This is one of the biggest things happening in Ebonyi State now as it's going to be one of the biggest events and also a start of something new in Ebobyi State. This is an impressive move towards making the state a mega city after it has suffered set backs in the past. Are you going to be in Ebonyi this December? You just found yourself somewhere great to visit. wink

This is way beyond the so called climate Change Hullabaloo.

He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
Psalm 107:33-34

Until Nations, Leaders and People understand that it is GOD ALMIGHTY that runs this earth and Humble themselves before HIM, Submit to HIS Lordship and obey HIS Commandments, these Disaters will multiply and multiply. And the World will continue to lament and lament.

Listen, Believe it or not, The Only way to the World's sanity is for the Nations, Leaders and People to Submit to the Lordship of JESUS Christ.

Nairaland / General / Crude Oil Remains Nigeria Biggest Problem by milesyoyos(m): 9:49am On Mar 28, 2021
Imagine we had no crude oil.
Imagine we are still in the groundnut pyramid era.

Here is my analysis;

Why would a country be so self not to fix regular light. Reasons being so many people pay heavyly so as to keep importing generators and also this same crude is sold back to the masses. This means the sole controllers are earning in two ways.

Imagine we had no crude oil and our only source is to buy from other countries. Don't you think they will only get oil just to fuel cars and in turn see why they should install steady power for further development.

If only Nigeria had agriculture as it's source of income trust me, farms will be gold and even the destructive herder will understand that too.

Let's flood discussions around this thread, it's just for mindful Nigerians ooo.

What's your take on this matter?

Eze Igwe: The Future Of Ebonyi South Is Here

By Sylvernus Egwu

For long, the Nigerian polity has vitiated the aphorism that "youths are the leaders of tomorrow" by perpetually shifting the "tomorrow" of the youths. Even the Not-Too-Young-To-Run Act which seemed to ventilate the political space in favour of the young has equally been defeated by the exorbitant costs of our elections. Actualizing the leadership of the young in Nigeria, nay Africa, therefore requires determined young people or change agents who understand that "today was yesterday's tomorrow"! This is where Mr. Eze Igweogboffia, a positive change agent that is tired of the cycle of inept gerontocracy in Nigeria and who believes that the future is here comes into focus.

Eze Igweogboffia, the Alliance of New Nigeria, ANN, senatorial candidate for Ebonyi South district of Ebonyi State, was born to the family of Stanley-Iyk Igwe of the Igwe Ogboffia royal dynasty of Abomege in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on 18th September, 1978. Eze grew up in Ngodo area of Afikpo. He attended Government Primary School, Afikpo from 1983-1988; and Government Secondary School Afikpo from 1989-1994. In 1996, Eze got admission to study Economics in Abia State University, Uturu. He graduated with a Second Class Upper Division BSc in 2000. He was later posted to Niger State for his mandatory NYSC service, but eventually redeployed to Lagos in search of better and bigger challenges. Eze later enrolled for and obtained an Executive Masters degree in Project Management from the Metropolitan School of Business and Management, London. He also holds numerous certifications and awards from different institutions and organizations.

Eze Igwe did his NYSC primary assignment in PBTG Consulting, a Management Consultancy firm, and was retained at the end of his service by the firm as an Investment/Financial Analyst in December 2002. He left PBTG in May 2003 for Diamond Bank PLC where he started off as a Teller and left as a Customer Service Manager in June 2008. He joined UBA PLC as a Branch Operations Manager and eventually rose to the position of Profit Centre Manager in less than a year. He left UBA in 2010 and joined Multichoice Africa where he served in various positions ranging from Dealer Support Manager, Dealer Audit Manager, Channels Development Manager, Digital Migration Project Manager to Corporate Sales Manager (Nigeria) with outstanding performances and results. He left Multichoice in April 2015 and joined IrokoTV as Head of Offline Sales and Marketing and spent just a few months before the long urge for Entrepreneurship took hold of him. The jobs at Multichoice Africa and IrokoTV saw him working in different African countries such as South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, Uganda and Ghana. Eze Igwe left IrokoTV in October 2015 and started Oraqleen Services, a household services company and eventually founded 3rdRetail Africa in April 2016, a technology driven trade and distribution services company. He is presently the Managing Partner of 3rdRetail Africa.

