iykedare:Why are you so rude? Try contributing positively to another person's life, instead of being ugly. |
yim:You are so pretty |
banjicom:Why do you have two points complaining about women but not one about men? And what exactly are you insinuating by saying that women are now "fearless"? Whom should they be fearing? |

Honestly, I haven't yet read your letter but anyone who takes out the time to write a letter to just anyone these days - has my full respect. It's half past midnight where I am so perhaps if I have time in the morning I will read the OP and give a comprehensive review, you certainly deserve that much. You seem like a sweet and intelligent man, @eleojo23. Please do not allow the ignorant & emotionally bankrupt teens and man-children on this thread to muddle your perspective on love and relationships - you're on the right path. |
Mods, pls delete this thread if possible. ![]() Obinoscopy, Mynd_44, Ishilove, Seun, etc. |
emeraldoe:Oh yeah, as long as he eventually comes back to you and begins to reason like an adult - all is well. ![]() I just think, even in the moment when you're arguing, you should always remember why you married in the first place. Never let your negative feelings build up to the point where they become caustic venom ready to expel at the slightest err of your partner. What I mean is, the love you both share must always be at the forefront of your mind... everything else comes secondary. ![]() |
Should be idolizing/celebrating students who graduated with academic honors instead of those who are only rich in the monetary sense. ![]() |

Honestly, it sounds silly but I never knew people actually did this in a marriage. Whenever I get in arguments with my siblings... I resort to the silent treatment. Just recently me and one of my elder brothers started talking again after almost a month of the mutual "silent treatment." After reflecting on it, I feel pretty ashamed that I would go so long w/o talking to my own brother... But in a marriage? That's just sad. Not only should you be mature enough to handle your problems by taking turns to discuss what ails you, but a marriage is a team... and when not one but both partners of that team are not communicating properly - what's the use of keeping the team together? I believe in the old saying "Never go to bed angry" (it applies to marriages but also individual people) and if I ever do decide to get married, I hope to stay true to that adage. I saw a comment on the first page that read "It's mostly women who do that" and you're probably right. Some women can be rather catty and immature, and think that the only way to get what they want is to be childish and manipulative towards their husbands - totally wrong. But, man or woman, it's a bad idea and will only damage the bond between you and your husband. Also, think of the long-term effects. Your partner will learn to expect such behavior from you and consequently won't trust you so easily even after you've eventually "kiss and made-up." Like Dr. Phil always says... "It takes a 1,000 'atta-boys' to erase one 'you're an i.diot.'" ![]() |
drlawizle:Oh, I'm still African despite being born in the US ![]() No worries, many American Black men are the same. |
It's interesting that bums are always the topic on Nairaland... not once have I seen a topic admiring a woman's chest or even facial features. |
YourCoffin:I guess you have never heard of male chefs. |
Eberex:You're so pressed. It's making me chuckle. ![]() |
Eberex:Excuse you. ![]() I was under the impression that I could post cartoons/shows that I actually ENJOYED. I'm not going to post a cartoon that I didn't even watch myself nor did I enjoy. I didn't like fraggle rock, therefore I did not post a photo of it. I'm sorry if you are somehow pressed by my decision. Like I said in my other post, I obviously didn't grow up the same way everyone else did on this post. I guess my interests were and still are a bit eclectic and not slavishly uniform to the vast majority of posters on this thread. |
Eberex:Moesha started in 1996. My So-Called Life started in 1994. (The year I was born.) Bill Nye the Science Guy educational series started in 1993. CatDog started in 1998. All Real Monsters started in 1994. Adventures of Pete and Pete started in 1993. All of these are shows I grew up with from the start, perhaps with the exception of Courage the Cowardly Dog which began much later in 1999. |
Eberex:I'm 20 years old. Just because we didn't grow up watching the same shows, is not room enough for you to senselessly insult me. |
What is so difficult for people on this thread to simply understand that during the time the school rejected this students application, the mass hysteria (spearheaded by the media) was at an all-time high? People were scared and it's only right that they wouldn't allow someone from a country neighboring Liberia to come here when they could possibly be a carrier of the disease as well. Also, to people saying there were no Ebola cases in Nigeria; do some research. Stop thinking with your heart and start thinking with your head. And everything does not equate to racism just because America is involved. Think about the millions of dollars in aid America has sent to Africa and other continents/countries.. and yet you call all of them racists and bad people. |

birdman:OMGEEEE!! but I loved that show haha... it was really weird and scary I agree (I had nightmares to the point where my mom would not allow me to watch it for a couple days lol) but when I grew up and started watching it again I gained an appreciation for the originality of it. I mean, back when it first came out there were no cartoons like it. Everything on TV was cute and cuddly and all about saving the planet or some made up world under a rock. I still watch Courage to this day... I still watch most of those shows I posted till this day. Makes me miss my childhood a lot, though.https://couragede.tripod.com/kolchak/smrevenge49.jpg https://38.media.tumblr.com/01b1b1812c79db8f5cb51fb41bc5a051/tumblr_mpj8aqbiZ31s8i9q5o1_500.png https://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110125111227/courage/images/6/64/Space_Chicken%27s_Son.png |
