patients based on our God fearing nature…………… VO cuts her off while checking the bank statement, DW peeped and saw that she hasn’t checked the second bank statement, so she reminded her that there was another bank statement she was not checking and VO said ,” I won’t be needing that” , by then my daughter was struggling with DW to run out again to play, as she bent down to hold our daughter, all she heard was “ i have approved visa for you both, kindly go through the guidelines for childbirth in the US, she handed her two white papers. She picked up their visa two days after from DHL at wuse II. I give the ALMIGHTY CREATOR thanks for his mercy, and confirming the word of his servant. Want to also thank all the gurus here in the house for the whole write up and a big thanks to those that answered most of my questions in the time of need. Thanks once again………………………………. Please am still battling with the flight issue due to the high fares for ticket. Please any one that have details on how to go about the booking of local flight from New York (JFK) to El Paso because she will be using the services of Doctores ParaTi. Please brothers and sisters I need help with the flight infos |

LadyGuinivere: Ist, is the date your wife picked still vacant? If it is, then you can rescedule from the appointment page whilst being careful to ensure you do not exceed the 2 times allowed. If not OYO is your name and your money don go. Thanks so much LadyGuinivere for your comment i really appreciate. The date my wife and baby picked is 30th this month end and i picked 20th Sept. because am suppose to be due for vacation 9th Sept that was why i choose 20th. I have logged in to check if there is still space for August but all i can get is Sept because its stated in the page that i cant get any other date expect i have to choose a date ahead of the initial one (20th Sept). Paying another fee is not the issue all i just need is a way i can make it with them same interview date. Please, apart from this procedure, is there any other way which i have to follow to get same date as my wife or i have to stay till 20th Sept?. |

Good evening great Men and Women, Please I need info as regards to visa appointment change of date. I, my wife and baby applied for a B1/B2 visa for vacation and childbirth and we booked a different appointment date because I will not be around the said date I choose for them due to my work schedule. But today I received a mail from our head office that I will be going on vacation with the other guys earlier than my real date for vacation. Now I want to change my appointment date to the same date with my wife and baby since I will be home few days to that day. Please I need help on how to go about it. Can I just log in and choose same date with my wife and baby and print a separate appointment letter as I have done earlier?... Please I really need help because I just received the mail few hours ago. |