In Community Development and Civil Liberty Advocacy, Eze started off with Divine Love Charity Fund (DLCF) in 2002 in his NYSC days. In 2008, he started the Afikpo Elite Forum Lecture series. In 2012, he founded The Ebonyi Youth Enterprise (The EYE) to provide career counseling and job opportunities for young Ebonyians. In January 2016, he founded Ebonyi Transparency & Accountability Network (ETAN), a civil advocacy group of professionals from Ebonyi State with the objective of entrenching transparency and accountability in public office and insisting on good governance.

In 2017, Eze alongside a few professionals who were fed up with the dysfunctional Nigerian State, galvanized for the registration of Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) as a political party. ANN is a technocrats-driven political party focused on birthing a new Nigeria that works for everybody especially the younger generations whose future has been endangered and mismanaged by poor and corrupt leadership over the years. He was the pioneer National Vice Chairman of ANN for the South East.

Today, Eze Igweogboffia popularly known as Oracle is the Senatorial Candidate for Ebonyi South Senatorial Zone on the platform of Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN). His passion for improving the educational standards of our country, ensuring the enabling environment for ease of doing business to create jobs for the younger generation and insisting on a generational shift in leadership is going to be actualized through this ambition. Eze's wealth and years of versatile professional experience has prepared him for disciplined corporate and result oriented leadership. Amongst the contenders for Ebonyi South senatorial seat, Eze stands out as the most morally, educationally, professionally, psychologically, mentally and physically sound candidate who is prepared to deliver bold and striking representation to the people of Ebonyi South Senatorial District. He has built his campaign and ambition around three pillars: Education Reform to create an ideas-driven generation of young people; Jobs creation through leveraging the capacity of his office to support job creation for the teeming unemployed young people of Ebonyi South Senatorial district; And most importantly to inspire a new generation of leaders through a well crafted Youth Leadership Development program that will be driven through his NGO, The Ebonyi Youth Enterprise (THE EYE). Eze plans to drive socially-impacting programmes in each Local Government Area of Ebonyi South district using a facility that houses a library, indoor games, an ICT co-creation hub and a skills acquisition faculty.

Versatile and vibrant Eze Igweogboffia personifies the positive youth constituency of our great country to the future belongs. The time now is "youth O' clock" because today was yesterday's tomorrow which we all agreed to hand leadership over to youths. For the people of Ebonyi South senatorial district, their future is here and they have no better option than to vote for their future.

Stumbled upon this letter from ANN Senatorial Candidate Representing Ebonyi South Mr Eze Igweogboffia which he tagged and open Letter to PDP and APC Ebonyi Senatorial Candidates

I think he made a whole lot of sense in it. Read below!

OPEN LETTER TO CHIEF AMA NNACHI (PDP) AND PRINCE ONU NWEZE (APC); CANDIDATES IN THE EBONYI SOUTH SENATORIAL RACE - EZE IGWEOGBOFFIA (ANN).

Dear Sirs,

It is with a deep sense of humility that I write you this letter, just 9 days to the elections where your good selves are billed to contest with my humble self in the 2019 Senatorial elections for Ebonyi South. It is an honour and a privilege for a paperweight like me to be mentioned in the same category with Heavyweights like you. We indeed have arrived at a political junction in our history where our realities, demography and idiosyncrasies have caught up with us. Now options exist for our people in a hitherto environment that has witnessed a lot of imposition and abrogation of the peoples will. That I am listed to contest in this election is proof that our politic has come full circle.
The purpose of my letter is not to analyze the political permutations of Ebonyi South or even Ebonyi State but to bring to the fore the growing agitation by the young people of our zone to produce its own generational leaders which might have escaped your attention.

