With better organisation from the Nigeria Football Federation, Nigeria without ANY doubt have the potential to worry the established world order in football. This has been the case for the last 20yrs. We need to fulfil this potential. Congrats to my boys!

saintkel:

Phew!!! *wipes brow* Finally, somebody with sense.

tnx bro

u beat traffic u hear kokoko (gun shots) for ur car.

nothing wrong with our flag and the colour, the coat of arms should have been embeded right at the middle of the white in the flag. i would have loved that, other than that the flag is cool.

EVILFOREST:
I said this same thing on NAIRALAND here about last 3 months.
I said no Credit should be given to the Forerunner.

He never Knew that other COLORS existed.
Other Primary, brighter colors.
The FLAG was designed by a FARMER, probably.
Who only Looked up into the SKY to see WHITE CLOUD and looks down to see GREEN grasses.

and what is wrong about our colours?

MLS champion Adi: Oliseh has assured me of Eagles chance

Adi (right) celebrates MLS Cup triumph with Portland Timbers

Fanendo Adi, who won the MLS Cup 2015 with Portland Timbers, has revealed he has spoken with Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh, who has assured him he will soon be called up on the back of his exploits in the United States of America.

Benue State-born Adi netted 19 goals this season for Portland to clinch a historic MLS triumph.

“I am hopeful (I will be called up by Nigeria). I have talked with the coach and he has assured me I will get my time,” he said.

Adi, who has also featured in Slovenia, was a few years ago called up by the Nigeria Olympic team.

With a year left on his contract with Portland Timbers, Adi said he will rule out a move away from MLS before the expiration of his contract.

Speculations have linked him with a move to England, Italy or Mexico.

“I have been hearing the rumours, but there is nothing official yet,” he said.

“I still have contract with Portland Timbers, but we will look into any offers.”

What is happening to this once very active and vocal thread. Where has everybody gone so all of a sudden.

terzurum5, icon4s, safarigirl, TheGoodJoe, SuperNerd, and co.

joseph1013, Bascovanveli, enomakos and Mikron are now the only guys moving the thread.

WHERE IS EVERYBODY! NIGERIA HAS QUALIFIED FOR THE OLYMPICS. REASON FOR WHICH THIS THREAD WAS CREATED AND LO AND BEHOLD THE MAJOR ACTORS HAVE ABSCONDED.

dont worry bro, they will surely come bck, sometimes lack of data might be the cause for being absent, but i trust my bubbling sports fans here, dem no dey dull themselves.

Our impressive CV
3 AFCON titles,
5 senior world cup appearances,
3 second round qualification at FIFA World Cup,
7 AWC (African youth championship) titles,
6 FIFA WWC (women world Cup) appearances,
2 FIFA WWC quarter final qualification
5 under 17 male world champions
7 AWC (African women championship) tiltles
1 Olympic gold in men football event & 1 silver

And many more. Abeg help me add d ones I forgot to mention.
Which African country has a better record? Naija is blessed. The land is green

Now my confidence has re-awakened like I said initially. The gold is ours to win at the finals on Saturday and only 5 players will make it to Rio among this current team while foreign professionals will take the center stage. kelechi iheanacho, chidiebere nwakali, (mancity,) Alex iwobi (Asenal Fc,) Isaace success (granada Fc), ndidi wilfred, moses Simon (Ghent) Musa yahaya (totenham hotspurs) Musa Muhammed, Godwin saviour, not forgetting solid home based Kingsley sokari. And of course the 3 overage players that will make up d final 23man team. Another gold beckoning in RIO. Naija is blessed. The land is green

Though the Algerian team are a fast side and tactically sound too and their defense is also strong too but I believe come Saturday they ll go down, it's difficult beating naija in finals of major competitions like this, we ll beat Algeria come Saturday, hopefully injured awoniyi will be fit, not forgetting d mercurial winger dimgba, I hope they recover quickly, thank God team captain azubike Okechukwu ll be back. Sia1 should play golden boy osimhen in d final, that boy committed d defence of d Senegalese into committing that blunder that led to d penalty. The boy is marvellous. Naija is blessed.
