Faithiey:I just got the mail this morning..... please do you have any past questions on this, as this is my first time of writing the access bank graduate trainee exam? Atleast, let me know what I am about to face |
dawnomike:Well appreciated BOSS |
All my post here on nairaland has been from seeking one advice or the other. Lol....it is well. So, permit me to say that, this gonna make it exactly one year I completed my one year National service....it has not been easy for me.....from one odd job to another all in the name of getting experience but I decided to call it a quit from one of the job that I was doing....very tedious job, working from 8-9.30pm, sometimes I use to reach my house by 10:00pm to 11:pm. It was totally stressful for me. Health wise, I was not getting myself, until I decided to call it a quit. Remember, the pay is 50k and I spend almost 30k in a month to and fro....so the work was not really paying me. Apart from that, it was a work meant for O level holders not for a graduate of 2:1 that has completed Nysc. Mehn, to cut story short, I saw shege in the work from standing up without sitting for 14hrs straight to carrying different loads for customers to receiving various degrees of insults from colleagues and superiors...it was hell. Early this year, I decided to focus fully on self development, like taking one or two courses with free certification from online platforms like udemy and Alison but couldn't find any. Just completed a course on supply chain and management but when I wanted to get the certificate, atleast to use it as a proof incase I want to apply for work on that area but, unfortunately Alison said I should pay....mhen the money was much, I think around 15 euros, I decided to leave the certificate with them. My plan this year is to aggressively apply to any entry level and graduate trainee opportunities but it seems this forth coming election is trying to spoil the plans for me. Regards, I am still keeping my hopes alive. So incase you don't know, I am currently unemployed, looking for good opportunities in any job role, connections and offers. My academic background stems from faculty of biological sciences, university of Nigeria, Nsukka....dept of Environmental Biology and Zoology.... graduated with a high 2:1....and I will be 25 by May. So I really need a lot of advice from the experienced folks out there. It is not getting easy for some of us that entered the labour market without having any godfather or senator that will give us federal government appointment. What and what should I do to land a good paying job atleast for the main time because some of us have goals to pursue....some want to travel and some want to pursue their masters but in all this, we want to follow due process. Because of this issue of unemployment, I got registered on upwork using my mobile phone and I got approved but the main issue is lack of laptop. So you see why I need a good paying job, atleast to finance of some of my plans to reach where I want to be in life. So, my dear good people of nairaland, all advice and insults are welcomed. I will be here to answer any of una questions. I'm sorry that the post is too lengthy. Mods Please help me move to the promised land oooo |

Personal professional certification include Health Safety and Environment professional certification, Digital marketing and business strategy taken from udemy and I can freelance and write articles too. My work experience include....working as a Senior Science teacher during Nysc....Sales officer in a fast growing supermarket.....I have 1 year of experience in each of this..... please help me sir.....I am open to any entry level role and graduate trainee programs SMJay: |
Continuation...... So the work I got recently working in a supermarket is too stressful....I work from Sunday to Sunday....14hrs standing....mhen e no easy.....as a graduate, I am not seeing any long-term benefit in tge work because I even have waec holders as colleagues and some of them are paid more than I. So if you are in my shoes.....what is the best way to get a good job ? What skills should I add to my resume or professional certification course should I take? As the firstborn of my family, responsibilities are piling up for me. I was learning web development before my laptop got spoilt.... motherboard got burnt. Please I need sincere advice. I studied Zoology and Environmental Biology....2'1 |
Nigerian labour market is not so rosy or will I use the term...easy" for young graduates that don't have any connection to get good jobs. I still remember the year I got admission to study Zoology and Environmental Biology at UNN at a tender age 17....At first, I didn't want to study the course because the course I initially chose is not what was given to me..... because I didn't meet the cut off point....na so I entered UNN with the mindset of switching over to medicine or nursing science in my second year.....but it didn't work out as planned. As the first child of my parents, I said I have to make the best out of the one I am admitted in already because I still have siblings that are growing up to be trained in the uni and my parents cannot do it alone.... atleast as the firstborn, I need to help in my own little way too. Naso I focused on the course and finally graduated with second class upper in the year 2019 at the age of 21..…because of what I have been exposed to and people that I was mingling with who are more matured than me, it made me to look more matured in face and how I do things.....I went for Nysc 2021 post covid and completed it 2022 . Was posted to a remote village in Ogun state where I was posted to a remote private school....saw hell in that school...all their workforce there are all corp members....the school didn't provide me that time to run volunteering work atleast to have job experience....so for complete one year, I was some how stagnant in my career progression. After service, the main struggle to get a good job started. After like 2 months, I got a work in a supermarket as a cashier and mall attendant with a pay of 50k....but the work is too stressful in the sense that I stand 14 hours attending to customers and carrying drinks and items for customers..... |
Na how una go dey talk....unless the capital dey to push your studies abroad after your bsc here......all this biological sciences courses no worth am.... As I dey like dis.....went to one of the best schools in Nigeria and graduated with 2:1 from a department under biological sciences.,...to get job na wahala.... Na graduate trainee jobs I dey focus on now |
Malawii:Hi boss I am interested in this opportunity but the major issue is that I base in Badagry Lagos State. Graduated with 2:1 department of Zoology and Environmental Biology UNN. Currently 24years. Did some online courses in Digital marketing and I have mid level experience with microsoft office...both excel and powerpoint, word. I am interested BOSS |
I completed my Nysc Feb this year and I know countless of bank assessment exams I have taken......I took firstbank, access, didn't take polaris because my system motherboard got spoilt on that day which I will not forget and that's has been a hinderance on writing so many of this exams again......got myself engaged for now with a supermarket job that's is stressing the shit out of me....with little pay. Just wanna raise some money and pursue my dreams.....my good grades cannot just waste like that.... currently 24 and will be 25 by may next year......so no much time again |
Just take the declined slip from the post agent and go to your bank..,.it will be rectified |
Congratulations to her..... 24 year old me is still looking for money to further my studies in USA |
If u are the one that broke the girls virginity.....engage her, wait and do DNA test to avoid paternity fraud |
As funny as it sounds......one of the reason I read so well back then was because ofy ambition of going over to US to do my Masters.... although I still have that plan but finances is what is drawing me back......reason I feel like I am too old at 24 SPAMBOX7: |
lilvicky68:No.....I am not in competition with anyone but I have responsibilities......younger siblings that needs to be taken care of and I happens to be the first issue.....so you see.....much responsibility lies upon my shoulder....reason I am trying to buckle up |
U just described the job VeeVeeMyLuv: |
Starz825:Wetin u wan man pikin to do nah? Man gatz survive nah...... atleast God understands perfectly well more than humans |
The job might not give you time to apply for other jobs or go for interviews sha. If you're capable, you can take it before your next interview comes up. Exactly.....I can actually apply for work but it is attending interview that will be the issue......but like an OP said above.....the best thing is to zero mind and work there for six months and see what next |
You people and funny questions. You are the one who knows your stamina and only you can decide what to do. Even if you are able to stand for long, I believe you have ambition. Use that as a stepping stone to greater things. [/quote Yes sir I have ambition but Mehn as I am seeing the work, Mehn the work will not give me that time to pursue my ambition atleast for now. I'm currently 24 years and I feel that I don't have much time like that again |
shege45:I am telling you bro. Can you imagine that some of the senior staffs in the organization.....I am even more qualified than them......the only difference is the years and experience the have spent in the supermarket |