It's 2019, and in recent times we have witnessed a natural paradigm shift across the world that is throwing up a new generation of leaders to deal with contemporary issues of governance and wean the world of age long fixations on obsolete mechanics and practices that hold Nigeria and the rest of Africa down. The INEC shortlist puts your ages at 50 and 58 respectively, which we curiously doubt, but myself being a late bloomer at 40 consider you duo as approaching retirement and will buck the trend with your quest to represent us at the Senate. Over 60% of our population are millennial (born from 1984) with needs and realities you will struggle to come to terms with nor legislate about. The language of majority of our constituents is one you do not understand and will fail to communicate with. The present generation operates with limitless boundaries and pop culture that your experiences and preparedness will never comprehend. And because we do not intend to continue to waste valuable legislative space, we appeal to your sense of decency and community growth to relax the grip of the gerontocracy on our generation to allow us breathe new ideas into our legislative space through one of ours, Me.

The growing youth unemployment, the moral decadence, the youth unproductivity, the debilitating disabling environment, the distortions in age categories producing old men who still consider themselves youths just to stay in demand and the youth rebelliousness are burning issues that you won't be able to cope with and we sincerely appreciate your concerns. Being part of the problems as members of the old order, we doubt your capacity to be part of the solution. Only us can fix our own problems. The Young people of Ebonyi South appeal to you to give us the chance to come into our own and take our place.

We want to inspire a new generation of leaders by unlocking opportunities in the fast growing sectors of the world, which are no longer your areas of competence, and we honestly do appreciate your concern and efforts, but thanks all the same, we got this. We want to energize our communities through technology, we want to automate public sector processes, we want to entrench gender equality and civil liberties that are averse to the current conservative governance practices. *Most importantly, we want to have our say and our way*.

Nations of the world are moving at the speed of light, leveraging new ideas to recreate their legislation thereby unlocking socioeconomic and political opportunities. Our constitutional amendment can no longer be premised on medieval statutes and laws but on contemporary values and principles. We want to do away with the limits placed on our collective emancipation and breathe freedom into our laws. Human Rights are not negotiable but you have never seemed to understand that. Our values might seem too liberal for your understanding but we have not lost our sense of decency. And Sirs, words now have new meanings.

At 40 with 17 years cognate corporate professional experience in Banking and Finance, Communications, Consultancy, Retail and Information Technology sectors, it will be a disservice to this generation of Ebonyi Southerners to put our dreams and liberation on hold just to accommodate moribund interests.
Please look around you Sirs, you will see that it is a new world. We need to introduce a new order and your children are the biggest beneficiaries, so why rob us? We want to douse the palpable tension that your generation has built through mutual distrusts, conflict hangovers and sectionalism fixations. We want to pull down the boundaries that your generation created through stereotypes and myths. We want to focus on those issues, landmarks and affinities that make the Edda, Ohaozara, Ivo, Afikpo and Onicha young boy or girl a citizen of a world without boundaries, dreams without limits and energies to power our senatorial district.
The architectural designs of our youth centres are being reviewed as we speak. Draft bills to reform our education sector are in their finishing stages. Our co-creation hubs and startup incubators are being equipped. Negotiations with job creators and virgin investors are at advanced stages. International affiliations with global networks have been built. Documentaries on the sights and sounds of Ebonyi South are being commissioned. Please don't be the clog in our wheel of progress. We are the light of the world and darkness cannot comprehend us.

We want an accessible Senator and Representatives that we can hold accountable. That we can speak our minds to without fear nor cultural inhibitions. That we can hang out and banter with. That we can tweet, Snapchat. Instagram and Facebook with. A Senator that feels our pulse and shares our pains. A Senator that thrives in our realities and inspires us to dream, and pursue our visions. Our world is new and different, it holds our future and we wish not to further sacrifice it on the altar of mediocrities and nepotism.

We are young and free, please allow us to fix us. *#E4S #FollowTheLion*

Yours sincerely,

Eze Igweogboffia
