cjrane: I personally don't like the male Ghanians.Their females are usually polite, intelligent and with a modern world view.Their males are usually filled with serious inferiority complex and unnecessary jealousy.Especially the Twi and Asante amongst them. The Ewes seem more educated and sophisticated in their world view. I guess the average Ghana man attitude has to do with the psychological trauma that comes with many years they remained one of the poorest countries in Africa.Anyhow, the Ghanian males are usually unintelligent and almost primitive in their thinking.

Your observation cannot be entirely correct. Almost all the Ghanaian males I know in Los Angeles are intelligent and welcoming. I am sure they would say the same thing about Nigerians if another Ghanaian were to make the same claims you just made. Don't let your experience with one or few people to cloud your opinion of an entire country. As a Nigerian, that is exactly what I am suffering from. People find it difficult to trust you due to your mere nationality. There should be a way to combat this.

I appeal that you stop copying & pasting on the thread. Create a friendly and welcoming environment for dialogue. Believe me most people wouldn't read a sentence of what you are posting. Allow those who are ready to impart some knowledge unto themselves to do the research themselves. I hope you take my appeal into consideration. Thank you.

latest: How then do u think u nd the entire world u live in came into existence? Let it be known to u that in as much as God is so merciful and tolerant to take shit(blasphemy) from his creation, HE is as well a "consuming fire". Acknowledge Him today nd turn a new live.

There are credible scientific explanations to how the universe came into existence. All you have to do is go to your nearest library and get yourself some book. Challenge yourself in this field. Don't allow others to do the thinking for you. Question your belief system...research, read more, and try to ascertain the real truth on your own. I understand this may be difficult for you but trust me you be would glad you did. Ask yourself this...why do I question other people's belief system yet never does the same to mine? Put yourself in others shoe and question your belief system. Intelligent and scientific books would set you free, trust me on that.

Absolutely correct. grin
Not every Nigerian is prone to criminal behavior.

Not every disciple sold Jesus like Judas Iscariot.
But the harm affected all Christians. . . .and the whole world, after Jesus was killed for nothing.

Lessons learned:Evil is borne by the collective group, even when a few are the perpetrators.
Individuals make up any society. . .As a Nigerian. . .you have to share the collective pride and shame of your fellow individuals. We are ALL affected as the world does not see you as individuals. . .BUT AS A SOCIETY OR GROUP! kiss
A shameful act by ONE Nigerian is a shameful act to ALL Nigerians.

Thank you very much! kiss

I haven't been in Nigeria for over a decade yet I get abused daily for the sake of being one. However most intelligent people, as observed by the writer are able to understand that not all Nigerian share the same behavior and ethics.

Don't mind those Ghanaians. Another Ghana guy articulated this issue much more accurately. I just posted it in the politics section.

https://www.nairaland.com/1061933/interesting-ghanaian-thoughts-nigeria

There are kind people almost everywhere, especially women. Majority of Westerners who visit Ghana would affirm that Ghanaians are hospitable and generous people. Most West Africans would, however, disagree with that observation. I bow my head in shame conceding this truth. Nigerians, Sierra Leoneans, Liberians and many other West African nationals are cast in a certain light on the mind of the typical Ghanaian - uncultured and prone to immoral behavior. Nigeriophobia is an example. This is the irrational fear that almost every Nigerian is prone to criminal behavior and that one must avoid coming in contact with them at every possible opportunity. This unfounded fear is widespread not only in Ghana but around the continent and beyond. There is no truth to this, however. Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa and the 7th populous in the world and has over six times the population of Ghana. In terms of land mass, Nigeria is about four times the size of Ghana. I can put it in this form - in every square mile of random world population, a Nigerian has about 1.9-2.0% chance of appearing than a Ghanaian. The Ghanaian population is about 15% of the Nigerian. One and half (1.5) percent of the Nigerian population is about 2.4million. That is the population of Accra and Cape Coast combined. Imagine criminals the size of both Accra and Cape Coast' populations combined, unleashed on the world from a single country. Well that is one and half percent of the Nigerian population. By these mathematical considerations, it makes lots of sense to dismiss the notion that almost every Nigerian is prone to criminal behavior. The intelligent approach to this is to consider every criminal or immoral behavior on individual basis. Every Ghanaian is only credit to Ghana but personally responsible for their actions. If this principle is true, we can agree that it applies to every country.

