this isn't his preferred tactics either but we have to win...we all know that Ancelotti likes his teams to press but we are still figuring it out cos right now our press is very disjointed and it's mostly due to how our Midfielders are built...Valverde and Carma would be more efficient pressers but they can't start important games right now....so Ancelotti had to do what he had to do to grind out wins cos our club no be where dem dey experiment...no time

Deceleration in planes is nothing any human body can survive. It knocks everyone unconscious, snaps the spinal cord, and everyone is dead even before the plane eventually crashes to the ground or rocks (as is the case of this one).
is there a way they can use parachute to avoid death in plane crash as seen in Air Force one?

Politics › JAMB Stops Varsities, Others From Running Distance Learning by milann(op): 8:53am On Oct 26, 2021
Universities and other tertiary institutions running degree programmes can no longer admit candidates on their sandwich, distance learning, part-time and other programmes directly, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said.

The board also said it had cancelled the regularisation of “backdoor admissions” conducted by higher institutions, going forward.

It directed that said henceforth, all admissions into various programmes in tertiary institutions must be processed through JAMB, warning institutions not to flout the new rule.

JAMB announced the new advisory in its weekly news bulletin released yesterday in Abuja by its Head of Media and Protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.

“The JAMB would no longer condone any illegal/ irregular admission by any institution,” the board warned.

The bulletin reads: “The advisory further made it clear that the new hardline position taken by the board was informed by the quantum of applications received from candidates for condoning illegal admissions, popularly known by candidates as ‘Regularisation’.

“…Such ignoble acts would no longer be tolerated by the board.

“The advisory further reiterated that all applications for admissions to first degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma and the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) into full-time, Distance Learning, part-time, outreach, sandwich, among others, must be processed only through the JAMB.

“Consequently, institutions which are still involved in advertising or selling ‘application forms’ for admissions into the programmes listed above were advised to desist forthwith.

“The advisory, therefore, enjoined institutions to advise their candidates to apply to them through the JAMB, adding that duplication of application forms is also not allowed.

“On the other hand, candidates are to ensure that any admission issued to them by any institution is routed through the board, even before considering to accept such offers.

“The advisory stated that the board would not succumb to pressure from any quarter to clear any candidate for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or other essential needs if he/she had accepted any admission from any institution which did not follow laid-down regulations, as emphasised above.

“The JAMB and the three regulatory agencies: the National Universities Commission (NUC), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) will ensure that all tertiary institutions comply with this policy directive.

“Other professional regulatory agencies are also expected to play critical roles in sanitising the process. In the same vein, the board restated the need to streamline academic standards and maintained that the duration of all Non-full time studies must be maintained as approved by the regulatory agencies.”

Business › Multichoice Gets Approval To Appeal N1.8trn FIRS Levy by milann(op): 8:29am On Oct 21, 2021
The Lagos Tax Appeal Tribunal (TAT) that Multichoice Nigeria Limited, owners of DSTV, has met the conditions to appeal against the N900bn levied on it by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

The decision is coming two months after a Tax Appeal Tribunal sitting in Lagos ordered Multichoice to pay 50 per cent of N1.8trn which the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) had determined through a forensic audit to be the tax liability owed the government by Multichoice Nigeria.

By this, Multichoice is to pay the sum of N900bn to the tax authority before the matter could be heard.

The FIRS had on April 7, issued Notices of Assessment and Demand Note in the sum of N1.82trn to Multichoice, which was disputed.
Not comfortable with the decision, Multichoice filed a suit in the TAT in August which it was ordered to settle the 50 per cent based on the Order XI of the TAT Procedure Rules 2010.

The court had told Multichoice that for the case to be heard, based on the Order XI of the TAT Procedure Rules 2010, it must make the statutory deposit required under Paragraph 15(7) of the Fifth Schedule to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (Establishment) Act 2007 (FIRS Act).

In certain defined circumstances to which the Multichoice appeal fits, Paragraph 15(7) of the Fifth Schedule to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (Establishment) Act 2007 (FIRS Act) requires persons or companies seeking to contest a tax assessment to pay all or a stipulated percentage of the tax assessed before they can be allowed to argue their appeal contesting the assessment at TAT.

Politics › Gunmen Kill Two Traditional Rulers In Imo by milann(op): 9:23am On Oct 20, 2021
The police in Imo State, Nigeria’s South-east, have confirmed the killing of two traditional rulers in the state.

The incident happened on Tuesday at Nnenasa in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo, said the spokesperson for the police in Imo State, Mike Abattam, according to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Mr Abattam, a chief superintendent of police, said the police were investigating the killings to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The slain traditional rulers have been identified as E. Duruebere of Okwudor autonomous community and Sampson Osunwa of Ihebinowerre autonomous community, both in Njaba.

The gunmen were said to have stormed a meeting of some traditional rulers and stakeholders at Nnenasa on Tuesday and opened fire, killing the two traditional rulers instantly.

The shooting caused those who attended the meeting to scamper for safety, said a source who did not want his name mentioned in the report for fear of attack.

“The gunmen shot sporadically, hitting the traditional rulers in the process and left the scene almost immediately,” the source said.

The source said many people at the scene sustained injuries.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Imo State is regarded as the epicentre of the pro-Biafra group, IPOB’s operations in the South-east.

The region has witnessed several killings and destruction of property because of the agitation for an independent republic, Biafra.

The tape was as disappointing as I imagined. There is a formula to making these things that Nigerian entertainers are now following. Male fans are the ones to gain from this as well as Tiwa herself. If you notice, there was a dismembered phallus penetrating her with no male face attached. Her sex appeal just rose from that because men will imagine themselves being the subject. Let Genevieve do quick and release hers. Ten seconds is too short for my liking, I want twenty to thirty-five minutes. Janemena's was highly disappointing.