We can easily deduce that, the prejudice towards other West Africans in Ghana is borne out of the cultural differences. It is true for instance that there exist vast cultural differences between say Liberia and Ghana. Taking Liberia for instance, the country was founded only in the mid nineteenth century by black colonialists who migrated from the United States. They were the freed black slaves who settled and colonized the indigenous in that area. In addition, freed slaves from captured slave ships were also sent there. The area was saturated with racial supremacy as the Americans thought of themselves as being more superior over the indigenous and other slaves. Unlike us, large portion of the population did not have any deep-seated cultural heritage to guide them. It was a whole new beginning for them. Whilst most Ghanaian ethnicities and its' heritage have been in existence in this area for hundreds of years, Liberia and most of its ethnicities have only been around for less than 200 years. Majority of them lacks distant cultural background. Under this basis, you should understand why a Liberian may behave in a manner which may be misconstrued by the Ghanaian as uncultured. One can make the case that their cultural refinement is taking its own pace. Is that not a characteristic of a young society?

And we have also noted an exponential increase in Satanic activities, but let us leave that for another day, so we dont distracted the thread.

Satanic activities? Very interesting formation of words. What could those activities be? I'm curious. To be able to register and contribute on Nairaland is an indication you are an adult....i cannot rationalize my thoughts around the idea that an adult still believes an imaginary opposing force called satan or the devil actually exist? The level of intelligence in Nigeria is much lower than I actually thought. What has happened since I left my dear country? Is that what the level of education has reduced people into?

My bible says that only f.ools say in their heart, there is no God... So simply put, u r a f.ool.

And my Kaboki (BigFoot's scripture) says only f.ools say in their heart, there is no BigFoot. So simply put,...I will not resort to ad hominem because BigFoot forbids it.

See...it fits right doesn't it?

First I did not say the human specie was the most complex. My logic is if I kept parts of a car and allowed it by chance to form a car,it woulnt. It would take an inteliigent being to do this and make a car.
In my opinion, complex life form even given billions of years and chance would not have formed life as we know it.
As per the analogy, that any inteligent being has to be made by one superior to it. As in God made man, so what made God? who knows, it could be Logically true. I have a broad mind and I am of the opinion that religion, sprirituality,Logic and Truth should never be separated. If God created us to think logically and even develop science why should he make certain thing illogical? Which begs the question, could it be that people just twisted the truth about life to suit their wordly pursuits of power and authority? Lol! Logic!

Area Boy just gave you a befitting answer.

By the number of responses to this thread so far...you could use this as an evidence that, there's close relation between high IQ and the non believe in religion and all the god nonsense. You question nothing as long as god and religion are tacked in somewhere. What a waste of the human brain.

Psylas: because u don't feel His existence

By your assumption...I'm wondering which God you are actually referring to? Which one among the over thousands that exist? Would you be surprised to know I actually feel the existence of one right now? His name is BigFoot. It's a giant monster, and lingering in the sky. In fact it's the God that is making sure Nigeria isn't destroyed by earthquake.

I am sure you must be thinking I'm crazy....do you not? Well that is how crazy you sound to me too. You might require to see the evidence that BigFoot truly exist and it is all that I claim to be. How do I prove it is indeed the God making sure dear Nigeria isn't destroyed by earthquake? Do you want me to prove it? Well prove yours first. You made a claim...I also just made one. Lets see who's right

...
..... see how silly religion and all the god nonsense are?

Really.

As complex as a car is, doesnt it have a maker?
So as more complex as the human is why wouldn't a human have a maker?

Just wondering.

As rhymz intelligently inquired, by that analogy, where do we stop? We only stop questioning when comes to the form of deity you believe in?

You must understand that it is much easier to make any wild claims than to prove them. Just last night I demonstrated to a fellow Nigeria why evidence is very much needed to ascertain the truth of any event. Take this sentence from the bible for instance...."Jesus walked on the river" Only change the the adverb and you have a whole different meaning which still makes sense. "Jesus walked by the river". How do we know the later wasn't the true event that occurred? To truly know, we need evidence. Do not believe anything until you have evidence and good reason to. This is how religion has worked over the past thousands of years.

You hold the wrong analogy. I will not divulge into the reason why a car is a wrong analogy. You should be able to intelligently discern that.

The hominid is not actually one of the complex organisms. Water bears are biologically more complex than the hominid. I'm sure this has been said to you on a number of occasions - there is evidence, if you are ready to look at it that, we are descendant of a long line of hominids. We are a product of million years of random chance.

First, you must be able to provide evidence your god (which one among the several that exist?) exist. Don't ask me to prove s/he/it doesn't exist since the negative cannot be proven. Prove it first and then we go from there.
